    Lee Suggs Trade is Off

same here i was hoping that he could actually stay healthy for the year but not really putting high hopes on it i tdont think the new brain trust will do anything stupid at all, look at how they handles the draft, they know what they need to do in order to build a competitive team and they will do it apparantly Brown isnt leaving Tennessee, that doesn't leave a whole lot of options i know they wont invest a high pick for anyone.... m,aybe they can find someone that is 3rd-4th string that just hasn't gotten the chance they need id love to see someone like Musa Smith or someone lured out with a cheap trade like the Suggs deal

    Greenway Injury

yeah... nice argument there a KR/PR player actually needs to have some skills, you cant just plug any old player in there and have the same results as well, the normal ammount of returns players get is typically very low Steve Smith only had 24 returns all season including a few KOs as well as PRs on average a team kicks off what, 4-5 times a game.... likely more you can throw in any old LB and have him run down the field for those KOs and do the same thing, hell put a back-up S in there as well and you get the same result tell me, what is so special about running down field and smashing into a guy in the wedge that Greenway becomes so much better than his backup? basically they just spent what, 5 mil on a guy to break up a wedge.... doesnt sound too smart to me

    Greenway Injury

not that im a Vikes fan but yes 95% of all KO coverage teams are reserve players that barely see the field elswhere OK, so Greenway is quick for a LB..... how is that justification for putting him in on ST? think of the impact this has on the defense now, instead of using his quickness there where it is much more useful they have to plug in some 2nd string guy that isn't as well rounded and now becomes a liability in the defense is it worth losing your 1st draft pick to slightly improve your coverage unit? that same LB that now is a hole on your D could have easily done the exact same thing for the KO unit

    dom davis status

just a hunch here but they would likely go with Antowain Smith if DD couldn't go he has been in the league for a while and knows the position, he can block, has good size and while he isnt a starter he is good for a fill in im not buying Lundy yet, a lot of rookies have great camps and running against 3rd string is a lot different than starting i first thought Morency would be given the shot but he seems to have fallen quite out of favor there now how did he ever hurt his knee to begin with? unless someone clubbed him with a hammer or something this is just sad to be still injured, didn't this happen like 3rd or 4th week last year?

    Greenway Injury

completely wrong you dont see Sims out there handling KOs do you? how about AJ Hawk, Manny Lawson, Bobby Carpenter? i dont see them stepping on the field for KOs LATE draft picks that have to go out there to make the team handle that stuff..... not a high pick he was selected that high because he is a talented LB, not because he can cover kicks

    Arizona's Receivers

the funny thing is, Warner was worse in his games than these guys 11 TDs in 10 games..... i'm more worried about Warner playing than i am anyone else at QB i think Leinart is missing a golden opportunity here by staying out of camp he will not be ready this year at all, even if he 'was' the most NFL ready QB you dont sit out of camp and come in playing at a high level, id be surprised if he even comes in as the #2 QB this year i think too much faith is being put in this whole offense again.... i fell for the hype last year, but not this year the OL still has issues which will make Edge less than his spectacular self and Warner WILL get injured again

Why the Lee Suggs deal was good for the Jets

they can move from a RBBC to a full time back with this trade i dont see how that is a bad thing EVERYONE touts Suggs every year it seems now people think he cant even break into a roster of players that are back-ups or part timers at best he now goes to the top of the depth chart and barring Martin coming back he will stay there IF he can stay healthy the job is his for the year and this could potentially alleviate a headache next year if he isnt the answer, chances are they finish pretty poorly and are in a great spot to land a top back through the draft, if he stays healthy he has the talent to start next year allowing the team to grab another back through FA or let them focus elsewhere with their top pick and draft a 2nd or 3rd round RB

    New Monday Night Cast

i actually like these guys sure it is a bit dull but: 1) they actually get the names right 2) they dont spout random nonsense that nobody cares about 3) not every third sentence begins "I'll tell you something...." or "This is what I love about....." i'll take a bit of dull commentating if it is intelligent and correct

    bring in walter

really though i know this is only preseason but going 1-3 and 1-6 is horrible the OL doesnt seem to be blocking all that well either.....

