Honestly, MJD holds no value to me, and I certainly wouldn't give him any consideration as a starter unless I was extremely desperate. Might be better off holding onto him to see if he starts producing, but at the same time you don't have anything to lose by offering him MJD for a defense.

Hmm, I am not sure you are getting enough in return on this one...
Brady is good trade bait, and I like the idea of shipping him off.
Bernard has a lot of potential, Williams/McGahee will likely be a downgrade there, but less certain on McGahee since he only has played really one game.
James Jones is a fairly consistent commodity, and Mr Injury Prone Amendola is good when healthy in PPR.
So, you are downgrading 3 spots for a potential upgrade at 1. The other guy is hedging a lot on the future, but they aren't bad bets... Brady gets Gronk back this week probably, Amendola will get healthy, and Bernard's workload will likely increase.
I don't like it. Might be a good idea to hold onto Brady for another week and see if his numbers go up with Gronk and then dangle him out there for a trade.

I'd go with Sproles - NE has given up a lot of yardage to RB's this year, and I think Sproles has greater odds for having a big game.

Remember, Weeden started the first 2 games of the season and threw to Cameron a ton (14 receptions, 200ish yards, and a TD). With Hoyer his production increased, but Weeden alone should not discourage you from using Cameron unless he shows a pattern over a few weeks. I would play Gates in the flex as I am not willing to trust any Jag.

I like Gordon for sure, but the others are a bit closer I think. I don't think Austin is much of a threat to Williams right now and may be a very viable option. I'd go Williams or Powell as the second.

Yeah I think your odds are better with Fred than the others. Always hard to say, but you know he will get touches for sure, the others are more of a gamble.
Looking for thoughts on this one: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=425623

10 Team PPR, starting 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, NO Flex, Roster as follows:
QB - Matt Ryan
QB - Phillip Rivers
RB - LeSean McCoy
RB - Giovani Bernard
RB - Lamar Miller
RB - Joique Bell
WR - Dez Bryant
WR - Brandon Marshall
WR - Jordy Nelson
WR - Roddy White
WR - Austin Pettis
TE - Jordan Cameron
TE - Rob Gronkowski
DEF - Seahawks/Ravens
K - Gostkowski/BaileyMy #2 RB is my weakest link, and I have 1 tier one TE's in Cameron and Gronk, and they share the same bye week. So, I have two trades lined up (owners have agreed verbally, but not executed yet), and I can't decide if its worth it or if I should scrap it and go back to the drawing board.
TRADE 1: Brandon Marshall & Joique Bell for DeMarco Murray & Tavon Austin
TRADE 2: Gronkowski, Lamar Miller, and Austin Pettis for Wes Welker
So essentially I would be shipping off Brandon Marshall and Gronkowski for Wes Welker and DeMarco Murray.
I do think Marshall is probably better to have than Welker - the targets may be coming down a bit, but Welker is only getting around 5-7 on average I think and his numbers have been highly dependant on TD's. Is Murray really an upgrade for me? He probably has the potential to put up big numbers, but take away his one big game and his average comes down considerably. What do you guys think? I am lacking in teams needing Tight Ends, and I will be damned if I drop Cameron or Gronk come week 10 (assuming they are both healthy).

I think they are fairly comparable this week, but Shorts has more upside.
-
QB - Roethlisberger vs Dalton (Bradford best option available on WW)two bad matchups and a QB I am not sure is trustworthy, but that is what I have to work with.
1 pt / 25 yards, 6 / TD, -2 INT

The one thing I do not like is with Denver and Richardson a good game out of Richardson will negatively impact your scoring for your DEF. I like NE more this week.
I'd take Decker over Colston

PIT vs CIN is almost always a slugfest, earlier in the year Miller went 6 for 53 and a TD. With how much Roethlisberger has been throwing lately, the targets should remain high for Miller.
I do expect Colston to have a respectable game this week, but he's the bigger gamble and so I would go with Miller.

I agree with your line of thinking here, and feel Hartline is a pretty big risk. Those back injuries are pretty tricky and rarely heal quickly.

