    Favorite Fantasy Moments

Last year in my dynasty league semi finals I was leading by about 50 points going into monday night. Its colts vs Cincy. I have TJ and he has harrison and manning. This was the year I was supposed to win it all, I was the league scoring champ and right before the playoffs I traded my 1st round pick for the rookie draft for Tiki to help me with the championship run. BUT NOOOOOO... coach lewis decides that even though that he is way behing he is going to try to keep running the ball and manning decides that there are no other recivers on his team other than harrison. Well, to make the long story short, manning and harrison combine for 70 pts vs tj who ends up with 10 and I lose the chance to go to the league superbowl and my first round pick for next year by 10 pts.
  2. I dont think they would do that this year. I am hoping that Steve Smith would fall to us. If we do trade down, I think we will get an olineman or two.
  3. With Trent leaving and the high carries that LJ had last year, how many of you think that he will be able to repeat his big year? Lots of signs point to a down year for him.
  4. That is not a bust in my opinion, But under 1100 yards and less than 8tds would be dud to me for what he is projected

Denver trying to get Calvin Johnson

Not a detroit or denver fan, but I think if this was on the table for detroit and they didnt take it with all the needs that they have would be pretty stupid. The only reason that MM would not take it would probably be that he has no confidence in himself drafting. And as far as better deals out there, um 2 first round picks, a 2nd and a 3rd. NO.. dont see that happening, and if MM is thinking he is going to get more, he is being setup by other gm's. one more thing, the reason that denver is not offering a deal to raiders is multiple. 1. they feel that raiders are not going after a wr 2. price difference between 1st and 2nd spot is about 13 million. 3. They cant offer it to tampa at 4, since they are after calivn as well, and they cant go for 3 because if tampa then goes for 2 and gets it, they will be caught with thier pants around their ankles. I think denver is overpaying and if i was detroit i would take it and run. Or could it be MM throwing out stuff in the media to make tampa overpay for the 2nd pick? If he is, he is setting his price really high and may price other teams out and end up with the pick that he doesnt want and then have his pants around his own ankles.

    Got one quick question....

I am interested to know about how you manage the percentage upgrades for each of the players. Is there a site that handles this or is it done manually by the commish.

    Vince Young < Michael Vick

Ok.. now i am not a vick or young fan per say. I admit I have seen more of vick then i have seen of young but here is what everyone is missing. Vick is actually not a bad passer. As a qb, you can not get into a rythem nor accumlate good numbers when you are on a team that has the most drop balls in the league. not to mention that their outside recievers suck to no end. IF it wasnt for crumpler vicks numbers would have looked like youngs. i am sure you all have forgotten the year that vick had 3 years ago when he went to the finals against philly. look up his numbers then. look at what he did when he had some decent recievers. i know to allthe avg fan finneran is not much, but having that sure handed reciever does a lot for qb and keeping drives going. from what I have seen from vince.. he suffers from the same thing that vick does. he really has no go to reciever and the games that they won at the end of the season was due to their def and a little bit of youngs legs. it wasnt like young out did manning in the game they beat indy. it was the ten defense that shut down the indy offense and gave the chance to young and his legs to make a play. hmmm lets think about this... anyone remember how vick was winning games early? good defense and he would make a spectacular play... anyone forget that over time run against the vikings some years back where he made like 7 defenders miss? or the superman dive from 5 yards away 6 inches from the ground. I think both of these player have talent. They both maybe more talented in their legs then they are in their arm but if given the right support cast and scheme they can both be a formidable force in this league. Can you imagine if vick or young had 1 good reciever and 1 good te with a decent OL and defense. they would win 10+ games on yearly basis. and you will all see how well their passing skills really are. until then, sorry, we just have to wait and see what the team around them does to help them help the team to a victory. my dollar as my 2 cents are free.