    Kornheiser Keeping Theissman in Check

although they are a little bit dull and it doesnt make for the most exciting game i like it Tirico does a very good job of the CC Tony has a good enough perspective as well that he actually makes insightful comments Theismann... wish someone else came in to make a whole new team at least every 2 seconds you dont hear "I tell you what....(random crap)" and they actually say the right players name i guess we all have to live through "This is whats so great about so-and-so....(random crap)" for a while still

    lee suggs to the jets

i love the contrasting opinons here one is that Suggs will take carries away from Droughns the second is that Suggs sucks so bad he wont unseat Houston or Blaylock

    lee suggs to the jets

good trade as Strait has never breached the line-up yet, very limited role as a nickel sub... Dyson-Barret-Miller will be the main 3 CBs so he was very expendable Suggs has some skills, maybe he can actually stay healthy this year.... i wouldnt underestimate him but certianly im not putting a huge deal of faith in him either something to watch for in preseason, the OL should be quite improved although still nothing spectacular, he should become the full time starter as well so that at least has some value attatched

    Make or break players...

Matt Jones - possible stud in the 8thish round(too lazy to check ADP updates... i have 11 but thats way too old) Fred Taylor/Ahman Green - neither is going early but a healthy season could put these guys as huge contributors as flex backs or injury subs David Carr - as mentioned above, Johnson could have a break out year, Carr will be throwing it to him so it only follows that Carr could have a breakout year himself, especially if the run game struggles Addai/Rhodes - who knows when the starter will be named but the possibilty exits that this wont be a RBBC Lavernues Coles - likely to be a very good starter in PPR leagues, likely be solid in non-PPR too though

    Zach Hilton or Enrie Conwell

how is having the TE the 3rd best receiver mean that he throws a lot to the TE? i dont feel like going through all of the teams but i would wager that there are only a handful of teams where the TE is 4th or below on the team for receiving

    Keeper League Rules

we use a timer pick in the round previous to when he is drafted, doesnt matter the team that drafted him FAs you give up your last round pick and go from there as for the trade situation, the owner has to designate one of the guys to give up a first for, the other is dropped unless they can trade to get another first to give up for the keeper designation

could musa smith do anything this year?

indeed that injury really derailed his early years id love to see the Jets try and throw out a feeler for him, he seems like a quite talented power back that could do great given a chance

    Zach Hilton or Enrie Conwell

2004 - 87 980/6 2005 - 66 757/6 not by much, Cooley missed the #5 spot held by Witten by only 2 points and his numbers dropped quite a bit with Bledsoe throwing to him this is also a case of using what you got name one pre-Brady post-Coates TE that did well name 1 good TE from the Bledsoe era Bills....

Strategy Check: Picking 10th in a 12 man PPR league

i like the idea of taking Fitz after the, picking late i think the value starts to catch up and surpass the RB value there instead of picking WR/RB(Foster) though i would reverse them Foster in the 3rd, i dont think for a 12 teamer this is such a reach and the WR value from 3.10 to 4.03 isnt such a drop off Williams your next pick, 5.10 is again a bit of a reach but this secures a handcuff to a legitimate injury worry(Larry was going in the 4th last year) and also solidifies what should be a productive backfield 6.03 then you compare the values for RB3 and WR3 depends on the run of RBs and what is left, if Deuce or Taylor are still around you go for it there, if not i think the value lies in WR Gore or Maroney i would drop, both may get limited opportunities and Gore isnt playing on a great team i think you almost have to reach a spot and yeah, you have to take a hit by grabbing both but you are better off handcuffing than not in this case

could musa smith do anything this year?

i think they have been working Anderson as a FB so far but i would expect him to be listed as the #2 RB should Lewis struggle or be injured Smith i dont see doing that much but i have been waiting for something out of him for a while now

    Zach Hilton or Enrie Conwell

Conwell Hilton is actually listed as the 3rd TE Bledsoe to Coates gave him that same distinction, i dont ever remember any TE Bledsoe has after that having a sloid season, people just don't ever seem to realize things like this
