  1. yeah, i guess. it's just strange that people seem to think haley's doing something wrong. that's a hard argument to make at 4-2

They are in the same boat as clowns bitching at a 5-2 Jeff Fisher for not giving CJ enough carries. If I was coaching KC, I'd feel much more confident with TJ as my main back. The team record proves it

  2. Thanks for the great posts fellas...We have a 10 transaction limit for two reasons. The first is to put a premium on the draft. The second is to keep people from making 50+ plus moves per year playing match-ups and such. We do not charge for moves. I had a good draft but needed to supplement a few areas...Here are my moves.

Torain, Ryan RB WAS - Added

Portis, Clinton RB WAS - Dropped

Keller, Dustin TE NYJ - Added

Harrison, Jerome RB CLE - Dropped

Clayton, Mark WR STL - Added

Jones, Felix RB DAL - Dropped

Roethlisberger, Ben QB PIT - Added

Kolb, Kevin QB PHI - Dropped

Bradshaw, Ahmad RB NYG - Traded from CheezHeadz

Orton, Kyle QB DEN - Added

Bush, Michael RB OAK - Dropped

Harrison, Jerome RB CLE - Traded from Prime Time Boyz

I needed RB help and drank the Harrison Kool-Aid and had to rectify that later. I was a Kolb owner with no back-up so I added Orton and grabbed Big Ben as well. My WR are strong with Megatron, Roddy and R Moss. This is a 10 team standard league, no PPR and WR/TE combined. I think you guys are telling me to make the moves. I have a couple of weeks to ponder but Kenny Britt is available for Clayton so we will see.

What the point of putting a premium on the draft? The regular season player moves and trades should be just as important. The more action the better. Taking a zero is a cardinal sin in fantasy. Almost bad...not charging for player moves and having a limit on the number of moves.

  3. The new uniforms would be great if they'd stop going all blue. Gray pants as the norm with white paints on occasion at home. Blue pants and whites tops on the road. To bad the league didnt allow the hawks to have different home and away helmets like they originally wanted with the new uniforms.

  4. I personally think that it is STUPID to run a fantasy league without kickers.

Very often it is the kicker that makes the points difference.

It does take skill to be a kicker especially for those long FGs.

Long live the kicker. Would you have a real FB game without kickers? NO..NO You would not.

Why would you remove kickers from the fantasy game then?

Still I would not draft kickers until the last 2 rounds but I am for keeping the kickers.

This last sentence makes your entire point complete rubbish. Why should something you draft in the last two rounds often be the point difference.

  5. Injured or not, I was starting Moss this week against Revis. The guy skipped training camp. Imaging how sore he was after just coming into camp and playing a whole game. Not surprised he ended up injured. It takes several weeks to get into season shape.

  6. We declare the holdover at the draft. It's a twenty year league. Come on, you are keeping just a single player. Drafting a fantasy team is not brain surgery.

But of your three choices I like #3 as long as the player not used is thrown back into the draft pool.

  7. Unless there are major injury issues, there will be no top RB in Seattle. This will be a three headed monster with Forsett, Washington, and White (I think JJ gets cut).

I disagree, there will be a back that will be labled the top RB, just not fantasy-wise. Carroll give a guy the oppurtunity to get on role and if he continues to produce he keeps the playing time. But for fantasy it will be a typical RBBC. But that is what I said in the last post so I am not sure why you quoted me and reworded my point.

  8. What's the skinny on Justin Forsett? Does he have a chance to emerge as the 'hawks top RB?

That will be a true test of Carroll’s always compete philosophy. Right now it looks like it’s an up hill battle for Forsett but if he turns out to be the best talent he should get the playing time. So I'd say it’s all up to forsett. For fantasy just plan on RBBC from this team. It was his MO with SC running backs.

  9. McGahee over Bradshaw = tough luck.

McGahee over Ronnie Brown = you got what you deserved.

Yeah I didnt start mcgahee in the first 3 weeks and didnt want to miss out on anymore touchdowns. (we're a big td league) Besides where was that great Jets d on Monday night? This week I am hoping to make the right call with Bradshaw over mcgahee with brown on a bye.

  10. I will never understand why a third party team not associated with a trade feels the need to whine and complain. Both teams involved agreed to the trade so it is obvious they both feel good about it. It is not the business of other teams not involved and they should stfu. Trade Vetos only allow owners to stop other teams from improving their starting lineups and the whiny veto guys veto trades so them can hamper the competition.

Agreed, as long as there is no collusion it should be allowed. If a majority of owners feel its collusion, ban them both for life.
