Energy created - energy consumed = net energy. I'm saying that would have been positive every month resulting in an electric bill credit every month.

You don't understand how solar works. You need to put the money out for the panels and installation, then you generate electricity and anything you generate over your usage gets sold back to the grid so you can make money every month. Plus there are clean energy credits you can sell on the market. So initial layout of whatever it was, ~26k, the ROI is 8-10 years. This was also at a time where solar installations were hurting and they were making deals. Now the federal credits are all gone and electricity costs 30% more. Not sure what the cost or ROI is anymore.

I hear the other side too, like people attacking clean energy because the people they listen to and repeat get money from big oil to say those things.
