    4th pick , skipping Tiki

Tiki in ppr... otherwise Portis then Rudi.... then those you list of those ones you posted i say SJax but he is 3rd on my list at that point, 4th for PPR

    joe horn, now

that whole offense sucked no Deuce, Brooks was lame.... the whole Katrina business took its toll, injuries to Horn thats why his numbers sucked, not his abilities i can see a solid season coming up, Brees knows how to use his best target and will definatley give him the ball as often as he can

    Jets Defense

Jets D will be improved, could hit 7 but should never be ranked 7 they have close to the same personel that was 12th overall 2 years ago but have arguably improved the weeknesses in that squad up and down for sure, id put them as a sleeper but thats about it, hardly worth drafting IMO but could be a WW steal

    Klopfenstein

'possibly' starting..... he seems like a good deal but i would rather an actual starter i think im going to take a look at one of these 2 guys this year, i have drafted Klop in one league, he seems to be ahead of Byrd and has had a goodnumber of catches through preseason so far im crossing my fingers that Linehan does for him what he did to Wiggins a few years back

    Any IDP specialists in here?

look for the undersized speed guys, most chunky fellas that are great real DTs arent good for fantasy purposes cause they wont get enough sacks Rod Coleman Kevin Williams Tommie Harris Shaun Rogers John Henderson Vince Wilfork i'd say those are the top guys that should get some good points for both tackles and sacks

Strategy this year for those picking last?

non-PPR can start 4 RBs with 3 Flex spots i have dabbled with WR-WR and then take a run on RBs but i have since changed thoughts Roy and Chambers are going to be solid 3/4 round WRs on that turn so i am going RB/RB for sure for the first turn, i will grab at least one of those WRs in 3 and check the value at RB i wouldnt be opposed to grabbing both but i plan on getting great depth at RB in my first 6 picks Rudi/Caddy JLew/Roy Mike Bell/TJones hey, i would love that team to start my draft since i can start 4 RBs i have 4 solid guys and a back up with IMO a top tier WR to go with QB, TE, K can all wait i build depth until then

    Vinatieri hurt

the odd thing about this is that Indy doesnt kick that many FGs anyways in the past 2 years combined Vandy has only attempted 50 FGs yet 120 XPs the Colts went out and spent all kinds of dough and FFB players throw a high pick at a guy that will kick mostly XPs makes no sense to me
  10. curious about this Duckett was being phased out in ATL sure but they were only looking for a 3rd WR chances are Lelie is not going to learn the offense and has never shown the talent to bump either White or Jenkins Portis isn't going to be out that long, this means that either Portis loses all GL carries or the injury is more serious than thought..... Portis loses Duckett stays the same(unless Portis misses extended time) Lelie still sucks

    Two very clear cut examples

the funny thing about Vick is that he isjust in a horrible system... look at his numbers from his first year starting 2936 - 16 - 8 777 - 8 the guy accounted for 3700+ yards and 24 TDs thats not a bad year at all, especially for someone who only previously started 2 games after Reeves left and the system changed everything went to hell, i cant ait to see Duckett go somewhere else and tear the hell out of defenses Reeves was really building a great offense there but got dismantled and kicked out IMO for no apparant reason.... one more year and they would have been great to watch o well

    Larry Johnson's Projected Stats

the number of carries wont be an issue i see them a bit high just because of that offense, it is just plain getting too old look at what has happened to the best OL from last year Roaf retired Welbourne retired Shields has a high ankle sprain(we all know what trouble these can be) Waters has a foot injury(not sure but he is still in a boot) i dont see that OL being near as effective add in the fact that Richardson is now out of town and i think you are in for a let down i can see them being good but not KC spectacular from years past IMO they have let this offense rot and they will enter the decline this year and i see them being top 10 picks for a few years before it ever gets fixed again... its a shame really defense has been such a focus in the offseason and drafts that the best OL/offense will pass everything by and go down the pisser

Who is this year's Steve Smith?

i think that if not this year it will be next the OL has been hell but it seems like they have actually worked on improving it this year for how bad it was, how many changes have they even made to it in the 3 years they have been around? not many albeit the effectiveness depends on 2 rookies they are at least headed in a better direction i like his chances improved OL to help Carr, finally a good #2 in Moulds.... the ground game will be a big question, if its bad this could spell doom for them but i have some faith in Kubiak's system and Morency/Smith/Lundy/Davis what about someone like Lee Evans? the guy has shown that he is talented, he might even have a QB that gets the ball to him consistently this year he was pretty huge down the stretch when Losman was throwing, it seems JP has pulled things together and could actually be effective this year hs got great speed, could really bust out huge with a consistent offense

