To put it more simply, trump raised tariffs to 145%, China retaliated. Trump caved and lowered tariffs to 30% and got nothing in return. But yeah huge win that we pay 30% more for Chinese goods and our farmers likely need to get a bail out.

Trump caved again and went down to a 30% tax on China goods and China went down to a 10% tax on our goods. So instead of empty shelves we now just have to pay 30% more? Will China still buy from American farmers or have they been replaced? What happened to bringing jobs back or replacing income tax with tariffs tax? So many questions.