    Stud vs Depth

in general which would you rather have? For example... between boldin or Ward and Glenn which one would you rather have for the rest of the year. lets say you have another very good WR in your team and the league setup is 2rb, 2wr, 1flex(rb,wr)

    Stud vs Depth

Well here is my team Ronnie brown/kj/rhode/morency/dayne Wayne/boldin/glenn/ward/jenning/ willimson I have an opportunity for a trade Sjax/witten for boldin/rhodes/morency/jenning Or Boldin/rhodes gor chester and moulds Or Glenn/ward/rhodes for chester nd moulds Now I can't decide if I want depth or studs

To allow or not to allow

From one commissioner to another, do you guys allow trades for players in the future? so team A trades player A and B to team B for Player C for now and Player D in two weeks? there is nothing in our bylaws to prevent it.. but I am not inclined to let it go through... whether the trade is fair or not. Or i might put it up for league vote. I was wondering has anybody else done this before and your experiences regarding this good or bad?

    Rudi or Ronnie

I think rudi is better but ronnie has better matchups for the rest of the year... or should that not be a reason on who you would rather have?

    Rudi or Ronnie

Wow, this seems to be split down the middle.. I have ronnie and have been offered rudi for him straight up.. but with the next two weeks matchups i have a hard time pulling off the move... Also not to mention the overall sched. and the playoff schedule for Miami. my main concerns with ronnie is not ronnie, but the miami line and c-pepp.
  13. Traded 1/48/49 for 5/20/44. Ended up with 1.5 Ronnie Brown 2.8 Boldin 2.12 KJ 3.1 Wayne 4.8 Ward now here is the kicker... when i was up for my 2.12/3.1 pick, both moss and TO were there and only other rb's were chester Taylor and Droughns. Did I make a mistake passing up any of these guys?
  14. at 2.8 only other rb available were jamal lewis and FWP.
  15. we start 2 rb 2 wr 1 flex (wr/rb) i am not sold on my KJ pick.. thats just my opinion... I would be interested to hear if anyone thinks that droughns or taylor would do better and why.
  16. good assessment. There was nothing better available when i drafted ward... he was the highest ranked player on my board. I think Kj would do as well if not better than droughns or taylor.. so thats why i took him. as there was going to be no more rb for me to be had later on. When i drafted boldin.. i passed up on holt... (mostly because i have him in my other league) I am not soo concerned with that ... But i passed up on TO and MOSS for wayne.. and actually when they dropped to me.. it took me by suprise... i didnt expect it.. but i didnt want the head aches either.... Although I think I will regret having passed up on TO and probably on Moss as well. Not very happy camper today..
  17. this is a very interesting topic as i am in the same situation. I am actually leaning to trade 1/48/49 for 5/20/44...

    my team this year

sorry dude, for a 10 teamer its pretty bad.. you reached a lot and i mean a lot in the 2nd, 3rd round and 5th round. I think here is where i see your mistake. you had projections for these players, and drafted them where you thought they will finish at the endof the year, to which they very well maybe. but the art to having a successful draft is to draft value. which means, that you may think that mason will end up with stats that would warrant 5th round selection but his current value lets say is 8th. So what you want to do is wait for mason until he is a lost closer to his current value to pick him. Then when he puts up 5th round numbers, he will be steal in the 8th round and you look like a genius. The main problem when you come across by drafting on your projections vs value is that if you are wrong.. you will not be happy camper during the season.

No way Gates finishes #1 this year!

i agree and disagree with you. Yes, he will look for more dump off passes no, it wont necessarily mean that they will be successful to Gates. Why you may ask.. let me explain. The reason that brees was able to get the ball to gates consistently was that he is also able to burn the defense if they over play on gates by getting the ball to the other recievers. Well, since thats not going to be the case (most likely) anymore then it will be a lot easier for the defense to take away gates. I can actually see LT2's reception #s increasing sine I think rivers will look to him more for dump offs, like brees used to do early in his career.
  22. oh yea.. i know the place, been there many times, great wings.. not quite walking distance from where i work..

    Norris Battledome - Pre-Draft

as much as i want to agree with you, I cant. in reality polls and opinions dont count, since they are not a fact. But without them there will be no love of the sport nor this website for people to express their opinions in statements or Polls. They can end up being right or wrong. so the question is the people who are expressing their opinions, how far would they go to back it up? And if someone tends to have the right opinion more often then others, then his view would be held higher...
