Who to start? Brees or Mariota?

Thanks guys! I'm not sure if this plays a factor, but I also have D. Murray, D. Henry, and Ryan Succop (K)... and I guess I'm leaning towards hedging my fantasy points in ONE game... Imagine if I start ALL my Titans and it somehow becomes a 7-3 game!
  2. 6 points per TD pass... My gut says that Mariota is going to have his best game statistically this season. New Orleans may jump to a lead and then ride Mark Ingram for the majority of the 2nd half, rendering Brees to manage the game and escape with a relatively low scoring win.

    Top buy low WRs

I agree that J Matthews is better than the results he's getting so far in Buffalo... but I think the real problem is Tyrod Taylor. Taylor couldn't do much with Sammy Watkins, who is far more talented than Matthews... and look at how Sammy Watkins is doing TODAY with Goff!
  4. 6 pts per TD pass... Who should I start? Pass-happy Drew Brees against a tough defense in the road (in a dome), or Marcus Mariota leading a running attack at home against the porous Raider defense. Thanks!

    Matt Ryan or Mariotta?

Moderate 8 MPH breeze to be blowing endzone to endzone in Chicago (may affect passes)... I think Atlanta will not air the ball out... I see 60% run / 40% pass. I'll pick Mariota (8 MPH cross breeze shouldn't affect passes that much), since Carr will force the scoring upwards, I think.

QB to start? Brees or Mariota?

HanRay... Please don't take this the wrong way... but you look great.

    Benjamin or Garçon?

Of the 2, Benjamin has the best chance to get 100 yards, 1 TD, and 5 receptions, equaling 21 points. Garcon may get 7 receptions, 100 yards, and no TD's, equaling 17points. Both are nice WR#2 type players, but I like Benjamin's upside. Besides, if he can break a tackle (which is very possible considering how strong he's gotten), he can go for 150 Yards.

Owning two position players from same team

Here's a crazy idea that might not be too crazy... my RB situation in my $ PPR league is very weak... so I'm starting Demarco Murray, Derrick Henry, and Marcos Mariota some weeks, especially week 1. By the way, I have Brees and I'm sitting him against Minnesota. Did I spell Marcos Mariota's name wrong? Sorry, I'm Filipino. LOL

if you had to pick one.....

Smallwood... you know, that Eagles offensive line is actually quite good.

Are there any Browns Homers here? Duke Johnson

Okay... so what about comparables? Who would you rather draft in PPR? Duke Johnson or Theo Riddick? Similar, but who is in a better situation?

    best Oline for Rushing

I've read this recently... and if that's the case, which of the RB runningbacks will be the beneficiary? Blount, Smallwood, or Sproles? Funny how you could have such a solid offensive line, yet not know who your starting runningback will be?

    LeVeon going to roll again?

    ... or a rock fight.
  14. They would be the perfect example of a BUBBLE TEAM... 18-12 record, but with an RPI of 10, with wins over Atlanta, Seattle, and Kansas City. Impressive... By the way, fantasywise, gotta love Jameis and Mike Evans... perfect fantasy stack.
  15. The ONLY thing KC has really going for them, the ONLY stat that pops out compared to other teams is the turnover margin... But do you really think KC has a monopoly on turnovers? Do you think forcing turnovers is a sustainable skill? Come on... Sooner or later, all that gambling on creating turnovers will allow you to miss a play or two, and it will be a BIG PLAY... Raiders love to create BIG PLAYS... Alex Smith doesn't know what a BIG PLAY is... his arm's too weak.
  16. "In the dirt" is right. You guys only win when the games get ugly, messy, muddy, and mistake-prone. Not impressed by "Mr. Check-down" Alex Smith, and by your sneaky coach "Throw the short slant" Andy Reid. The Chiefs win when turnovers are flying all over the place. Do you think that's sustainable? I'd rather have a team with a stud QB with a pro style arm, with pro style wide receivers, and on defense, a candidate for defensive player of the year. When KC beat the Raiders, Andy Reid was coming off a bye week. He's 16-2 after a bye week, showing he's a genius when he has MORE time. Wait, no bye week this week??? You mean he has LESS time? I wonder what his record is, coming of a SHORT week... LOL

    Dallas O Line

But it's no coincidence that their successes are largely due to the exceptional play of their offensive lines. Dallas, by far, the best run-blocking line, while Oakland arguably could have the best pass-blocking unit. Regardless, I consider their lines #1 and #2.

