  1. They have been trying to make him the #1 RB since he got to Chi-town, but he hasn't shown he can handle it. I think he needs to prove himself as a number 1 back first. Gore and Addai, both proved they could handle the load their first year on the job and Moroney was a backup who looked good as a rookie behind Dillon.

  2. You will definitely need a replacement for him. If you do not get one by draft time DO NOT use the site's rankings, they usually suck. Take a consensus of all owners during the draft. At least that way you will have a chance of getting someone to take the team after the draft. We have had owners not show up at times for the draft and this worked much better than the site's recommendations. You just have to weigh the suggestions from the owner picking right after him, but my league is all friends and are good about rating the players honestly.

  3. My league does not have position requirements, but we do limit it to no more than 5 players at any one position. This gives you enough for your starters and backups as well as a sleeper or fill-in player, but limits the "hoarding" aspect.

  4. I've been running my league for 13 years and have modified the format several times, but it's been pretty stable for the last 8 years. Each team keeps 2 players from the previous year. We draft 10 teams, 16 rounds, but have a limit of 5 players at a given position, so no one can hoard RB's. I usually graft 5 RB's, 5 WR's, 3 QB's, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 D. Sometimes I will draft 2 TE and 2 QB, but I always max out at RB and WR. The only IR rule we have is that the player going on IR MUST be on the NFL IR and of "keeper" status, so 16 rounds is necessary.

  7. It's true I don't respond to daily trade offers that would have me send David Boston to Bigtuna for 16th and 17th round picks. Sorry, but I don't have the time. Especially in March!

Thanks for the vote of confidence GiantsRule. I do not routinely check football sites every 10 minutes in the middle of March, but I do try to gat back to everyone that sends me an offer. Best way to get a quick response is email me (bjoyce68@yahoo.com).
