Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

Whatever. They were disregarded by Trump. Trump chose to keep the Maduro regime in power.

Trump Warns Mexico, Colombia, Cuba May Be Next After Venezuela

I've been saying this all year. You can't just flood the market with oil and expect the price to remain high. Oil under $50 is not good for the US.
  3. Venezuelans at celebration parties in Miami could not believe it, insisting that Trump had misspoken. His plan appears to be for Venezuela to remain under the day-to-day rule of a senior chavista, with its democratically elected leaders excluded and its wealth controlled by American corporations." https://www.economist.com/the-americas/2026/01/03/donald-trump-wants-to-run-venezuela-and-dominate-the-western-hemisphere

We needed to invade and kidnap him. How many more invasions are we going to do?

How many trillions of dollars and dead Americans are you willing to sacrifice in order for Trump and his buddies to make billions off Venezuela's oil?

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

@TimHauck Good read on what the next few years look like. Trump didn't like Machado, the actual winner of the last election, and instead chose Rodriguez thinking that she will allow us to take the oil. Publicly this looks like a mistake but maybe she's singing a different tune behind the scenes. Also wonder how much money she needs to be paid off by the US for her to roll over. So that's the plan for a year or two. The Maduro regime is still in power. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/04/world/americas/trump-venezuela-leader-rodriguez-machado.html Weeks earlier, U.S. officials had already settled on an acceptable candidate to replace Mr. Maduro, at least for the time being: Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, who had impressed Trump officials with her management of Venezuela’s crucial oil industry. The people involved in the discussions said intermediaries persuaded the administration that she would protect and champion future American energy investments in the country. “I’ve been watching her career for a long time, so I have some sense of who she is and what she’s about,” said one senior U.S. official, referring to Ms. Rodríguez. “I’m not claiming that she’s the permanent solution to the country’s problems, but she’s certainly someone we think we can work at a much more professional level than we were able to do with him,” the official added, referring to Mr. Maduro. It was an easy choice, the people said. Mr. Trump had never warmed up to the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who had organized a winning presidential campaign in 2024, earning her the Nobel Peace Prize this year. Since Mr. Trump’s re-election, Ms. Machado has gone out of her way to please him, calling him a “champion of freedom,” mimicking his talking points on election fraud in the United States and even dedicating her Peace Prize to him. It was in vain. On Saturday, Mr. Trump said he would accept Ms. Rodríguez, saying that Ms. Machado lacked the “respect” needed to govern Venezuela.

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

Exactly. Most force, more money, this thing is far from over. It's also worth noting that while the Venezuelan people hated Maduro and are happy he's gone, they also don't want to be an American colony. They want freedom and that is a large task despite all the maga d sucking going on.

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

I think it's wrong for a country to invade another sovereign country and steal their resources, even if it's my own.
  11. Unfortunately this is America for many people.

I agree that at some point the US is going to install the new leadership that we want. That's a year or two away. Until that happens not much is gonna change. Also in order to get there we will likely see more bloodshed. As I correctly stated, the existing government is not going to just roll over and let Chevron start stealing their oil.

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

No, their military is no match for ours. I love watching you support the invasion and occupation of another country.
  14. America first turned neocon real quick. I have to believe that this is going to split maga. The bright side is this should guarantee the blue wave this year.

Yes they were violations too. Your logic is we violated international law before so it's ok?

    The new president.

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

No, we're concerned that the US broke international law and we now run another country that will take vast amounts of effort resources and boots on the ground to run. Your fake joy for Venezuelans didn't apply to the Venezuelans here that were forced to leave.

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

No we didn't rearrange the entire country. We kidnapped the leader. The new leader is in place and the entire infrastructure is the same.
  21. He should release the Epstein files. The survivors have suffered enough already.

Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

Is the new president going to roll over and allow us to take all their oil?