1) I am also struggling with an R. White vs others question - If you do bench White, I would go with James Jones. I'm not convinced the DET v ATL game is going to be very close, and if it isn't we are likely to see low numbers from White again.
2) Moreno and Forte is who I would go with at RB. Both have great matchups, and I don't think Lynch will do poorly, but I think he's the least likely to make the endzone.

Have a couple roster decisions that I am torn on -
QB - Roethlisberger vs Dalton (Bradford best option available on WW)Two bad matchups and a QB I am not sure is trustworthy
WR - Roddy White or Danny Amendola - 1:1 PPR league, really don't want a repeat of last week with White
If anyone thinks I am crazy for benching Tony Gonzalez for Aaron Hernandez, let me know!
Full Line Up
QB - B. Roethlisberger
RB - R. Rice
RB - J. Charles
WR - A. Johnson
WR - C. Shorts
WR - ??D. Amendola??
TE - A. Hernandez
K - J. Tucker
DEF - NYJ
BENCH
A. Dalton
H. Nicks
R. White
M. Leshoure
B. Brown
T. Gonzalez
N. Novak

Sage advice here. Good analysis.Yeah, I'm not doing the trade.. really I just would like AD for homer reasons, not sound FFL reasons.
-
I'd also hold off for now and see what happens if you can afford to do so. Addai and Housh are solid. Thanks for helping me
Yeah, I'd hold off - while Housh and Addai are tempting, LT is one of the few players that the only way I would trade him away is for an absolutely ridiculous trade offer.
-
Well, I got a trade offer that intrigues me, though I think I would maybe be giving up too much, looking for opinions..maybe a possible counter offer idea.
League starts 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DEF. This is a PPR league.
I would receive:
Adrian Peterson (MIN)
Antonio Gates
Lendale White
Mike Furrey
I would give:
Larry Johnson
Marshawn Lynch
Terrell Owens
Jeremy Shockey
I give up Lynch who has been fairly consistent, but not spectacular.. LJ which has obviously been underachieving but has alot of upside and more favorable matchups coming down the road, TO has been underachieving a bit, but is still a solid play. My biggest upgrade would be at TE with Gates; AP is a bit of a gamble, but appears somewhat reasonable.. bleh definately giving up too much, I'd be crazy to do it.. I'd love AP and Gates, but thats way too steep a price.
My team is:
T Romo
J Kitna
L Johnson
M Jones-Drew
M Lynch
E Graham
T Houshmandzadeh
T Owens
M Colston
S McDonald
J Galloway
J Shockey
D Graham
His team:
J Cutler
B Favre
R Bush
A Peterson
L White
B Jacobs
M Furrey
R White
D Branch
S Smith
A Gates
R McMichael
Accidentally posted this on the wrong board.. TimmySmith suggested dropping Owens/Furrey out of the trade, which seems like a reasonable ideas.. anyone else have any thoughts?
-
Bad deal for you. This guy is trying to be the king of "sell high, buy low". Drop Owens and Furrey out of the deal, and it is more even. That's a good suggestion, I may even offer him that... probably a bad idea cause I'm giving up 3 starters for 2 and I'm sure AD's leg will fall off the second I would acquire him, but it would be nice to root for a Viking.
-
Why did you start this thread if you have already made up your mind?Mostly for counter offer ideas, but I'm also always open to outside thoughts as well.. though I just realized I posted this in the wrong forums.. oops.

I have LJ as well, but sadly also have MJD and not enough respectable backups to replace both of them. I'm against trading him, but.... someone is offering me Rudi J for him, that one at least has me thinking, what do you guys think. I know RJ has a hammy injury, but it doesn't sound bad at this point.

I would take Lewis for a 6th rounder, absolutely. I think there is a decent chance of Lewis having a good year, and really a 6th rounder is pretty good value. I wouldn't touch the Green trade, though.
I have tatum as one of my two RB protectables thanks to Tiki Barber.I am offered Jamal Lewis for my 6th round pick(really a 14th after the 8 protectables)
Should I make this trade and get rid of Tatum or is Lewis a bad choice.
I am also offered Ahman Green for my 2nd round pick.
I need to make a choice before Saturday Aug 4 at noon.
RG III or Philip Rivers? (post your link)

I'd hop on the Rivers train and stay until/unless he proves untrustworthy.
