  1. Philly fans are loyal to their teams because they are like family. We're not always happy with them but we always love them.

Why is it relevant how many championships they've won? If the USA doesn't win gold in the Olympics we don't suddenly start rooting for the Russians.

  2. Eagle homer and Curtis owner here. Curtis hasn't been a starter for me yet this year but I'm thinking about trading one of my starting WR for a RB after last week. I don't think I'm overreacting. The first 2 weeks McNabb played as badly as he ever has and Curtis' numbers were still respectable. If McNabb is back in form (based on the 4th quarter of Mon night and the Lion's game) then his Curtis' stock skyrockets. I obviously don't expect 200 yds every week but McNabb looks his way all the time and the Eagles are always going to pass the ball. I don't think it's crazy to think he puts up Stallworth type numbers but projected over a full injury free season. If that's the case then he will be a very nice #2 WR.

  3. Peterson was a top 5 draft pick and the 1st RB taken in the draft. He more than fulfilled any expectations the Vikings have for him in week 1. How long do you think they are going to stay with RBBC? I'll wager that Peterson outscores E. James this year. Randy Moss while extemely talented is an injury risk every year. If he stays healthy he is probably only a slight upgrade to Walker. I think you'll regret this and I don't think we'll have to wait 'til week 7 for that to become obvious.

  4. Our league added a flex position this year and while I understand that you'd obviously play the better player I was just curious if anybody out there with a league that uses a flex had found that one postion tends to consistently outscore the other. Based on the rosters in my league it appears everybody feels a 3rd RB is better than a WR.

  5.

as for the pass to brown, you don't understand what to look for.the reverse is true on the TD to brown. it was a borderline poor decision by mcnabb to even throw it, as williams had not bitten on the flea-flicker. the throw itself was terrible, and absolutely should have been picked off by williams, who wound up mistracking it.

You must be a real expert because Hall-of-Fame QB Steve Young called it the throw of the week on the MNF pre-game show.

  6. Orthotics are like arches in your shoes. Apparently he felt the foot problem that kept him out the preseason was due to his spikes not giving enough support and that he had solved the problem by going with a heavier sole thet provided more support. I suppose this could cause a problem with your knee.

  7. I think 80 receptions is about right but based on his speed and career ypr I think he'll get closer to 1200 yds. 9-10 TDs is very realistic based on McNabbs play and the way the Eagles throw the ball.

Patsfan39, are you in keeper league? You've got quite a few 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round choices in your lineup.

  8. I have Buckhalter as the handcuff but I'm not quite sure that if Westbrook doesn't play that Moats doesn't come in and take over his role. Granted Buckhalter's role would be increased but Moats would take Westbrooks place. I live outside Philly and am an Eagles fan so I pay pretty close attention and I'm pretty sure that's the way it would go down. I just can't bring myself to use 2 roster spots on handcuffs for one guy that may end up in a RBBC.

  9. I actually have both and it would be hard to decide who I'd keep or trade. Burress is more of a known quantity, although i feel he's never quite reached his full potential (I think this will be the year that's why I drafted him). Stallworth has more upside. The Eagles throw like crazy, he is talented and apparently has gained McNabb's trust. The only receiver McNabb ever trusted before was TO and you saw what happened there. If your thinking of trading one keep in mind that Westbrook's health will play a large role in the effectiveness of the whole Eagles offense.