    Spencer Ware?

Spencer Ware posted a video on his Twitter... Now, I'm not a doctor or anything but he seems in very high spirits, he's holding his baby, he's joking with his family, and he is showing no visible effects from his concussion. None that I can see. https://twitter.com/spenceware11
  19. As a Raider fan, I can respect Romo and his great 2014 season, and I can appreciate Dak's current successes this year. Objectively, I'd like to throw some numbers out here... 1. Dallas ranks 2nd in the NFL in 3rd down conversion at 46.6%, only behind Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay. *This seems to indicate that Dallas' offensive success can also be attributed to Dak's ability to convert on 3rd down. And just for your information, Dallas is 100% in 4th down conversions... 4 for 4. http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/downs/sort/thirdDownConvPct 2. Dallas ranks 1st in the NFL in time of possession (tied with Philadelphia but the Eagles have played 1 less game)... at 33:08 minutes per game. *This seems to indicate that maybe one of the reasons why the Dallas defense is doing pretty well is because they're on the sidelines longer than all the other NFL defenses around the league. I really don't think that the Dallas defensive squad of 2016 is better than the Dallas defense of 2014. They're basically not giving up a lot of points... because they're not on the field most of the game, to give up points. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/average-time-of-possession-net-of-ot Oh, and by the way... even with all the offensive metrics pointing in favor at Tony Romo as the better quarterback, when healthy, that still doesn't discount the fact that this Dallas offense has developed great chemistry and a great offensive scheme that CAN succeed in the playoffs when the running game, time of possession, and 3rd down conversion makes a HUGH difference in determining success. The wins over Cincinnati and Green Bay convinced me that Dak Prescott has the pedigree to take this team to the playoffs, and even win in the playoffs. If Tony Romo comes back healthy in week 10, I'm not sure putting him as the starter is really in the best interest of the team. *Just my 2 cents.

    Cadet

For my flex, I need to choose between Cadet or Forsett tomorrow in my PPR... I can visualize Forsett getting more touches and more yards, but for some strange reason, I visualize Cadet turning a short screen pass into a TD in the 3rd quarter (I got this Darren Sproles flashback going in my mind)... Leaning towards Cadet... I'll sleep on it.

  23. THIS guy is the worst... we have one in our league... talks about how "unfair" the rules are...
  24. I'm hearing so much comparison between Tim Tebow and Lebron James... with Lebron good for 3 quarters while sucking during the 4th quarter... and Tebow sucking for 3 quarter, while heroic in the 4th... What I think is a more intriguing comparison is Tebow versus Cam... No one doubts Cam's QB skills, no one doubts Cam's statistical achievements, and no one seems to be worried about Cam's inability to win the game in the 4th quarter... *BUT THE TRUTH IS... Cam's 2-7 with loads of talent on offense... *AND THE TRUTH IS... Tebow's 4-1 as a starter and arguably invincible given the ball on the last drive to win the game for his team...
  25. njacinto

    Instead of Tebow versus Lebron

Actually... Tebow's stats last year as a starter match up quite well to Cam's this year, thank you... Last year as a starter, he did beat a Houston team that was trying to get into the playoffs in a very close game 24-23. In addition, Cam was groomed during training camp to be the starter... while Tebow has ALWAYS had to practice with the 2nd or 3rd stringers... Besides, he's had to endure training camp with everyone in management itching to drop him or trade him. Also, Cam's had great weapons around him on offense... What does Tebow have? Willis McGahee and Erick Decker? Lastly, the comparison is NOT about who I would take over whom (I've even said Cam is the PERFECT QB)... In fact, I agree with you that I WOULD take Cam in fantasy AND REAL football... My friend, the comparison (this thread is about) is over their performance this year to WIN their GAMES...
