University presidents won’t condemn antisemitism

It's not a fact, it's your bias. Her resume qualifies, but you see her skin color and say she's not qualified. Really ugly. Sad. -

This shite is real ugly my friend. It's assumptions like this that make the right look so bad. A black woman in power, must be a DEI hire. So sad. So incredibly sad for you. -
Character issues, yes. Opting out of a bowl game does not present a character issue. There have been lots of high character guys that opted out of bowl games like Christian McCaffrey.

Maine’s top election official removes Trump from 2024 primary ballot
Ron_Artest replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
A suspect has been arrested at the Colorado Supreme Court building after allegedly shooting out windows, holding an armed security guard at gunpoint and maneuvering about the building for nearly two hours until voluntarily surrendering early Tuesday, according to authorities. The timing comes soon after the state's high court drew controversy by ruling that former President Trump should be removed from the 2024 GOP primary ballot. Colorado State Patrol said in a statement that preliminary investigations "confirmed a high probability the incident… is NOT associated to the recent threats against the Colorado Supreme Court Justices." Sure it's not -

Let's just tell the truth here. Conservatives don't care about academic integrity. This isn't a fight to vet the qualifications of higher education leadership. It's a fight against DEI and a struggle as white men to keep their "rightful" positions of power. Clear as day. The Maga mob is strong and they'll do whatever it takes to cancel you and remove POC and Women from positions of power that threaten them and virtue signal the whole time doing it. Truly disgraceful. -

The plagiarism allegations came not from her academic peers but her political foes, led by conservatives who sought to oust Gay and put her career under intense scrutiny in hopes of finding a fatal flaw. Her detractors charged that Gay — who has a Ph.D. in government, was a professor at Harvard and Stanford and headed Harvard’s largest division before being promoted — got the top job in large part because she is a Black woman. Christopher Rufo, a conservative activist who helped orchestrate the effort, celebrated her departure as a win in his campaign against elite institutions of higher education. On X, formerly Twitter, he wrote “SCALPED,” as if Gay was a trophy of violence, invoking a gruesome practice taken up by white colonists who sought to eradicate Native Americans. “Tomorrow, we get back to the fight,” he said on X, describing a “playbook” against institutions deemed too liberal by conservatives. His latest target: efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in education and business. “We must not stop until we have abolished DEI ideology from every institution in America,” he said. In another post, he announced a new “plagiarism hunting fund,” vowing to “expose the rot in the Ivy League and restore truth, rather than racialist ideology, as the highest principle in academic life.” https://apnews.com/article/harvard-president-plagiarism-claudine-gay-3b048da1f2ee17b5edec3680b5828e8f -

She's not unqualified, and DEI doesn't mean hiring unqualified people. You just don't like her because she's a strong black woman who is smarter than you. -

The "fact checker" was a Republican in Congress. And it's all spin, because when people lost their jobs during covid, they were not on the payroll, so it counted as a lost job. When they went back on the payroll is counted as an added job. This is common sense. The payroll report doesn't account for jobs on hold or jobs paused or jobs recovered, it's a simple "how many on your payroll" and it goes up and down.
