I won championships in the 3 out of 4 leagues I don't have the patience to type all three leagues (I'll just type up my Cbs league; who went 14-2!!). Wylde Stallyns Starters QB - Cutler, Edwards RB - Turner, T.Jones WR - Fitz, A.Johnson, White (this group is the main reason I blew my opponents out regularly) TE - Daniels PK - Carney TM - Titans Bench QB - Edwards RB - LT (a luxury to have on the bench), Taylor WR - Bryant (has a bright future), Breaston As Cbs stated, Jay Cutler was my high scorer. I took two stud wrs in the early rounds since we had to start 3 (and it paid dividends ). I did my homework and nailed Turner (don't get any ideas...lol)!! I normally slam Defenses, but the Titans were stellar.

Would you dare bench DeAngelo in your title game?
believe_in_gibbs replied to kennybanya's topic in FFToday Board
I wonder how many owners lost thanks to benching the #1 ranked rb in fantasy. Too many people second guessed themselves. I lit up my opponent by 54 thanks in large part to DeAngelo -
D Williams with 3 TDs in the game tonight.
believe_in_gibbs replied to Dallas_Empire's topic in FFToday Board
DeAngelo is a ridiculous stud!! 4 rushing tds vs the brusing G-Men. I drafted Williams in round 10 in one league and in round 12 in another league (can you say 'value' ). -
LMAO - So much for that top notch Cowboys D
believe_in_gibbs replied to Day Old Doughnut's topic in FFToday Board
Two longs runs for tds vs the vaunted Dallas 'd' I really didn't believe the hype about Romo and the Cowboys struggling in Dec. (sure the stats were there, but they've got so many weapons). After seeing Romo toss up that clinker in just the first quarter and the defense fold like a lawn chair (in the last game at Texas Stadium no less) the proof is overwhelming. -
Standard Scoring I've got Tomlinson, T.Jones, and Turner. Looking over the usual fantasy sites, it's awfully close between these three. I need to pick two. I respond to yours'

He has made some great plays on special teams (ie, he knocked Cribbs out on a kick return which would have been a td). Unfortunately, between his early injury bug and mental lapses (three offensive penalties) he's got a long way to go. The few catches that Thomas has caught have been flare screens. He's a burner (I saw him at training camp). The problem is that he doesn't get much separation (he's had trouble reacting to press coverage). I'd say a full training camp under his belt will give everyone a better idea if he's a legit receiver. Watch him next year and then make your decision.

I benched LT. Thomas Jones got me 17 pts I like Michael Turner's chances vs the Broncos who don't stop any rbs vs LT facing the NFL's second rated run 'd' in the Steelers. Besides, 78 rushing yds vs the Chefs is reason enough to realize LT isn't what he used to be...If you have any viable options, go with them over LT.

Local Skins fan here. Zorn stated in the Washington Post that he will go with a running back by committe (Alexander, Betts, and Cartright). Alexander is the offical starter for what it's worth. If Betts were 100% heathly (he's listed as questionable), he would start and rumble through the soft front seven of the Cowboys. People tend to forget that Betts rushed for over 1000yds in just 7 starts in 2006 With a crowded back field, I'd stay clear of Skins rbs tonight. The offensive line should have success. Campbell will likely be asked to do more tonight by Portis' absence (Zorn needs to open up the playbook like he did vs the Saints, Cowboys, and Eagles). I'll be at the game tonight

I've got some sweet receivers. The problem: I can't start them all... I. 8-Team PPR League Start three: Colston, TO, D.Jackson, V.Jackson, Edwards II. 10-Team Standard Scoring League Start two: R.White, Calvin Johnson, R.Moss, Colston, and Chambers Thanks a bunch. Leave a link!

15 views and not one response. Thanks a bunch guys

Bruce would be a nice start if you turned back the clock three years. While I'm starting Vincent Jackson over Edwards, Edwards will probably bounce back after last weekends drop-fest. Winslow is out so Edwards will be the focal point of the Browns offense.

