Funniest things you've ever read on FFT Mange Board.
DBZFan2K replied to edjr's topic in FFToday Board
Not from the main board, but the story from jaxjag or nafxaj whoever it was, about spying on his boss at work. -
LOL That reminds me of a link I saw: http://100percentinjuryrate.blogspot.com/2...f-athletes.html Surprised at some of the names listed. Calvin Murphy has 14 illegitimate kids with 9 women.

The "OFFICIAL" Red Sox/Rockies World Series Thread

I think the idea was to have Wake pitch Game 2, but that would screw with the rotation. Better to leave Beckett and Schilling back-to-back. Also 7 to 1! -

There are two schools of thought here. One is that Brady is overdue for an MVP award, taking a backseat to others with better stats in previous years despite doing more with less around him on offense. We are now seeing what he is capable of statistically with a superior supporting cast at wide receiver. The other is that Moss himself changes the dynamic of the offense so incredibly that it's hard to ignore. He is so frighteningly good that he gets a lot of attention from opposing defenses, which opens up opportunities for the other targets to make plays. That, and Moss catches everything thrown his way, no matter how good or bad the pass is. Either guy would be deserving, and I think they should share co-MVP if they continue at the pace they're at now.

For Super Bowl XXXVI, it was a foregone conclusion to everyone outside the New England area that the Rams were going to stroll out of New Orleans with the Lombardi trophy. Anything can happen, that's why you watch. The Cowboys made the Patriots bleed their own blood for a brief while two weeks ago, shows that they're mortal and it is possible to get to them. Same goes for the Colts. I do think it's likely you will see one of those two in the SB representing the AFC, but it's not a guarantee that either of them will end up winning.

Some perpective on next weeks NE/Indy game...
DBZFan2K replied to Celticspride's topic in FFToday Board
I agree with everything except the last sentence. Caldwell wasn't alone in the collapse. He didn't squander a 17-point lead by himself. The Patriots linebackers did nothing to stop the Colts' running attack. Dillon and Maroney failed to establish a running game to keep the clock ticking. Brady and Brown had miscommunication in what could've been a game-clinching first down on their second-to-last possession of the game. Brady forced a throw into coverage and got picked off to end the game. You can't point this one out to just one person. The Patriots had a rare collapse, combined with a hell of a comeback effort on Indy's part and a few breaks here and there, which are necessary in games of this caliber. One thing I will say, is that Brady is much better equipped this time around to get the offense moving. He was looking for Caldwell, Gaffney, and Brown to get open. Now he's looking at Moss, Welker, Stallworth, and Gaffney. That's a huge difference. I could see why people think this year's Colts are better than last year's Colts. But there is no question this year's Patriots are much improved over their 2006 version. They are playing at a whole different level. -

I had this discussion with someone. Basically I concluded that if you wanted the Hanley/Sanchez part of the deal if you were starting a franchise from scratch, and you wanted the Beckett/Lowell part of the deal if you were gearing for a championship run. This was a trade I loved at the time it happened, hated by the time Anibal Sanchez had his no-hitter, and loved again after the first couple of months of this season. Look at it this way: if the Red Sox had a chance to reverse the trade, chances are they wouldn't. Beckett has been a true ace, and the Sox need to try to re-sign Lowell.

Dolphins purchased audio of Brady calling audibles and used that to beat the Pats last year. When they did it? It's just football! Care for another tissue?

The rallying cry from all the haters, second-most used word after "cheat". Secretly praying that the "system QB" goes down to a season-ending injury, or something of that nature. So many people ... media, fans, players, coaches, were giddy with delight when the Pats got busted with the camera in Week 1. Well, the Pats are now dishing out that karma in spades. You can say cheat this or karma that, but chances are if you're rooting against the Patriots this season you're not going to like what you see when you look at the final score.

After being proven WRONG in the Geek Homers league, you probably want to hold off on the choke talk, unless crow is your favorite dish.

The Vikings defense is for real, and Adrian Peterson is one of the best young running backs in the NFL. I wouldn't sell them short, even if their quarterback situation is as awful as it gets.

Despite how things are looking today, I still think the Cowboys are going to roll through the NFC to the Super Bowl. Nobody else stands out.
