If the other owner is savvy, I have a hard time believing he will accept this trade. Like the other poster said, MJD has the most upside in this trade. Norwood has done nothing to supplant Dunn and JJ is losing carries by the minute to MBIII. If you can pull the trigger, more power to you.

I'm reading that Griese's emergence as the starter is actually a bad thing for Bernard Berrian. At this point, anything less than what he is getting is worth nothing more than the WW. Bowe, even in that rickety KC offense, has been targeted a lot and more importantly targeted in the end zone. I believe he was a penalty call from a 2nd receiving TD two weeks ago and of course added one this week. Is he a better option going forward? Is Derrick Mason? As always, leave a link and I will return the favor...

I like Walker. Berrian could be good against Detroit, especially with Griese replacing Grossman, but as the vertical threat folks are saying Griese will actually HURT Berrian's numbers (he doesn't have the arm strength like Rexy).

For those wondering about Mr. Leonard...

I'm just going to assume that you are an Alabama fan. Or maybe Notre Dame. Living on the way things were 30 years ago. Have fun being an idiot. -

I'm not even sure what this means. I'm going to ASSUME you are referring to Ray Rice and Leonard losing his job to him as a senior. Which, if you are, please stop talking before you forfeit all college football IQ points. Rice is one of the top 5 backs in college football, a real Heisman candidate, and a future first rounder in the NFL. There is no shame in Leonard being converted to FB because Rice showed up on campus. -
OK, after yesterday's performances I am seeing a real problem with an earlier waiver move. I know this is just stupid kickers, but I jumped on Jeff Wilkins after another owner dumped him after Week 1. Paid off in Week 2 with 3 FG's and a PAT. But seeing St. Louis' offense live for the first time, they are in real trouble. Can't move the ball if you have no line. Folk is still sitting on waivers and I am thinking I HAVE to make this switch even though he's just a rookie. Dallas offense may be the best in the NFL this year and the schedule shows no reason it will stop. Wilkins has more history, but it isn't going to much matter if he gets 2 FG attempts and no PAT's most weeks. Right? Please leave a link and I will answer yours.

I'll just add a +1 to all of the above comments. Either way I don't see things going your way tonight. Good luck!

Is it time to Buy or Sell LaMont Jordan?
cardinalempire replied to jakeman24's topic in FFToday Board
Meh, all RB's are succeptible to the injury. I don't think a concern over possible injury should be a reason to give him up for, say, Frank Gore. A broken hand or high ankle sprain can happen to anyone. He tore his MCL last year, otherwise he has been nearly automatic for making his starts or getting in the game. Back problems are a little scary, but he hasn't shown any signs of missing because of it. -
I dumped Boldin (admittedly right before his breakout week) after what I saw in Week 1 & 2. Despite the huge relief efforts of Warner, I still think that long-term Arizona is going to keep pounding the ball with Edge come hell or high water. 60 carries and 277 yards tell me that, especially when you consider that the Baltimore game only accounted for 10 of those carries. The only reason they went to the air is because they were down 20-3 before the half even got there. Also, Boldin's stats Sunday were a large part of Warner's relief appearance. He only had 2 receptions for 10 yards before Warner came in. After the old man took the reigns, suddenly we saw AB circa 2005. The light bulb went on for me after that, realizing that Leinart just doesn't seem to connect with Boldin like Warner did. It's almost like Boldin becomes a possession receiver when Leinart is throwing him the ball. While I was upset about missing out on those points, I think over the course of the season I am going to be much happier with TO/TJones than Boldin/Peterson. Is it time to Buy or Sell LaMont Jordan?
cardinalempire replied to jakeman24's topic in FFToday Board
I think this is a really important point. Jordan probably will be limited in rushing yards at some points this season. But as long as he stays active in the passing game (again, like 2005) he will get around 450-500 yards receiving. Part of the reason I think he can go for 1,600+ total yards is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. I'll take a guaranteed ~100 yards per game from any RB and love every minute of it. -
M. Barber III/J. Galloway for T. Jones/J.Walker PLEASE HELP
cardinalempire replied to jgregory7's topic in A Little Help!
Jump on this trade before the Barber owner realizes how dumb he is. I think it's mere days before Julius Jones loses the Dallas job outright. You just can't stop Barber. I don't know what the situation is with Galloway, but if he returns from that hit yesterday then you're not losing much (if anything) by going from Walker to the old man. I like this trade a LOT for you (if Galloway is healthy)... Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=290402 -
HELP ! where are the GREAT fantasy thinkers?
cardinalempire replied to hpdtx's topic in A Little Help!
Drop your last WR unless you are thin there. Then give up Big Ben. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=290402 -
How many teams in your league? Looking at your roster, I think you may just be up $hit creek and hoping that Rudi comes back healthy and Bush finds his mojo from last season. You don't have the depth anywhere to make a run for a RB1... no one is taking Holmes or Leinart for a starting RB. If you really think you need to make a move, I think it means letting go of Reggie Wayne or Romo. Maybe offer Romo and Wayne for someone like Hasselbeck and a decent RB1? Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=290402

