Not only did he practice, but he did so at full speed. The BYE week came at the perfect time.
-
It's made even dumber by the fact that "Ocho Cinco" translates to "Eight" "Five"...not "eighty-five" For example, in Chad Johnson's dumb head, Tom Brady wears number "One" "Two" - not "Twelve"

Hey, it's Kansas Sh!tty we're talking about; those bums haven't sniffed a Super Bowl in 40 focking years. It's no surprise; they deserve Todd Haley.

Why is the JETS DST owned in fantasy football?
mambokings replied to mambokings's topic in FFToday Board
Yuck. In that scoring format, the Jets suck even more (21st overall) -
Agreed; I certainly wouldn't pick him up. Like C.J. Spiller, he's not even worth a roster spot.
-
He's serviceable for the job and well liked by his players, but on a "pound for pound" basis, including coaching IQ, Xs and Os, he's really unspectacular and would be a miserable failure somewhere else. He benefits from great talent on the field and a great staff to cover up his coaching weaknesses.

In other breaking news, the Earth revolves around the Sun.

Seriously, it's only Monday and the Chargers have a BYE next week. There is no urgency for San Diego to update his status. Besides, does it really matter? If Ryan Mathews has been anywhere but your bench this season you've got much bigger problems to worry about.

Jets DST was ranked #1 by virtually every fantasy site. I'm dumping to the waiver wire this week.

It's all part of Haley's master plan for a "balanced rushing attack"...in this case, that means giving Jones twice as many carries in the hope he can balance his rushing total with what Charles gets in half the touches. Insane? Yes, but welcome to the twisted mind of one of the NFL's most intense control freaks.

I'm about to drop the Jets for 'em
-
Inside the coaches meeting, Monday morning: "Todd, we have a running back averaging 5.3 yards per carry vs. one averaging 1.68 yards per carry." "Ok, in order to balance our rushing attack we need to double the carries of the guy who sucks ass."
-
Thomas Jones gets the rock again for his 12th carry - and still no gain (what a shocker!) Officially, he's now got 11 carries for a massive 8 yards...that's called riding the hot hand
-
So far, vs. the Raiders: Thomas Jones: 10 carries, 8 yards (with a long of 7 yards) - that means he's had 9 carries for a total of 1 focking yard P.S. he just had another carry for zero gain, but it was called off due to a Raiders defensive penalty...that would have made it 11 carries for 8 yards

Jim Brown was a machine. Played 9 seasons without missing a game. Led the NFL in rushing 8 years and made the Pro Bowl every single year he was in the league (capturing NFL-MVP three times). Averaged over 100 yards per game for his career (only back in history to make that claim). For his career, averaged 5.2 yards per carry. All the while every defense in the league focused on trying to stop him in a period when football wasn't as wide open as it is now. The guy was impossible to bring down, set his records in much shorter seasons than we have now, and didn't play beyond the age of 29. Your boys AP and CJ have their work cut out for them. "Make sure when anyone tackles you he remembers how much it hurts" - Jim Brown

Team Management Questions Belong On The "A Little Help" board. P.S. I'm so tired, I first thought it read Big Ben or Macho Schaub

Hasselbeck Out - Should Giants D be #1 ranked?

I was a Dave Krieg fan. I mentioned his name in the hopes some kids would Google it and stumble upon a little Seahawks history. -
Hasselbeck Out - Should Giants D be #1 ranked?

Charlie Whitehurst is the new Dave Krieg! -
Vincent Jackson participated in Chargers practice Wednesday for the first time since last season. Jackson, still on the Roster Exempt list, made it look easy on the practice field, separating himself from other Chargers pass catchers during the workout with his acceleration. He made a half-dozen moves/catches that no other presently healthy Chargers receiver could. Until he's eligible to return Week 12, V-Jax will simulate opposing receivers on the Chargers' scout team. He's mimicking No. 1 wideout Andre Johnson this week, giving the Chargers defense a rare opportunity to go against a scout team player who is arguably as good as the real thing. ~ San Diego Tribune
-
Why is he delusional? Air Rivers is not the issue and V-Jax is completely healthy (which is more than we can say for San Diego's other receivers).
-
Fred Taylor might spell Benjarvus Green-Ellis, but he's not a threat to steal touches from Danny Woodhead.
-
Agreed. Don't be noobish. The musty, abandoned feel of this wesbite is its charm.
-
I picked him (back) up after drafting him as a low risk/high reward possibility then dropping him at some point when it was looking as if he wouldn't get back on the field this year. Now the Chargers are welcoming him with open arms, the guy is completely healthy, practicing, looking good, and has a great matchup in just a few weeks. He'll be full speed, with lots of practice under his belt, coming back just in time for the Colts game which should be a Manning/Rivers shootout.
-
I was slow to like Woodhead, but his steady double-digit points and flexible RB/WR designation has made him a favorite of mine. Randy Moss is better in name only and I'm not interested in selling t-shirts. Woodhead all the way.
