Inflation is not inherently bad as long as income rises too. Target inflation is 2%. You want growth. You don't want deflation. Prices coming down due to contraction. We saw this in 2009.
-
Ray is blaming this inflation on Biden. But the inflation that hit 4 months in Biden's term, not Trump. He's a total joke.
-
Consumer sentiment is lower now than a year ago. Trump has a 40% approval rating on the economy. People do not think it's better except you.
-
20% you idiot, and it would have kept going if he didn't cave.
-
The market did crash, and he puzzied out, remember that? Caved like a bish. He called it Biden's market. After it came back following the puss out, now it's his market right? Eggs prices = bird flu. Prices are going up. Tariffs have increased and are taking hold. It's happening. Will happen faster once he starts dropping rates

I love that magas have to defend inflation now along with child rape, corruption. Everything they accuse Biden of is now good because it's Trump doing it

Midterms should be easy running against the party that protects child rapists and wishes them well, gives them special favors, etc -

Trump administration hints to halting the monthly job's report, until process can be "improved"...

If you don't like the jobs numbers, stop reporting them. This is what authoritarians do. -
Just to be clear, housing is not going down.
-
Mortgage rates haven't changed much in a year.
-
Yeah I know. For the past 4 years these Maga idiots were calling for deflation. Trump promised lower prices on day 1. 7 months in and we're cheering controlled inflation.
-
Home prices are largely influenced by supply and demand. If we were building new homes while demand was strong, you could see prices go down slightly without much concern. But housing starts are near a 5 year low, so it would be more likely the result of lower demand which is not good for the economy.

Beef and chicken primarily I've noticed. Prok ribs have been stable.
-
Wrong again. I'm rooting for prosperity. If Trump taco's everything and brings prosperity to all, I will eat crow. I'm assuming that won't happen.

Housing isn't down. Don't listen to that idiot. Housing was up .2% in July. Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/housing-inflation-is-easing-but-its-still-the-biggest-factor-driving-prices-higher-143440415.html Rent and owner’s equivalent rent, which estimates how much a homeowner would pay to rent an equivalent property, each jumped 0.3% last month from June. Lodging away from home, which includes spending on things like hotels, dropped 1% — one of the few major categories to see a decline. hotels and rentals dropped because of low travel. All in, shelter costs rose 3.7% in the last year. The rate of housing inflation is decelerating — July’s annual increase was the smallest jump since October 2021 — but continues to be hotter than broad inflation. Across all items, prices were up 2.7% annually and 3.1% after stripping out volatile food and energy costs.

Repedokins. -
Core inflation 3.1%, likely from tariffs. Oil at $63 is not good for domestic production but it's keeping the inflation number low. Lower oil caused by higher OPEC production and a lower demand globally which means slowing growth. I don't get calling food flat with the spikes in beef, coffee, and other stuff as well.

Trump doesn’t like jobs report, fires head of Bureau of Labor Statistics
Ron_Artest replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Trump's new guy? A Trump lackey who is also a buffoon. The data can't be trusted anymore. Antoni is the chief economist at the Heritage Foundation. He has been a relentless booster of Trump’s policies on social media. And he has demonstrated time and again that he does not understand economic statistics. https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/trump-wants-a-bureau-of-maga-statistics/ -
Trump is a master manipulator. They have no idea they are being used.