The Bills are commited to the run so scratch Edwards (not to mention the guy has only thrown 5 tds in 6 games [and he hasn't had a game with more than one td!!). Garcia edges out Warner. Warner could put up some solid numbers with Boldin coming back (and Breaston coming on). Then again look what the Panthers did to Brees (the Panthers are ranked 2nd in the league vs the pass). Dallas has an imposing front seven (though they've been underacheiving this year allowing 25 pts per game [24th in the NFL]). I like Garcia's quick release and athleticism (which is truely remarkable considering his age). The Cowboys secondary is in shambles. Pac Man is on suspension. Newman still is listed as out with a groin injury. Start Garcia and sit back and watch the soap opera continue to unfold in big 'd' Please see mine

Calvin Johnson or Dewayne Bowe
believe_in_gibbs replied to Carl Eller's Dead Liver's topic in A Little Help!
You shouldn't change your mind. Skins fan here in VA. Everyone in the secondary is banged up (Springs is out) except for Landry. Johnson should have at least one big gain and a td. Start him!! Please see mine -
The Titans are the NFL's darlings (until they lose a game). Their defense is stout and their running game is potent. As 16 and 33 pointed out, the Titans haven't faced a premier qb to date. The tandem of Manning and Wayne are head and shoulders better than any of the other combinations (you do need to give Andre Johnson his due though). I'm starting my stud Wayne even though I've got depth at wide out.

I also saw the above post on RotoWorld. I'm starting him whether it's a smokescreen or not (I don't have an alternative ).

Is any L.T. owner benching him this weekend?
believe_in_gibbs replied to Kam187's topic in A Little Help!
Just 10 carries last weekend vs Denver before LT left the game. He's missed a few practices. It's not easy, but I've come to the conclusion to start Sproles (all he needs is one long run to do some serious damage ). Please See Mine -
Flex position-- LT, Sproles, K.Smith, E.Royal
believe_in_gibbs replied to whahaa's topic in A Little Help!
This LT toe injury is killing me too!! I just inserted Sproles into my line-up. Matthew Berry said, "if you've got LT, you've got to start him." I can see the logic because he was drafted #1 in most leagues. However, the difference could be five carries for LT; fifteen carries Sproles Another on the injury front is B.Edwards. I can't decide what to do with him Ok, deep breath. Start Sproles. Please See Mine -
I've got an underachieving 2-0 team (I think the bottom is going to fall out this weekend). After you look at my roster below you'll see why. I need some waiver wire advice along with trade advice. I'll preface my roster by mentioning that I drafted this team in mid-July (yes, I needed a fix Before I forget, this is a standard scoring league with a flex position. Roster: QB - D.Anderson, J.Delhomme RB - S.Jackson, L.Maroney, D.Williams, C.Taylor, F.Jones WR - Ward, Wayne, Housh, Stallworth, Crayton, Sweed (had Burleson) TE - Witten Who cares about the rest...Onto the wavier wire! The Wire QB - T.Edwards, Pennington, JT O'Sullivan, Cassel RB - Sproles, Hightower, Pittman, Dunn, M.Bush, F.Jackson (frighteningly thin huh?) WR - Stucky, B.Johnson, V.Jackson, D.Patton, D.Henderson (only if I trade one of my guys will I even look at this position) Who do you all like above? Since the rbs are a bit thin, I'm thinking maybe I should either trade for one or trade for a qb. I could sit and see how Delhomme does over the next two to three games...Any thoughts on who I should target (Graham, C.Johnson, or Lynch being that they're just outside the top ten rbs in my league)? If I go for a qb I was considering a Warner, Kitna-type guy since I don't want to give up the farm [ie, two of my wrs]). I'm considering the idea of shopping Ward since he's got 3 tds (I don't see him getting more than 5 or 6 the rest of the year). I like Wayne getting caught up on his once Manning shakes all of the rust (and the Colts get a semi-healthy J.Saturday back at center). Thanks a bunch in advance!! Those that know me realize that I'll return the favor

I've got some sticky decisions to make today: QB Anderson or Delhomme RBs (choose two) Maroney, DeAngelo Williams, Jackson Flex Fargas, DeAngelo Williams, DeSean Jackson See my sig.
-
Anyone else?!
-
I think the qb choice is pretty easy (Rogers). He's facing a Lions secondary that last year tied for allowing the most passing tds 31. He's got more weapons than Big Ben also (the weather does like shaky to boot). Winslow is tempting with this skill set but I'd take Shockey (especially considering that Colston went down [more targets]). See Mine

Both have favorable match ups. Eli should post respectable numbers. Keep in mind that Jacobs and the Giants running game will run the show (and likely the bulk of the second half with a lead). Cutler looked impressive against one of the stronger CB tandems in the NFL. With Marshall back in the fold, look for Cutler to explode this week (I'm starting him). The Giants are a run first offense. The Broncos are now a throw first offense by the looks of last Monday nights game (how many carries did Selvin Young get?). Check mine out!

Go with Grant, Turner (I'm starting him), and Warner. See Mine
