You guys who drafted Rice have every reason to be pissed. The talent is there, as always, but the desire and system to use him extensively is not. It's similar to the frustration being felt by Jamaal Charles owners.
-
I hope you guys without NFL Network realized NFL.com was streaming the game for free.

Dude, that video is over 2.5 years old. Give me a break. The wheels fell off Portis years ago.

First he says the dish for satellite TV looks "ghetto" - implying it's a product one might find in the lower class...then, in the same post, he berates DirecTV for not offering "reasonable" pricing - implying the cost is too high for the average person (or worse, someone from "the ghetto") to afford. So which is it? Is it ghetto (i.e. cheap junk; undesirable) or is it too expensive (i.e. something mommy won't buy for you; something you want)? He's just bitter and confused (and jealous). Pretty funny.

They see the same things we do...aging back, slowing down, in a timeshare, and facing possibly the worst damn playoff schedule in FF history.

It's a great network for die-hard fans of the game. Like right now, I'm watching a random bit on the show Total Access. Out of nowhere, they've got former Head Coach Brian Billick and former Defensive Back Rod Woodson breaking down Ed Reed's game. Beyond some little video clips, Billick and Woodson are on a small mock field talking shop. Talking about more than just Ed Reed. They're educating the viewer on the plays, the mindset, and everything else which the average football viewer ignores completely. They're speaking the language, as it's really communicated around the league. And this is no exception. Every day, every week, I learn something deep and insightful about the pro game, behind the scenes, under the hood; this type of coverage is not available anywhere else on television. So, yeah, if all you want is to watch a game on Sunday at the bar, it's not for you. This network is for us football nuts who can never get enough

I had NFL Network with Comcast Cable and now get it with DirecTV P.S. it's awesome.

This is what L.T. gets to face in the fantasy playoffs: Week 15: @ Pittsburgh - #1 vs. the run Week 16: @ Chicago - #3 vs. the run ...he'll be on the road, in likely bad, cold weather, against two of the Top 3 defenses against the run. Added to which he's slowing down, averaging 3.7 YPC since Week 4, and facing a 50/50 timeshare.
-
...and why again don't you already have NFL Network?

Yeah, but he's a smart Quarterback and very accurate on the short throws he's able to make. If the Dolphins are really serious about this, and it seems they are, his lack of arm strength won't matter. Time of possession, Wildcat, Dink-n-Dunk, and moving the chains. Could be good for this offense overall.
-
I agree. This can actually help Marshall if they deploy him on routes which suite Pennington's strengths. I'd love to see it. Brandon has that big frame and can easily be dangerous in a controlled, short-passing game. I look for Marshall's YAC to go up substantially and for the whole offense to run much smoother.
-
I picked up the Cardinals and let the Jets go. Arizona has a dream FF playoff matchup vs. Carolina and Dallas. P.S. as for Week 10, the Cardinals host the Seahawks who always suck on the road. Grab 'em if you still can.
-
Yeah, Pennington and "strong arm" don't belong in the same sentence, except to say he lacks one, but that's fine. Clearly the Henne-Marshall experiment has taken Miami away from its usual approach, left them reeling on offense, and they want to re-establish their old identity. I think it's a good move.
-
The Dolphins want more time of possession, more ball control, more Wildcat, and more dink-n-dunk. Pennington's the right man for the job.

I hear the whole consistency argument, but the Jaguars have prepared for this game over two weeks. If ever there was more preparation to buffer against a letdown from Garrard, this should be it. Further, he is facing not just a bad defense, but the worst defense in the NFL against the pass. And he's at home. So yes, I know he's failed to deliver in some good matchups, but fool's gold or not there's no way I can pass up all these conditions when selecting a BYE week replacement.
-
With Drew Brees on a BYE this week, I'm glad to have Garrard, at home, facing the NFL's worst pass defense.

The Jets DST has got to be the most overrated piece of crap in recent memory. In Yahoo standard scoring, they are ranked a pathetic 19th in fantasy points yet they are owned by 96% of the population. What the hell is that? Projected high, drafted high, they don't even belong on a roster given their meager production.

Don't be so sure. New England won't be able to run straight up, making Woodhead on screens and draws all that more valuable.

Anyone else thinking of selling high on Hillis
mambokings replied to Legendary's topic in FFToday Board
Oh yeah, considering your stable of RBs. It could be Tebow Time soon and Manning is a huge upgrade over Orton anyway. -
LMAO! He's been the OC with Romo for over 3 years! What else are you expecting to see?

LOL

The only way you "sell high" on Hillis is if you're actually high when you agree to sell. -
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Portis took contact Monday and now has swelling in his injured groin.
