Home prices are largely influenced by supply and demand. If we were building new homes while demand was strong, you could see prices go down slightly without much concern. But housing starts are near a 5 year low, so it would be more likely the result of lower demand which is not good for the economy.

Lower oil caused by higher OPEC production and a lower demand globally which means slowing growth. I don't get calling food flat with the spikes in beef, coffee, and other stuff as well.
