    Top 55 dynasty RBs

Overall I like how you ranked them compared to Chris W. but here are the ones I do not agree with: Harrison too high at 16, 2010 maybe but not long term McFadden too high at 25, I still say he is more track star than football player Forte was way too high going into this year but 27 is too low moving ahead Benson was the only bright spot in the playoff game for the Bengals. He has produced for 1 1/2 years now, 28 is too low for a solid feature back with or with out past problems.

Julius Jones to remain Seahawks starter!

They still need to evaluate JJ, they have not seen enough
  3. dmac37

    WR Jacoby Jones

Not sure about this year yet, next couple of weeks should tell a lot. But I think he is a great flyer to grab in dynasty

Who has the best finish of the Year?

    What a gift, go Fitz!

    Ray Rice over your "stud"

You didn't get the memo, Ray Rice is the stud!
  6. This is also one of my decisions for #3 RB. Until now I planned on Brown over Benson but this may change. Benson has the better matchup and should get more touches with Ricky still in the picture. Also Cedric has been getting a good amount of receptions at the end of last year and this pre season.

    Jacksonville WR's

The only thing he has to "get" is stay healthy!
  8. If you have been frustrated in a leagues where you had one of the best teams only to lose in the playoffs check out this league. The best teams throughout the 16 weeks will earn money, not the teams that happen to have the best match ups during playoff weeks. I have set up this league to create the most level playing field while rewarding the best teams. Basics: 12 teams, $80 entry, no playoffs, 16 weeks of doubleheaders using a combination of head to head and total points(victory point scoring). I'm sure you have been in a league that you had one of the top teams all year only to be knocked out of the playoffs because of players being rested at the end of year or an injury, or just one fluke week. The following settings and rules are used to create the most level playing field: Auction Draft- why have your team determined by draft order, auction style gives all owners the chance to pick the players they really want. Once most people enter an auction league they don't go back to a standard serpentine draft. Victory Points- by using a combination of head to head and total points scoring you still have the excitement of weekly head to head match ups while also rewarding teams by the amount of points they total. If you use only total points scoring the champion can be decided early and you don't get the head to head match ups. Each week you will get 2 points for each win or 1 point for a tie. Also each week the top 4 total point scoring teams will get 4 points, the next 4 in total points scored will get 2 points, and the bottom 4 in total points will get 0 points. So each week a team will total between 0-8 victory points by their doubleheader head to head match ups and the points earned from the total points scored. Decimal Scoring- why should you lose points because your player does not reach a certain level. Example if a player rushes for 79 yards, he earns 7.9 points, rather than just 7 points because he did not reach 80 yards. This also helps to avoid ties in scoring. Doubleheaders- along with total points scored, doubleheaders help to create a more balanced scoring system. The odds are better for the top scoring teams to get a win having 2 games per week. Many times with 1 game per week the top 3 or 4 scoring teams play each other and you come away with a loss. Blind Bid Waivers- all teams have an equal chance at all free agents. This also involves strategy on how much and who to bid for. No Trades- being this is an internet league, a no trade league will take away worries of collusion. Other information: League Size: 12 Owners Roster Size: 20 Starting Lineup(s): 1 QB 3 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 PK 1 DT 1 QB 2 RB 4 WR 1 TE 1 PK 1 DT 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 2 TE 1 PK 1 DT 1 QB 3 RB 2 WR 2 TE 1 PK 1 DT Draft: Auction draft on MFL, slow e-bay style, planning to start on Aug 17th pending league vote I will need payment by Aug. 10th Payouts 100%: $960 less the $89.95 league site fee which leaves $870 (A.K.A. I KEEP NOTHING) 1st Place = $500 2nd Place = $250 3rd Place = $100 Week 16 top scoring team = $20 Having a payout for week 16 should keep teams competitive throughout the year. Payments will be mailed out after week 16 stats become finalized. The league will be run on MFL (my fantasy league), here is the link to check out details on the scoring and league rules. 2009 league link http://www17.myfantasyleague.com/2009/home/36829 2008 league link http://www.myfantasyleague.com/2008/home/46398 e-mail me at davidmac@sbcglobal.net to sign up or ask any questions.
  9. The league is designed to create the fairest level of play on all situations, while rewarding the best teams throughout the year: 12 Team Dynasty Auction League $100 per year Starting lineup- 1QB, 2-3RB, 2-4WR, 1-2TE, 1PK, 1DEF Auction Draft- why should your roster be determined by your draft order, auction draft puts all teams in an equal position to draft any player. Draft will be a slow style type taking about 2 weeks, starting late July early August depending on a league vote. Victory Point Scoring- top 1- 4 teams in total points get 4 points, the 5-8 teams in total points get 2 points, the bottom 4 teams in total points get 0 points. Doubleheaders- helps to reward total points scored each week. Many weeks in a single head to head, 2 of the top teams play each other and the losing team gets zero while a lower scoring team gets 2 points because of who they played. Doubleheaders increase the odds of a top scoring team earning points. Scoring is like regular head to head you get 2 points for each win. Each week all teams can score from 0-8 points from the combination of head to head doubleheaders and victory points. You keep the fun of head to head and reward teams for total points scored. Decimal scoring- why should you lose points because your player does not reach a certain level. Example if a player rushes for 79 yards, he earns 7.9 points, rather than just 7 points because he did not reach 80 yards. This also helps to avoid ties in scoring. Blind Bidding- all teams have an equal chance at all free agents. This also involves strategy on how much and who to bid for. 100% payout- just the $89.95 MFL league fees will be taken out, the rest of the money is paid out. Leaguesafe- we will use leaguesafe.com, being that this is an internet league this should make everyone more comfortable. Rosters- 24 players each team, this way you can keep the deep sleepers you like. Deposit- $50 per team to be paid in the first year. If an owner leaves the league his deposit will be returned as long as another owner can be found within a 4 week period after the team leaves or does not pay his dues by the deadline. If a replacement owner is not found within 4 weeks the original owner will lose his $50 deposit and the team will be up for sale at 50% off. This should attract serious owners and keep a solid core of the league rather than always trying to fill an open spot. Usually only really bad teams have a hard time of being replaced. Prize money- payout can be voted on but here is what I would like to do: Prize money will be split between regular season and playoffs, with a higher % being paid out to regular season week 1-13 top finishers. Many years the top teams during the regular season end up with nothing because of a bad break in the playoffs (injury, starter sitting out, etc...). Regular season champ= $375, regular season 2nd place = $225, regular season 3rd place = $125, Super Bowl Champ = $250, Super Bowl Runner Up = $135. One team could take away $625 if they were able to win both regular season and the Super Bowl. These payouts can be voted on if a different payout is preferred by the majority. I'm a mature family man that is looking to run a fair and active league. I have experience as a commish and started my own league because I did not want a % of the winnings going to the company that runs it and have been involved in leagues with obvious collusion and problems with the winners getting paid. Post, PM or email davidmac@sbcglobal.net if interested. Link to the league, click on Reports- League- and By Laws for more details: http://www17.myfantasyleague.com/2009/home/51891
  10. One team just dropped out so there is an open spot. Slow auction draft starts on July 29th, email or PM to claim the spot. Thanks!

