as the guy above said 2 games against pitt, balt, cin. I don't even touch him in the first round at all.

If someone borrowed your car and you knew they drank and then they crashed your car while drinking are you responsible? you really want to compare that with children getting rapped by a predator over at least two decades and not do everything in your power to prevent this and even worse turn a blind eye to it and than lie about it really man you really want to compare the two ?
-
You all can buy into what you want. No QB, No Marshall, And every year he gets hurt. He can't and never will be able to carry a team. Not worthy to touch in the first three rounds of any draft

if Tolbert signed with CAR, what would Stewart be worth in trade?
Road_Cats replied to famousb's topic in FFToday Board
do they really need to sign another rb? Especially in hopes of trading what they have? They should have went after another WR in FA to compliment if not surpass smith as the #1 reciever. I feel they are real close of being explosive on offense and a solid one if not real good #2 would have gotten it done. Use draft picks on def. -
Garcon is a receiver who caught less than 60 percent of the passes thrown his way. Even with Manning throw to him. Now he goes to a team with QB that never tossed a ball in the NFL. An offense he does not know both will be in first year. He could not pass the offer cause even Garcon knows as usual the Redskins over payed for another free agent. This reeks as ######. Hell Garcon was barely worth drafting as Manning as his QB. I know I spelled stuff wrong so save it.

In all fairness Farve did help minnesota make the Championship game the following year. The play calling was questionable to down right pathetic. They look bad cause of him not in spite of.

The 49ers are clearly the "One and done" playoff team this year...
Road_Cats replied to RoadLizard's topic in FFToday Board
At least 4 teams will be one and done. My pick is Houston -
I am afraid you are mistaken Emmitt held out dallas lost the first two games of the season the second one being a close loss buffalo and than they signed him and dallas went on to win the super bowl. i believe the only 0-2 team to do so. With all that being said I usually shy away from anyone holding out late into the preseaon.

Is Emmitt Smith truly a top 10 ever Running back?
Road_Cats replied to The Moz's topic in FFToday Board
what makes E. Smith a one of the greatest was that he was one of the greatest to play. We can say what we want and who he ran behind and everything. But I think most forget well past his prime in Arizona he rushed for over 1,000 yards and posted 10 plus TD in the twilight of his career. To my knowledge no RB since him has rushed for a 1000 plus and 10 in arizona. I feel with that one single year in Arizona should say that yes even if he played in Detroit he would still be considered. Barry quit on his team. -
So Hypothetically speaking every team is just one player away
-
New England should sign him
-
Steve Smith is nice but the past 10 years Reggie Wayne has out performed and been more consistant he should be 5 at least.
-
Funny and i may not be totally sold on it. But if the Titans make the playoffs and win one game Vince Young should be MVP. No one this season has turned a team around. He may not be fully responsible for it but hey we blamed the previous qb for the short commings. Plus what else did they change other than QB
-
In your above aurgument in another post with team QB. You argues that the nfl dont take the lost if they lose their qb, the back up comes in and you get the stats. Now in this statement your solution is not to reward points for players out of their normal position. But yet in the nfl they credit a rb for throwing recieving return hell even fumble recovery for a td. But in fantasy you think it ought not be like that. Your as man of convienence. Ever thought of being a politician?

I love these responses to way it in happens in the real NFL. First and foremost it fantasy football so the deal is not to mimic the nfl you can if you want its fantasy football. And yes usually when a nfl team loses there starting QB they usually take a loss, sometimes they win just like fantasy football you can lose a player at any postion any week and still win. Just like the real nfl vs fantasy depending on how you drafted and how your depth is you can overcome this injury next week with your back up. There is real no wrong way to play fantasy football because its fantasy football. Just do me a favor and try not to justify why your league decided why to do something just to say its the way it is in the nfl. Just say thats the way we do things in your league. It may not be the most popular way of doing things or acceptable among the masses. But as I stated your argument is weak.

Don't believe everything you read. Gates healthy, nothing has changed offensivly on his team. Now Witten lost TO which I believe is going to hurt more than help. More focus can be put on shutting down Witten. Honestly I would take J.Carlson a few rounds later in this situation I would have taken and came back after a differant TE.
-
personally I think you dropped the ball with your first pick. Rest of the team seems average with little upside at any position.
-
Steve Slaton, You are crazy if you pass on him to take Jackson
-
I don't understand every year same thing. He had one huge year and than I will say average. Same with gore the love kills me but lets not lose focus. Take a look at this article and the scoring format. If I have to explain why he should not even be drafted in the first round with much better options out there well than there is not much more to talk about. Let this guy be someone elses headache. Also I know this is a dynasty thing but it shows consistancy. SJ only Twice has finished in the top 12 in RB since he has been in the league. And you all talk about him being an option at 5th overall? crazy. http://fftoday.com/articles/kilroy/09_dynasty_rbs.htm

I personally think that your choice of WR blow. Personally I would go Moss, RB, Jennings, Gates Rodgers in your theory . Steve smith had one year worth taking 2 nd round
-
Its not the Denver Defense they suck and have been for at least 3 to 4 years . They can't stop the run period.
-
Don't believe the hype. Marshall unhappy, traded there franchise QB, ###### defense.. now everyone says this bolds well for Orton's numbers but there is no certiany in that. A head coach who is way over his head < yes if you get to speculate on Orton just cause he is in Denver than I can speculate about the HC for same reason> By mid season this becomes the train wreck we all know its going to be. I cannot believe he is even in the top 16 making him a starter in any league by week starter at best.

St. Louis San Fran Arizona Detroit 2x Green Bay 2x Thats almost half a season of reliable production if not some beast weeks. Throw in the fact he will get looks in the passing game to boot. He is one a few top ten pciks that I would consider a lock. When does improving your QB situation make it worse for the rb ?

How important is Strength of Schedule to Fantasy Football Sucess?
Road_Cats replied to HTH's topic in FFToday Board
Detroit St Louis Arizona Clevland Cinn Indianapolis Denver Kansas City Oak These are the bottom 15 in Run Defense this year. No particular order. But you can pencil it in and revisit. -
Broncos will win 6 games or less They are the worse team in the division Orton does suck No Defense , they can't tackle or shed a block. He has done nothing but come in and make a mess of things. Its going to get alot worse before it gets better. On the bright side They will have a good draft pick next year and prolly waste it on a potential franchise QB like the one they gave away this season.
