The Patriots gave them that chance by running it with their worst RB repeatedly into Dallas' defense. If the Pats really wanted to stick it to the Cowboys, they could've had Brady pass it to one of his receivers for a TD on that final drive instead of running 4 consecutive runnings plays. And I can promise you it wouldn't have taken them a minute and a half and 4 downs to do it. Kudos to Kyle Eckel, who served in the Navy and got his first career TD in 3 years as a professional football player. That really shouldn't bother anybody and if it does then stop being a pussy. quoted for truth I think on this board a lot of the frequent members are sick of seeing Pats fans have reason to gloat week after week (jealousy, whether they admit to it or not). As a fan all you get is bragging rights and Pats fans have had it in bunches in the Brady/Belichick era. Should they lose a game, any game, those same members are going to throw a parade that day. In any case, getting a perfect season isn't important, what is important is securing HFA and being in the best position to get to the Super Bowl.

I was never a fan of Bowa. His fits of anger were entertaining but he never struck me as a good manager. I wasn't aware of the players liking Manuel. I guess that with him getting them to the playoffs earned him a "bonus". Though I still think he's not a lock to last beyond 2008 if the Phillies don't live up to expectations. But you guys would have a better grasp on the situation than I would, so maybe I'm wrong.
