I don't think you can get by with those receivers. Smith is an afterthought and Chambers has been non-existant. You are going to need Colston and Edwards both. Who is your backup QB? Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=302225

If you can wait until just before game time, I would on this. If Henry is out, definetly Young. But you can't go wrong with Grant this week. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=302225

Which week are playing? Palmer is playing the Cardinals. I would go with Palmer since Adrian Wilson may be out as well as Eric Green. Although if Bulger is finally healthy and last week was any indication, he could be in for a big week. For WR, I would go TJ, Colston and Evans. Buffalo will be throwing a lot and Evans and Losman have been heating up. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=302225

The problem with Boldin is that he is not going to be 100% the rest of the season with that hip injury. He's going to be used more as a decoy from here on out. He can barely lift his leg after tearing the muscle from the bone earlier in the season. However, Boldin has balls of steel and don't be surprised with a big game or two the rest of the season. I don't know if I can say the same for Branch as Engram has really stepped up. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=302225

Favre vs Minny who he had over 300 yds and 2 TDs earlier in the season =or= Brees going up against the hapless Rams? I'm havinga real hard time with this one.
-
Thanks for the tips. Yeah, I'm leaning towards Brees. I'm just worried that he will be pulled in the 3rd quarter due to a blowout. Hopefully he gets his numbers before then.
-
As much as I am a fan of Warner, he is only playing with one arm, which is causing his throwing motion to be changed. I would go with Kitna this week. Although it is going to be a shootout in the desert. You may just want to flip a coin. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=301015

Mason and Colston. Ocho Cinco could be worthless this week or he will go off for 180 and 2 TDs. I think its too volatile to play with. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=301015

I agree. Holmes needs to be in there. Fitz is going against Detroit who has given up a lot of yards and TDs through the air. If you WR and RB points are similar I would lean Fitz because I see that game being a shootout. Here's mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=301015

My running backs are Addai, Edge, Barber, and Jones. I'm currently starting Addai and Barber this week, but am thinking of starting Jones over Addai due to the fact of what Ronnie Brown did last week against Buffalo.
-
Jordan and Jones. Look what Brown did last week.
-
I would go with Curry. Jennings is playing a tough defense. However, Roddy would be a good call here too.

I think I have a very strong team. I believe it is using Yahoo's scoring. 6 pts for all TDs, etc. QB - Drew Brees RB - LT2 RB - Tatum Bell WR - Reggie Wayne WR - Roy Williams WR - Mark Clayton TE - Vernon Davis K - Shayne Graham D - Chicago Reserves Alex Smith Bernard Berrian Bryant Johnson Jerious Norwood Michael Turner Arizona
-
S. Moss or Hines Ward - yardage/TD only - NO ppr
stewdog1 replied to daverigs's topic in A Little Help!
I think Hines Ward is your best bet since they are playing Cleveland. Moss has Miami. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=285029 -
Team 2. Brees vs. Manning, Brees is going to win this season.

The thing about Boldin this season is Whisenhut is going to also use him out of the backfield and to throw some. So you have a possibility of not only getting WR yardage and TDs, but also running/passing yardage and TDs. I would go with Boldin. Besides reason above, he is an absolute stud and would be the face of the NFL if he didn't play in Arizona.
-
that is very nice team for a 12 team league.
-
Thanks guys, and/or gals.

Points for sacks, int, TO TD's, shutouts, and special teams TDs. Arizona plays on Monday against SF. Gore w/ his hand, and weak receivers. Minny plays ATL at home. I'm leaning towards Minnesota just based on the fact Harrington is starting and all the distractions ATL has had.
-
I would probably start Leinart almost every week out of those three. But especially on a Monday against SF.

Do you know why the ypa was so low? Because their RBs couldn't get the job done. So there were many dump passes to the WRs. I'm not giving the OL a pass by any means, but when you have so many injuries, there is no way for it to be good. Look at the best OL's in the game. Do you see any decimated by injuries and remaining good? Stats only tell a part of the story. I actually watched every single game last season. The RBs were just that bad. On 12/11 vs Washington, the Big Red were mounting a come back drive at the end of the 4th quarter. On 4th down with 5 yards to go, Arrington breaks it to the outside where a LB is near. He already has two yards and can easily get the yards for the 1st down, but he instead dives under the LB to avoid contact and is 2 yards short. I meant to say with the two games missed and being shut out in one game, if it wasn't for that he would have blown Fitz out of the water with his stats and probably close to the #1 WR last season.
-
So what do you call Marvin Harrison's 4 TDs in the 4th quarter and none of them where within 7 points? Even being on the other side of the winning equation, does it matter? Not in FF. I'm just messing with you, btw. The Cardinals had a top ten offense AND defense last season, but with very poor special teams giving the defense terrible field position almost all season. With all the additions, I highly doubt that is going to happen this year.
-
He had 10 TDs and you are talking about 3 of them. Many upon many WRs get that many in a year. Thanks for playing. My original point stands.
-
It's nice to have someone in here who doesn't know what they are talking about. As for the OL: I would wager to say that the poor running game hinged more on poor RBs. Arrington was afraid of getting hit, Shipp was coming off a gruesome leg injury. I don't completely accept the poor line argument basically because there is no way to have a #1 passing team w/out a line. But to help you guys in that argument, the OL was devastated by injuries all season long. When you are forced to start guys off the street and still be the #1 passing offense, that says something. Warner was injured twice last season. The first was his groin when he was rolling out and got his foot stuck in the grass. The second was a defender rolling up his knee (what happens to many QBs in the league). The line will be better this season if only for the fact that Steve Loney is the OL coach. They actually have a real bonafied coach this season. As for Fitz and Boldin. They are both studs, but remember that even though Boldin had 1 less catch and 7 less yards, Boldin missed two games and was SHUT OUT in one game. Can you imagine the stats he would have put up? Fitz is good, but Boldin is a god among men.
-
Ummm, Boldin is not a little guy. 6-1 220. Fitz is 6-3 221. Not a huge difference. Plus Boldin can run people over.
