  1. T-Bird...useful thus far?

Very interesting, find it difficult following the college game over here, so I've already picked up a few names to watch that I'd not come across (couldn't possibly say who, don't know if any of my rivals log in here !!) plus a few negatives against the supposed 'star' picks. Not fully digested it all yet, but sure looks like a handy tool come FF draft day !!

Being 'picky' I've spotted a few 'typos' (1 whole paragraph straight from the 2006 version) but that's just me, tend to jump out at me but then I usually can't see my own, but they don't detract from the overall publication......when can I order the 2008 edition

  2. Doesn't this list depend on the value of QB rushing yards in the league one is in? In a lot of leagues, wouldn't Vick's and Young's rushing yards make them possible Top 6 candidates (fantasy wise)?

Might surprise you, but after Vince with 7 rushing TDs, Peyton was next with 4. Vick only managed 2 TD's despite all the yards !!!

  3. I think his 200+ carries and 1000+ yards make him look very interesting on a fast indoor turf. I hope they don't rush KJ back into action so he heals properly. Redraft wise, I'm looking for him in the 4th round.

....but would yo0u keep him in a keeper league????

  4. Our league runs fairly basic, you score what you score, regardless of position, so if a QB runs or catches a td then he scores the same as if he were an RB. LT threw a couple and caught a couple last year and was 'rewarded' accordingly.

Our rule is simply that the player plays at the position, as recorded on the teams official roster. We had a situation a few years before I joined where a guy wanted to start Kordell Stewart as a WR because the Steelers were reported to be starting him there. But as Pitt had him listed as QB, this was a no-no.

So to answer the question, if 'Hornung' is listed as RB then he plays as RB but WILL get the kicking points as well, so effectively his team would be starting 2 kickers!!

    I like things nice'n'easy

  5. Well,

any way that the projection buddy can be integrated ??

and I think there was talk of some kind of trade buddy

Overall it's top notch, and even with no tweaks I'll be buying

  6. WAYYYYYY TOOO EARLY but hey,

Can you give us a guesstimate of the release date for the 07 version and an idea of any upgrades you have in mind ??

Can't get enough of the CC/DB :D :dunno:

  7. Never heard of Fanstar.

Fanball is pretty good if the commish can set it up good.

How do you run your league? Is it a group of friends that all get together and draft or do you do internet with a bunch of strangers?

Annual Draft 'meeting' although we are well spread accross the UK.

  8. Hi all,

I'd welcome your input oin this..

Currently our league is on RTsports, and I know that lots of you rate these highly (as we do) but we may be changing.

Do any of you have any experience of FANSTAR, looks more pleasing on the eye than RT, but I appreciate that there's more to a website than eye candy !!

Any feedback would be gratefully received.

  9. First of all, I love the draft buddy. I have using it for three years now and have really enjoyed it. The functionality just keeps getting better and better each year. Thanks Mike.

I was just curious, how many people out there are using this product? And why would anyone not be?

Only gotta look at the number of posts in this forum to get an idea.

    CC/DB Rocks  :headbanger: :dunno:

  10. This may make me the biggest fantasy football geek on earth, but I like to update the Draft Buddy following the draft for players that were immediately dropped following our draft with players that were added.

Don't worry GDogg, our league runs a 'supplemental' draft after the event so that we can take advantage of any sleepers showing strong in preseason (we draft the last weekend in july) and I've just added them to the buddy by using extra 'keeper' slots.

Geeks of the forum unite

  11. What position is he? WR for... Ravens? (I didn't look that up. It sounds familiar and I'm taking a stab at it.)

OOPS :first: - me thinks one of our guys 'messed' up - he's listed as Cornerback, Chicago. We don't do IDP he thought he was WR  . Might explain him being missing !!!

  12. I don't think there will be any difference in rankings. Or... shall I say, you wouldn't want there to be any difference in rankings.

Say your league scores 1 point per 50 yards (no decimals) and we have Player A projected with 51 yards and Player B projected with 99 yards.

Same FF points, right? But who do you want to select first? Even though we know there is a margin of error for all players, the assumption is Player B is more likely to outproduce Player A, and he is the better pick. If we didn't use decimals, then the rankings may very well put Player A above Player B.

Good point that Mike, hadn't looked at that angle. Guess I'll leave things as they are

  13. It's kind of dissapointing not to see more interest in these mock drafts for the Compiler users.

LOL, I need all the practice I can get before the chips are really on the table!!

I appreciate your efforts Mike! Hopefully we get enough interest you don't have to scramble to accomodate it like you did last time.

    Cheers

    Understand your sentiments Blaneyfan...

..thing is, this side of the pond, 9pm eastern, translates to approx 2am GMT  and whilst I'd love to have a go, it's not really practical at that time!!

Best arrange one for 4pm eastern :shocking:

  14. Okay, a new Compiler and Draft Buddy versions 1.5 are now uploaded and ready to download.....

.....Remember you can copy league profiles to 1.5 from your prior version Compiler (2005 or 2006 Compiler). Go to the update tab for instructions. No point keying all those league inputs and scoring in again!

For my money the bigger bind is rekeying in the DB all the picks/keepers.

Also, when I've downloaded the new CC, the projections I'd loaded from another site have gone.

and on the DB the keepers page is only recognizing 12 teams..all other pages show the full 14.

    Any ideas Mikes ??

    Thanks TBird 1