Ditto... do this quickly. Pittsburgh is still the run-first team of the two and Big Ben still has Ward to throw the ball to. Marshall is moving up on Walker quickly, but I see more opportunities for Denver to pass the ball. And Walker is still the #1 receiver for the Broncos. We're talking Santonio Holmes I hope? Regardless I don't like it. Why give up a WR1 and a RB not in a RBBC for a Chicago D and a WR2 who has struggled so far this year? I don't think Jacksonville is a bad D to have (create turnovers, keep the team in the game) and Chicago may have been exposed a little by Romo and the Cowboys. Not that everyone has that offense, but still... I'd say turn the offer down.
-
Will be starting him over Holmes in my other league.
-
Haven't had the sack to start him over Parker or Rudi yet, but that will probably change this week with Johnson injured. Miami's 29th-ranked rush defense seems like a good time to unleash him. Hopefully he'll never look back.

Is it time to Buy or Sell LaMont Jordan?
cardinalempire replied to jakeman24's topic in FFToday Board
I'm with misteraction. I picked him up off waivers after the draft and have no reason at this point to do anything but hold on to him. Your league-mates are likely to be skeptical of Jordan after the disaster in 2006. But what they don't likely recall was that he was a Top 10 back in 2005 despite playing on a bad Oakland team. He was good enough in 2004 that, despite being Martin's backup in New York, many of my league-mates used him as a bye-week filler or in desperation for injury concerns. I distinctly remember an opponent using Jordan against me in 2004 when he ran for 115 yards and a score on the Dolphins. Thought I had it all wrapped up and laughed that the guy would start a back-up... wasn't laughing after the 4th quarter of that one. Point is that very few folks are going to give him proper value. If you do trade him, you're likely not going to get the Top 5 WR you should considering where his value will end up. He should rack up plenty of yards this season with or without Rhodes in the picture. Fargas and Rhodes will be fighting for 10-12 touches per game when they are both available while LJ2 gets the bulk. I don't know if there will be a TON of touchdowns, but 8-10 is certainly reasonable. If he adds about 1,600 total yards to that, he'll return to a Top 10 fantasy RB. Why trade that for pennies on the dollar? -
Rudi Johnson says he expects to play week 4.

**Official I will be starting MBIII over ______ from now on thread**
cardinalempire replied to unckeyherb's topic in FFToday Board
_______ = Everyone My other league will feature Frank Gore and MBIII the rest of the season save for bye weeks. -
Anyone know how bad the injur is? I have a strong stable of backs, but I may try to trade Rudi low and then grab Kevin Jones before someone takes him off waivers. We are limited to 4 RB's on the roster.
-
I'd do this. I think Marshall could be a starter for you very soon and you are definitely in need of a RB2. Jones is going to continue to lose carries to Barber and who knows if Ronnie Brown will ever come around. Downgrading to Berrian is tough, but having two RB's like Maroney and Gore will be nice at the end of the season. Thanks for answering mine.

Just processed my trade for #81 and it maybe complicates this week's decision more than helps. So many good matchups and my stud has the only "bad" one. TO @ CHI CJ @ PHI Curry v. CLE Welker v. BUF Which two would you start? Do I even consider benching TO?
