Bessent is saying if you kiss Trump's ass then you get your tariff lifted. I had heard this theory. He only put these tariffs in place so the rest of the world could kiss his ass. I thought it was crazy but apparently not.

Obama and Bush did not want to see the economy collapse and worked hard to save it and Americans. Trump doesn't care about crashing the economy and golfed all weekend while Americans were concerned. This economy is technically easier to fix than the great recession. The question is will Trump actually do it or will he continue his purposeful sabotage.

By correctly going cash before "Liberation Day" I saved 10% in losses. I'm back in now albeit with less risk but if negotiations look unlikely I might make more moves before we hit the bottom. Has nothing to do with Trump personally just his policies. I made similar moves in 2022 when Biden was in office and it worked out well.

We don't know what the endgame is because he changes it every day. Bring back jobs, no trade deficits, lower tariffs, etc

It's more than just the market. The market is the indictor that this is a bad idea. The financial and economic community consensus is that this is bad for the global economy.

You can be a supporter of tariffs yet realize that what Trump is doing is absurdly stupid bordering on psychotically evil. How many more days of economic collapse do you want to give this before you admit it?

What you described has been America since the early 2000s. This collapse was clearly tariffs driven if you open your eyes. This was caused by one man.
