I'm willing to bet that Evans lines up in the slot when he's on Ramsey's side with Scotty Miller or Perriman out wide a large part of the time.  When he's out wide, I expect him to be on the other side.  Ramsey's easy to game plan against if you have versatile receivers.

When they put Evans out wide on Ramsey's side, expect Evans to run an inside route with Miller or Perriman under cutting and running deep down the outside to force a slower DB to cover them.  If Ramsey switches off, then a lesser caliber DB will have to stop Evans over the middle.  Brady can get the right guy the ball.

Uh... Scotty Miller, Cyril Grayson, Justin Watson, Jalen Darden, Perriman... Iʻm having a hard time visualizing how the Bucs are going to outscore the Rams with this group of receivers without Fournette or Jones... Not your typical group of household names... Iʻve been trying, their stats donʻt impress me either.  My eyes tell me that Aaron Donald and his friends are way more formidable than the Eagles defense, so Iʻm taking the -3 points.

If Tampa wins, I'd rather play the Rams to have the home game.  If the Saints win, I want GB to win.  The Saints won't win in Green Bay.

If the Saints actually go to Green Bay, I can see the Saints using more Taysom Hill than Drew Brees... that game plan might be suited better against the Packers.

  3. Okay... fine... lose Swift for one week... letʻs look ahead to the Thursday Thanksgiving game... DOES HE HAVE ENOUGH TIME to complete the concussion protocol to play Thursday????

We can complain about missing Swift for one game... Iʻm more concerned about his availability for Thursday.

At this point, if you have Herbert and you don't have Murray, Mahomes or Wilson, he's pretty much set and forget.

If Herbert can get 275 yards and 2 TDʻs at Denver... I will officially consider him MATCHUP PROOF and just concentrate on TE and matching up RBʻs for the rest of the season.

DJ ended with 2 for 55. Solid.

I was really enjoying going against Gurley and his 2 points until a few late yards and a TD. He ended with 10. Guess I shouldn't be greedy.

Could have been worse... DJ could have pulled a SCOTTY MILLER and get you ZERO targets and ZERO points.

  6. Whatʻs interesting is the fact that they gave him 20 carries, being that they are primarily a passing team.  Thatʻs 20 carries, with a capable 3rd down/back up rb (Edmonds) right behind you.  Sure looks to me that Arizona appears committed to Drake and will keep feeding him the ball.  The last time he had 20 carries (against Washington), he averaged 4.3 yards a carry and even got 2 targets (just like this week).

Iʻm thinking that as they get closer to the playoffs and if they want to keep Kyler Murray healthy and on his feet, they will need a running game... and right now, the guy is Kendrick Drake.  And surprise, surprise... if the O line can somehow pop him a big enough hole, Drake will take it to the house and give you a GOOD fantasy game.  Sometimes, all he needs is that one pop.  I saw it happen a few times last year too.

  7. I have a similar dilemma... for my 2nd RB (ppr), I have Darwin Thompson (high ceiling and low floor), Bilal Powell (medium ceiling/floor), and Benny Snell (low ceiling / high floor).

I'm leaning towards Snell because I need a minimum of 10 fantasy points from this RB2 position to be competitive in my 1st round fantasy matchup.  Brad Evans (from Yahoo) seems to be giddy about Bilal Powell's matchup (against Miami) since he catches passes, so I imagine I "could" foresee a probable 12+ point performance.  But then on the other hand, Darwin Thompson could be the ONLY one of the 3 with the reach 20 points with his upside and dynamic offense (and since they MIGHT have to play from behind).

    1. Snell (I'm not going to take any chances)

    2. Bilal Powell (It just seems like the right situation)

    3. Darwin Thompson (Oh what the heck, I'm gonna pull the trigger)

  8. 3 things I've noticed:

    1. In the last 2 games, the best RB yardage has been 81 yards (McCoy).  In fact during week 2, the most productive RB (McCoy) attained 23 yards. My take - This offense is NOT featuring the running game as in past seasons.  I think the best you can hope for are RB receiving yards. Maybe...

    2. Baltimore ranks 1st in the NFL in Run Defense... giving up (get this) 20.5 yards a game.  But on the other side, they are ranked merely 18th in Pass Defense... giving up 254 yards a game... and 10 plays of 20+ yards.  Normally, this would mean a GREAT game by Mahomes and his receivers... but...

    3. Rotogrinders.com is reporting this... BAL @ KCC - "The best chance we have of seeing a downpour. Will be soaked before the game, with rain continuing in to it. Flash flood watch has been issued."   Which seems to indicate the possibility of a VERY UGLY GAME.

My take:  The BEST game script I can envision happening for Darwin Thompson is him garnering 40-60 yards rushing with a constant commitment to ball control, 5 to 6 screen passes leading up to 50 yards... and one touchdown.  This would be between 20 to 22 PPR fantasy points.  But that's ONLY if he gets 75% of the snaps.  If Shady is playing 50% of the snaps, Darwin may get 10 to 16 PPR points.

  9. I have the #4 pick in my ppr-12 man league and if Zeke falls to me at #4, I'm seriously considering Antonio Brown. Maybe Zeke will score a more consistent game to game PPR points average, but AB will have those MONSTER games that Zeke make not be able to elevate to. Not with that ailing offensive line. No way. Besides, Zeke plays against the Eagles twice and the NYG twice. NYG defense is improved.

Same situation I am in. I am really hoping the guys ahead of me don't hear about the line issues and still take Zeke. If I am left with Zeke I may go AB but I really wanted a stud RB there.

  10. I have the #4 pick too... I think you cannot go wrong with ANY of these 4 RB's... but in a PPR league, do you take one of the BIG 4 runningbacks or do you take WR Antonio Brown? There appears to be more depth at RB this year compared to last year.

So what's better at pick #4 (in a 12 man PPR league), Brown/Howard (RB) or Elliott/Mike Evans (WR)?

I'll be happy to pick at #4 and take whichever RB is still there out of Bell, Gurley, Johnson and Elliott.

  11. Although the Raiders may be able to hold NYG to 7 points, I don't see them causing turnovers. The Raiders defense have NOT been able to turn the ball over all year, so why hoping for something that has never happened. That may be 8 to 9 points for your fantasy defense, at best. On the other hand, a team like Baltimore (or maybe New Orleans) may give up 14 points, but they have the strong potential to get 3 to 5 sacks, 2 fumbles, 1 interception, and perhaps one defensive touchdown. That could get you between 9 and 20 defensive fantasy points.

  12. Damn, he just went UP to get that ball for his TD... almost similar to AJ Green when he first came to the NFL. According to combine data, AJ Green has a vertical jump of 34+ inches... Doctson has a vertical jump of 41 inches. Amazing.

Nonetheless, AJ flashes that leaping ability, body control, and his wide catch-radius almost every game. Doctson has it, but you only see a few glimpses of it... He and Cousins aren't quite on the same page yet, but one day.

  13. So far, the Redskins only giving up 3 points at the half with a few sacks... not too bad.

Can someone convince me why I should play Wash defense today v. gmen.

They only have 24 sacks....they have given up 18passing tds, and it appears you can now run against them if the last game against New Orleans means anything (I know, NO has the best OL in football)

I’m rethinking this now that TSmith is playing left tackle today for Dallas. He makes a huge difference.

  14. If it's PPR, I might go with Gordon... he may get over 12 targets and 10 short catches... that's 10 points right there. Throw in 50 yards receiving and 50 yards rushing and he's got 20 points... and he doesn't need to score.
