It's the government using it's power over private entities to force them into decisions that benefit the administration through threats of penalty for not playing ball. This is authoritarianism. This is fascism. This is the very thing Trump said he would not do.

They have also made bids to acquire another media company, which would require FCC approval. As we saw with the skydance deal, in order to get FCC approval you need to pay off Trump, or at least Garner favor with him. Getting rid of Kimmel will do that. As you said if you don't see a problem with this, you're part of the problem.
