  1. I'm looking to drop M. Vanderjagt as I think I'll stick with D. Akers. Who should I pick up instead? Roster below.

(Lundy Removed) Anyone else worth picking up?

Doug Gabriel (Sounds like Branch will hold out, could put up decent numbers)

David Givens (I don't buy the Bennett hype)

Jerry Porter (Didn't do anything last year, but Gabriel is gone now)

Ernest Wilford (Someone has to catch the ball)

Brandon Jacobs (I have Tiki Barber)

  2. Some good points but it would pretty much end the Green Bay Packers.

...and the end of the Cardinals, Vikings, Rams, Buccs. Basically every team except NYG, NYJ, SF, NE and CHI.

Obviously, I feel a cap is important. That's why baseball is on the decline. Why develop and draft talent, if richer teams can be lazy and buy up all of the best players (Yankees). No, it doesn't by them a championship, but it sure buys them contention every single year. If they fail, oh well, spend some more money next year. Steinbrenner never goes in the red anyway, so why not do this. It's like playing a game of monopoly with one team starting with half the board and the other with Baltic Ave. Why play the game?

  3. I think there are some definite questionmarks here. However, Owens has continually put up huge numbers. I got him in the fourth round this year and grabbed Glenn as well. You can't beat that value.

I put nearly all my value in RB's, which is why my WR's are usually my weak point. This approach almost always works out for me.

  4. I love the comparison to Gale Sayers too. A super talented RB whose career was cut short due to injury. I just can't see Bush running through the tackles and taking big hits. However, I'm not saying Williams was a great pick. I think that trading down for more picks would have been the right move for the betterment of the team. Taking Bush sells tickets.

  5. I highly doubt it and I'm a Vikings homer. I just don't see this guy as a #1 WR. He's way too inconsistent.

The only player that I could see producing in the Vikings offense is Chester Taylor. I still believe that teams will stack the line against him and test Brad Johnson, so I doubt he will put up great numbers either.

  6. Which 2 WR's should I start this week. Almost tempted to start Owens and Glenn, but JAC defense is tough. Could play JAC defense as cover, but I think I'll go with CHI defense against GB instead.

    T. Owens @JAC

    L. Coles @TEN

    T. Glenn @JAC

    D. Stallworth @HOU

    J. Galloway vs. BAL

  7. It's been two straight years with high expectations from Jackson. Taking away his goal-line caries could hurt his value immensely. The question is can he rack up the yardage to be a number one RB?

  8. I've been really high on him this year. I like him over all of those guys. C. Williams is a close call though. I think he could put up some good numbers this year, especially getting at least some goal-line carries.

  9. Wouldn't count on that. Collins just signed with Tennessee and he played in the last preseason game. Doesn't take much to learn the offensive schemes at the goalline.

I obviously agree. There are clearly doubts about Jackson at the goal-line.

    Grabbed this from Fanball

While nobody knows yet exactly what Davis' role is going to be with the Rams, owners of Steven Jackson should be concerned that Davis, who has a history of producing at the stripe, will take goal line carries from Jackson. Steven is the latest fantasy stud to potentially lose value now that there could be a goal line vulture in his backfield, leaving only the Big Three, Rudi Johnson, and Ronnie Brown as elite backs without questions about how'll they be used. We'll be watching this situation closely to let fantasy owners know just how big an impact Davis will have on Jackson's fantasy value.

  10. When Linehan was in MN (2002-04), he prefered to use a goal-line back. The back of his choice was Moe Williams who scored 11 TDs in 2002. Now Linehan not only has Williams again, he now has Stephen Davis who scored 12 TDs last year, primarily as a goal-line RB.

With Tony Fisher also thrown in to the mix, what what does this mean for Jackson at the goal-line?

  11. sub-jec-tive [suhb-jek-tiv] - placing excessive emphasis on one's own moods, attitudes, opinions, etc.; unduly egocentric.

ob-jec-tive [uhb-jek-tiv] - not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts

I guess that hiding the fact that you have a vested interest in a certain player makes you objective. I'm sure that none of the other posters have any of these players either. I'm just being honest from personal experience, as I have had Clayton the last two years. Look what happened to Claytons stats the games Galloway played. Look for yourself. I have yet to see many objective posts in regards to players on this bored.
