RFK Jr cancels $500 million for vaccine development
Ron_Artest replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Nice edit. I do appreciate you trying. So let's take a look at this gerrymandering that preceded 2021. You're assertion is that the dems gerrymandering gave them power in 2021, correct? So then we need to look at what states did from 2016 - 2020, right? Zero states had new maps in 2020 vs 2016. The last round of gerrymandering was in 2011 following the 2010 census, 5 republican states vs 2 democrat states. It appears as though your assertion that Dems gained power in 2020 due to gerrymander is without basis. But I'll give you a chance to prove me wrong. What did I miss? -

@Meglamaniac pulled out a 20 year old cat riding meme on me after I proved to him that it was the republicans that stopped passage of the anti-gerrymandering law -

Watch his reply to me... "20 times banned alias says what? Who is this? Why would I believe you? Why are you still here?" Or he'll start with the personal attacks. -

No, it's all refutable. Let's put an end to this right now. He never said and you cannot show any quote that he did. Further it wasn't his rule, it was the CDC rule, and they didn't just make it up. There is a history behind it, you can read this story about it if you like: https://www.npr.org/sections/goats-and-soda/2024/06/21/g-s1-5705/coronavirus-faw-if-youre-still-trying-to-stay-covid-safe-does-the-6-food-rule-matter No he never did and you can't prove this. What you might be referring to is gain of function, which he said the funding was not for gain of function research, but it was one of the results. Story going into more detail if you like: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/10/29/repeated-claim-that-fauci-lied-congress-about-gain-of-function-research/ Yes they did say that, but we all don't know it came from a lab. The origin is not definitive and likely will never be. Here is an article from last Sept with the latest now saying from the market: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-024-03026-9 I'm not saying either theory is correct, just that there is no "correct" theory that can be proven. If you want to refute anything I posted, go for it. I assume you'll scurry away like you usually do. -

Yawn -
For the people Act, 2019 and 2021, both times passed the democratic led house, failed in the senate by Republican fillibuster Freedom to vote Act, 2021, passed the democratic led house, failed in the senate by Republican fillibuster. Simple answer, Republicans.

Fauci did not say that. You're lying. The 6 foot rule was the CDC rule based on aerosal dispersion, Fauci never said he made it up He also said he didn't fund Gain of research, which he didn't as that was not the intent. The initial source theory was outdoor market but that has evolved over time. There is still no definitive source that has been agreed upon. The one doing the lying is you. -
Also, twice in the past 5 years Democrats have tried to ban gerrymandering nationwide and republicans stopped it. So while history shows both sides have done, recent history show Democrats oppose gerrymandering and Republicans are for it. Obviously the public is with the democrats.
-
Yeah it's odd. You have your die hard magas that gargle trumps balls, but he doesn't really do that, he just says how bad democrats are. He even claimed that he didn't vote for Trump.

Of course he's not, it's the Maga way. Someone at some point in history has done something wrong, therefore we're justified in doing wrong stuff too. Terrible way of living.

Ron_Artest replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
That's not even a logical statement But let's break it down, I'm not listening to the experts? What opinion of mine is not supported by experts? The need for more vaccine research? The potential of mRNA vaccines? I'm literally repeating what experts are saying. I don't work in this field, but I have listened to experts, so yes I quite literally am listening to experts. -

From what Brainrot is saying, is that he doesn't trust the mRNA technology and wants "traditional" vaccines. Huge mistake. As previously stated, he's not a doctor or a scientist and has zero qualifications when it comes to making these kinds of decisions. He's doing so based on the social media campaign we saw during covid, where people spread lies like mRNA vaccines are dangerous, they spread 5g, you can stick forks to your face, cause sudden death, etc. The truth is the technology has the potential to advance healthcare in big ways. For example there is an mRNA cancer vaccine that has been developed is showing promise. https://www.mskcc.org/news/can-mrna-vaccines-fight-pancreatic-cancer-msk-clinical-researchers-are-trying-find-out How the technology could change the world: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/03/how-mrna-technology-could-change-world/618431/ Another short sighted, anti-intellectual, anti-science, fear based decision that sets America and the world back. Trump's America. -
The ten hottest years on record have all occurred with the last 15 years. ITS A SCAM!

I'm sick of "influencers" But I do laugh when I say magas turning on themselves. They've made it their brand to drink liberal years and fock your feelings and being abhorrent ass holes, so it's karma to see them turn on each other.

Trump now wants the FBI to get involved to help Texas steal congressional seats. Another example of authoritarianism and it will back fire against the public.
