Trump didn't like Machado, the actual winner of the last election, and instead chose Rodriguez thinking that she will allow us to take the oil. Publicly this looks like a mistake but maybe she's singing a different tune behind the scenes. Also wonder how much money she needs to be paid off by the US for her to roll over. I agree that at some point the US is going to install the new leadership that we want. That's a year or two away. Until that happens not much is gonna change.
