  1. Is he worth a roster spot with guys like DeSean Jackson, M. Muhammad, & Chris Henry available? Also, does anyone know when he is expected back from his injury. I thought about picking up Jackson anyway & dropping my 2nd te Owen Daniels for him, But if Williams isnt going to be playing for a while I'll dump him instead.

Let me know your thoughts on this guy.

    Thanks!

  2. You don't deserve it is the problem. OSU is a 3 or 4 loss team in the SEC. I despise other conferences because of their ridiculous schedules. The Big 12 at least has a conference championship game but its a two team conference. Anyone who doesn't play Texas or Oklahoma has a joke schedule. And the unbalanced, no conference championship guys up north are the laughing stock of the nation. You play in the SEC you are required to play at a minimum if you are in the west- LSU, Auburn and a down Alabama team. In the east you are required to play Tennesee, Florida AND Georgia. All 5 of these teams (take out UA) would hand it to OSU.

One of the other posters mentioned something about tissues. Maybe you should ask them if you can borrow a few! I love reading all of these posts. Like a bunch of 8 yeard old girls! It's awesome!!!!! :overhead:

  3. Your's is really uninformed as well. Ready for the facts? Buckle up!

OSU has played 3 teams ranked at the time of the game:

    10/6 at #23 Purdue Won 23-7

    10/27 at #24 PSU Won 37-17

    11/17 at #23 UM Won 14-3

#19 Wisconsin was unranked when they played.

    Sparkling competition there! NOT!

Other games of note for OSU?

Youngstown St, Akron, and Kent St. Nice!

And, they lost to then unranked and now #15 Illinois.

    LSU???

They have played 7 teams ranked at the time of the game:

9/8 #9 VAT Won 48-7 YES! a 41 point win over BCS bound VAT! (this is a "weak" non-conference game?)

    9/22 #12 Won South Carolina 28-16

10/6 #9 UF Won 28-24 (the team that destroyed OSU last year)

10/13 at #17 UK Lost 37-34 in triple OT

    10/20 #18 Auburn Won 30-24

    11/3 at #17 Alabama Won 41-34

    12/1 #14 Tennessee Won 21-14

That is 6-1 against Top TWENTY opponents!

Other games of note for LSU?

Middle TN St, Tulane, and LA Tech

And they lost to unranked Arkansas 48-50 in triple OT.

Two losses by a total of 5 points in triple overtime.

Soooo, what's tougher? SEVEN games against top 20 teams or 3 games against teams ranked in the 20s?

Who cares????????????????????? Bucks are in the title game and LSU is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headbanger:

  4. I understand that the BCS is FAR from perfect. But did Hawaii ever get a chance to play in the national title game before the BCS? Even if there were a playoff system in place right now, Hawaii probably wouldn't be invited to it anyway.

    GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headbanger:

  5. Antonio Freeman (many good years with Favre)

    Shannon Sharpe (top notch te)

Joey Galloway (much more consistent back in the day. He was going in the 1st couple of rounds in many drafts)

    T. Davis (gave us a couple of great years in Denver)

Herman Moore (I know someone already mentioned him, but I couldn't resist)

    A. Green (put up great #'s in Green Bay for a few years)

Robert Brooks (Great target in Green Bay until he got hurt and couldn't play anymore)

Steve Young (awesome #'s for a qb)

Jerry Rice (don't really need to say much here)

Barry Sanders (may be a little over-rated "fantasy wise" but he did put up some monster games)

Emmit Smith (surprised nobody mentioned this guy)

Michael Irvin (while Troy's #'s weren't good "fantasy wise" Michael put up some stats)

Randall Cunningham (helped me win some of my leagues)

I better stop cause I could be at this all day. GREAT POST!!! Sure beats most of the other threads where there's not much more than a bunch of girls bashing each other!

  6. Kinda like the Cooper yrs for us...trust me...we won't miss him!!!!

That sucks that he's going to be remembered for his losses to OSU and his recent losses in Bowl Games. Carr is a good coach. The guy won a lot of games, National Title, etc. It's a shame too many people forget about that.

  7. Yeah, I have to agree with the others. I think if you have to trade him, you should be able to get more. I have Peterson, and he is hit or miss. Runningbacks are at a premium and you have the best in the league. His overall stats might not reflect that right now, but he has been coming on. Keep him if you can. Try to work the ww for a serviceable qb depending on matchups each week.

  8. Vardaski & Flahawker, THANK YOU!

Thanks to the both of you for your insight. It's a whole lot better getting intelligent responses than getting bashed. I don't think that some of the other douche bags that respond by telling me I should be punched in the face is really much help!

    Thanks again!

  9. What is the trade you keep referring to?

I was thinking about giving up Reggie Wayne for Dallas Clark. I know it sounds crazy. Save your bashing! But, I did look up their stats and Dallas has one more td than Wayne and about 280 less yards. In my leagues scoring, that comes out to only be about 3 points difference each week. I REALLY NEED a tightend, so I was looking at this as a possibility.

When comparing a tightend to a top notch wr, you'd think Wayne's stats would be a whole lot better than Clarks. I would have expected a larger gap!

  10. Okay here goes: Your a focking retard if you do this trade and you should have someone come to your house and punch you in the face in front of your wife and kids.

I dont know if thats the insight you are looking for, but I dont know if there is any other "insight" out there that would somehow justify doing this trade.

I mean honestly, if you cant figure out this one, then I would probably fold the team and just wait until next year.

I started this thread by asking what are your thoughts on Evans, Ward, Engram, and Vernon? Forget the trade. I didn't ask for your APPROVAL for the trade. That would be for the help board. How about some comments on those players?

  11. I dont know how you get in a league where people are honestly considering trading Reggie Wayne for Dallas Clark, but dammit, I want in one. Badly.

Thanks for your insight! You've offered an enormous amount of help! I know Wayne is a much better player than Clark, and worth a heck of a lot more. But, I need help at tight end. I may not even make the trade. I can still pick up these guys I mentioned above without making the trade.

If you decide to reply again, how about answering the question?

  12. Probably some dart throwing, but I need a tight end.

    Check this out:

Ward's first 5 or 6 games hardly anything. But, his last 2 he caught 7 for 78 yards and 8 for 88 yards and a td. Has been hurt? Will the upward trend continue? Next 5 games Baltimore, Browns, Jets, Miami, Cincy

Evans is almost the same exact situation. Last 2 games 5 for 98 and 5 for 138 and a td. Next 5 games Cincy, Miami, Pats, Jags, and Wash.

Engram has been a little more consistent. Next 5 games Browns, SF, Chi, Rams, & Philly. Does the return of Branch hurt him?

  13. My question is what are your thoughts on Lee Evans, Hines Ward, & Bobby Engram?

And what are your thoughts on the following tightends: Vernon Davis, Desmond Clark, and Owen Daniels. I want to drop two of them to pick up a couple of the wr's I mentioned above. All of these te's suck, but which one do you think will suck the least?

    Thank you!
