  1. Fock fantasy football in general. The game is changing for the WORSE with no end in sight. There are about 20 total players that are truly reliable and startable each week. The rest are as random as cloud formations. Used to be that most NFL teams had:

    1) A QB

    2) ONE good RB

    3) 1-2 startable WRs

    4) 1 startable TE

And that was that. No commitees, less injuries, talent stayed on the same team for years and years, and there were fewer teams to spread the talent around to. Most of the players could be banked on week in, week out. Now? OMG...its hilarious how guys just blow up out of nowhere and then disappear for 6 weeks. Or, look at the RB situation in NE...Ridley goes off for two scores but might not get a carry next week. Joe Fauria scored 3 times yesterday.... who the FOCK is he? He'll get signed and started next week and wont catch a pass. Its so unreliable and random thats its totally reliable and NOT random.

Now? Fock....sorry to burst the bubbles of the "I win a lot so I must be good at this" crowd but you are simply "hitting" your bets more often than other guys. Or, you play in a dynatsy league and were able to keep that stud-filled team for many years.

Used to be about 50% luck / 50% research and prep. Now, its CLEARLY about 95% pure, unadulterated luck and 5% waiver wire claim success.

Might have to try fantasy hockey or golf....maybe fantasy MMA fighting? :D

It seems like I'm always chasing last week's points every week.

  2. I want to complain about Alshon Jeffries tonight but I can't. I have him going in a ppr league and he put up a whopping 5.3 (or real close) tonight. He had several chances tonight for some big plays. That's about all I can ask for - chances, and he had his share.

It would've been nice if Cutler and Jeffrey had connected on that long pass in the 3rd (could've been a TD).

I started Cutler and can't really complain about the 27 points. But he had 21 at the half and I had a reasonable expectation that 30 was easily within reach (I'm playing against the Rodgers team).

  3.

No focking doubt. Truly one of the best reasons to read the F.U. threads.

"Oh.......................just a pretty tree over in the corner; Now jam it up your focking azz Dwayne Bowe."

    ROFL

    Oh, and FU to Fitz!

  4. Had the Colts last week and played CLEV tonight. Streaming is the only way to go, I had choices from Browns, Rams or Falcons... I would have taken any of them.

Same here but I especially wanted the Browns (due to the 'chip on the shoulder' they developed when it was being said that were saying that they were going to tank the season (after the T-Rich trade)).

Their two TDs helped somewhat ease the pain of losing Hoyer in the first quarter

  5. I just can't live with myself owning Nate Washington who's put together a couple nice games

    +1.

As soon as I pick him up and insert him into the starting lineup, it's back to the the 6-58-0 stat line

  6. I have been struggling with this for days. I have been riding Denver's D for weeks and, due to the hype, picked up Detroit's for this weekend. Every bone in my body tells me not to play them AT Arizona. I just can't seem to buy into them becoming a good unit just because the Cardinals suck so bad. At least my opponent can't play them against me as they blow up on my bench.

I'm glad I don't have them because I'd have them in the starting lineup and be thinking the same thing (along with "I can't believe I'm trusting the Detroit DS/T in the semis").

  7. I beat the Romo owner in our fantasy bowl last year for the reason mentioned above.

Romo was a very risky play that week anyway because of the likelihood of it being a meaningless game for Dallas (which it was). Banging his hand on a helmet was the only excuse they needed to pull him.

I was aware of the risk and remember thinking that (see bold entry in quote) as it happened and cursing Jerry Jones immediately thereafter.

And on an unrelated note, I also lost AP to the bad knee injury in the early games

  8. Romo was my QB in the Week 16 championship last year.

In that game, he injured his hand on the helmet of a Philly defender and left the game during the opening series.

So my worst nightmare was realized - A big fat ZERO from my QB position in the championship game (which I of course lost).
