The answer is clear, the local police provide the security and crowd control. If the Gov requires extra support then they can request the national guard. You lied again about "the locals/state law enforcement refuses to provide that support". They did provide the support and the situation was calm before any military showed up.

I heard someone make a great point recently. Trump is a master at "dumbing things down'. He doesn't understand nuance or complex issues and neither do his followers. Case in point here in this post. This guy and magas as a whole don't have the intellect to understand nuance. So yes, violence is on those that commit it, but here's the nuance, when you instigate violence, then you're to blame as well. To dumb it down for the maga, it's like the bully who verbally abuses the kid all the time when the kid finally snaps and punches the bully in the face. Sure the kid shouldn't have hit him (some will argue he should) but he was instigated. That's why it's so hard to have these conversations with these people, no ability to understand nuance, no empathy, no critical thinking. They're just robots repeating what FoxNews tells them.

The non magas here have been pretty consistent. Violence is wrong, rioting is wrong, looting is wrong. If you're rioting or looting you need to be arrested and held accountable. How is that a dumb hill to die on? I'm sure you would agree. Where we disagree is on 2 things, IMO. 1) ICE and their mission. Magas want ICE to do whatever they want and take whoever they want with no respect for due process or laws. Non-magas want ICE to focus on the illegals with the rap sheets, the "bad hombres". 2) Trump's response. Magas support the military on civilian streets. Non Magas want the law followed. Gov gets to decide if national guard is needed. Non Magas think Trump's show of military force is a problem, Maga's like authoritarianism. We're not that far apart.

No I'm calling martial law, martial law. If Governors request the national guard for their state, go for it. I don't want federal agents or buildings attacked. That behavior was wrong and I've been consistent on this unlike the magaverse. But if Taco is gonna declare martial law and disperse the military across the nation to stop protests, then we have a big problem.