Great job Matt! Millen may still have a job if he had you as a draft/scout consultant.

    Defenses for the playoffs

This should of already been done a few weeks ago, both these teams also were good for this past week. Weeks 14-16 Colts- Bengals, Lions, @Jags Dolphins- @ Bills, 49'rs, @Chiefs

    Well hello Mr. Hillis...

Hillis is the 2008 version of Graham and Grant. Ride him through the FF playoffs!

Tatum Bell is expected to start.

I think Bell is fools gold. He has a little bit of value this week because Young will still be out for one more week and a weak Raider rush defense. Hillis will get goal line looks and is the receiving back on a pass heavy offense. Bell is not an option to catch the ball and Young will take over between the 20's once he is back.

    Desperate fopr a RB

I like both Hillis and Betts, both also have a good matchup next week. The way it looks now I could see both Portis and Young being out one more week.

Keep the Hillis love coming! From Rotoworld: Peyton Hillis-RB-Broncos Nov. 15 - 12:55 am et The Rocky Mountain News reiterates that Peyton Hillis will likely be the Broncos' starting tailback in Week 11 against Atlanta. The Denver Post has also made this clear. While both papers are guessing, it's educated and if Hillis starts off well he probably won't lose much action to Tatum Bell or P.J. Pope. Bell was recently signed out of a mall where he was selling cell phones and isn't even guaranteed to be active on Sunday. Source: Rocky Mountain News

I'm with ya MFM, Hillis should be a good play this week as long as there are no Shananaginns When Bell put up numbers with Denver they were a run heavy team and the RB position was a plug n play position, did not matter who the RB was. Broncos are now a pass heavy offense and will need a back that can pass block and receive out of the backfield. Bell- not in game shape, not a receiving option out of the backfield, not a goal line back = not good Hillis- great receiving option out of the backfield, good pass blocker on a pass first offense, goal line back = best option

    D Mason

Mason in PPR 4 home games = single digit scoring 3 away games= double digit scoring, 2 of them 20+ points This week @ Cleveland I can see the Ravens needing to pass more than usual going against a fired up team and city (still seem to be bitter about the move to Baltimore). Also Williams out for the year and Heap doing nothing and Mason should see many receptions.

Chigago homers: Who is this weeks #1 WR for them?

Not a Chicago homer but I like Hester due to the amount of touches. Starting WR Special Teams- due for a return to the house Wildcat- being mentioned that he could be used in this formation. As a Lion homer he could do major damage against this defense that does not tackle well.
  23. dmac37

    Sammy Morris

He should score this week and be a good play going against Denver with the other NE RB's out. I'm not sure Morris has a lot of value for the rest of the year, I thought he looked real slow and tentative last week.