How long to wait for IDP

if you only start 1 with a DST i wouldnt even think about this till te very end i have IDP players rated slightly above kickers and TEs, they have better value than TEs yet are about as predictable as kickers my league is 10 teams, 17 rounds rounds 13-15 is my IDP players, i may take one around 10-11 if the rest is picked through and one of the better guys falls, round 16 is my TE, round 17 is my kicker ive played IDP for 6 years now and i think with the exception of a select few, everyones starting IDPers from week 3 onwards has come from the WW with only 12, maximum of 24 picked here is no need to go after one in the 10th or so, there will be way too much value later that you are just wasting that pick Vilma, R Lewis, Barnett, Thomas, Edwards, Bulluck, Urlacher, S Taylor, A Wilson, R Williams, DJ Williams, Peterson, Fletcher, Spikes, Brooking, Quarles.... those are pretty much the only guys you should even consider here unless you get points for return yards, then McGee factors in basically, stay away from anything but S and LB... it wont be worth it unless your scoring is heavy on sacks and INTs..... and i mean heavy

    Draft Dynamix Software

not that i want to cause ###### here but, how does the DB/CC compare to the Draft Dominator on FBG? i just checked it out for fun tonight and although i doubt i will use it, it seemed alright i wasn't overly thrilled with the CC there, alright but nothing specail....free though

    Ben injures thumb

http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/PIT/9604796 something to note, although he played with a thumb injury last year it'd be a shame to have him go the way of Warner

Quick you are on the clock?

with the KRob news now Taylor might be the better call Wilson is getting pushed down the depth charts there and i wouldnt expect a lot of looks to him, Ward, Holmes, and Miller should take the majority and i dont expect many 3 WR sets from Pitt

    Raiders & the first pick?

id say the Raiders are the front runner right now Brooks has no clue, even Randy says every stride that is made in practice is erased once they get in the game and they are always at square one it seems like he isn't learning the offense and the OL is having issues as well only compounding that problem if anything i think this team is far away on both sides of the ball right now, i think there will definatley be a surprise contender for at least a top 3 pick as well it happens most years where a team just plummets im betting on Buffalo and Oakland to continue their decline and Kansas City to begin their plummet this year
  19. esoitl

And the winner of this years Kevin/Julius Jones

Sammy Morris will not bite that many carries from him to make an impact ive always had him near the top myself, the real winners IMO are Tiki and Edge although they seem to be losing some of their steam i dont think either will live up to the hype they have received so far

    WR2s vs lesser WR1s

Reggie Wayne and Houshmandzadeh are both being pimped out huge this year and i guess for good reasons they are both on teams with good offenses that like to throw the ball a lot and they get their share of looks i can never use a high pick on these guys though if you look at the stats from last year, guys like Coles, Muhammed, Mason, Branch, Rod Smith, and Antonio Bryant all had more looks go their way than did Wayne despite the fact that Wayne did out produce some of these guys, albeit the ones he didnt came from the worst offenses in the league, why do these guys command such higher picks? i can see people looking at upside but i think it goes the other way, Wayne is targetted less and therefore actually has less of an upside a marginal improvement for some of these WRs offense could easily vault them over Wayne's production, in most cases he only scored about 10-15 points more a question to those who pick these guys high, what is your reasoning for doing so like i said, i find it really hard to pick a 2nd WR for any team as long as there is a #1 still on the board and therefore these guys never land on my roster am i crazy to think it is a better play having a guy like Coles or Mason this year than Wayne?

    Drafting 7th in 10-Team League

i actually got Rudi then SJax on the turn i have both of those guys rated higher than most do obviously though since they are my #5 and #6 RBs i am very happy with that draft overall i went RB-RB-WR-WR grabbing Chambers and Roy Williams for 3 and 4, just a possibility of who will still be around for you

    Greenway Injury

have you ever watched those guys busting the wedge? they basically run full at someone and plow them out of the way... id say there is a bit more risk of injury than playing on D its not the fact that lower picks are expendable either, its that the position really doesnt require any talent to speak of Larry Izzo is a perfect example, the guy is a probowl wedge buster but have you ever seen the guy take the field on D? the guy is not a good LB and the only way he makes an NFL team is playing ST doing what Greenway was doing
  23. esoitl

    Greenway Injury

people argue this but all i can say is DONT PLAY YOUR ###### STARTERS the preseason is there to get the team on the same page and see what those players on the bubble can do, just let your starters sit Portis after his injury was claiming that they need to get rid of preseason games..... well no, the coach can just sit his starters instead and its the same deal let the other guys get reps in and see what they can do your starters dont get injured..... wow what a concept true but, who was the GB WR that is now out of the league after getting plowed into on a KR? he was supposed to be the #2 i think i still dont understand peoples arguments here.... this is a spot where anyone on that roster could have filled they chose to use a highly touted rookie who was supposed to be a big part of their defense to fill it how does that make sense?

    Guys with Picks #1-3

#2 of 10 LJ -> Brown -> Moss ->Roy Williams i wouldnt have minded grabbing Roy 3rd but Moss was still hanging around an fit in according to my draft board wish i had of now and passed on Moss seeing Brooks stink up the joint #2 of 10 SA -> Boldin -> Gates -> Driver passed on Holt and Moss for Boldin(both went the nextpicks) and Chambers followed my Gates Harrison was still on board and Fitz went the pick before Boldin

A FIRST Here On The Board!

just goes to show that all those people having great practices and such shouldn't be held so highly i know what you mean though, preseason doesn't mean a lot but this just looks terrible
