Men like him that grew up insecure about themselves, beaten down as young men, warped by toxic behavior, beaten down, abused and they grow up with this empty feeling and think that they need to be "masculine" to fill that void. Bullying others, sexual conquests, muscles, money, power over others, guns, trucks, etc. Nothing fills the void and they lead empty lives.
