  1. You mentioned you guys have always drafted at this time of the year? WHY??? I know it can be difficult to get everybody together for a live draft, but more than 4 months before the season starts. That's unbelievable! So many teams still have players fighting for starting positions. Not to mention the injuries that WILL happen in training camp. I would leave that league or find another one to join as well. Are the magazines even out yet?

  2. With all the people on this site, I thought I would have had more repsonses. I guess fewer of you use an auction draft than I would have predicted. 70 some looks at this post and only a few responses. I could really use some more insight. Any other guys want to chime in? Or does anyone have a link that would help me out?

  3. Auction Style - REAL Fantasy players

Snake Style - Something to do with a few friends, and it helps the lesser players compete.

Portis, I think you read my question wrong. I didn't ask which way is better. I asked how to structure. Since you have such a strong opinion on this, then how about giving me some insight on how to structure with keepers.

  4. I have been running a 10 team 2 player keeper league for the last 12 or 13 years. We have always used the snake draft method, but I have always wanted to switch to an auction style draft. I did one in another league and absolutely loved it. My problem is how do I do an auction with having keepers? Currently, we give up the corresponding draft pick for our keepers. Example: I drafted Alexander in the first and Mcgahee in the 5th. So each year, I lose my 1st and 5th round picks. We only keep guys for 3 years and then we have to throw them back in the draft pool. How do you guys do this, or is it even possible? I'd like to hear as many comments as possible.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. Wow, a lot of you guys seem to think the priest is done! You think he's just going to ride off into the sunset or something? If the KC front office has anything to do with it :first: , I'm quite sure they'd like to see him do fairly well so that they may trade him for some good value. Just cause LJ put up his monster stats, don't think Priest isn't going to get some carries. I don't have a clue who his the ABSOLUTE number one pick right now. It's only May 9th. We have a long time to go before the season starts. DON'T be surprised if LJ isn't the stat monster most everyone on this thread believes. You can't cut Priest out yet! Just my thoughts.

  6. I am in a 10-team 2 player keeper league. My other keeper is Alexander. You have to give up the draft pick in which you originally drafted the player, so Mcgahee only costs me a 5th round pick. Last year he pretty much sucked for me. Anybody have any thoughts if they think the bills offense will be any more productive this year? I'm thinking about not keeping him and maybe look at another player instead. After seeing most of their draft devoted towards defense and losing Moulds for Price, I'm just not sure if they are going to be any better offensively.

  7. Hawk is in no way worth the #5 pick.

You don't take a guy at #5, and pay him the coresponding contract, when he won't even be on the field on third downs. That is not getting vaule from the pick. If last year taught us anything, Thompson stays true t o his board, If one of the Big Three QBs make it to #5, he'll take one. If Ferguson slips, he'll take it. If he gets an amazing offer from someone looking to trade up, he'll pull t he trigger. And yes, if Davis is there, I think he takes him in a heartbeat. The WCO can be devestating with two good TEs, as we saw with Jackson/Chmura. On top of all this, a miracle could happen and Williams could slip to 5.

Any of these could happen, and I would be happy. But taking Hawk just doesn't make any sense to me.

Why do you think Hawk isn't a 3rd down guy? I have watched all of his college games and he's been terrific in passing situations. The guy can do it all. He can be a marquee player for years to come. From what I've heard, the Pack is really hurting at linebacker

  8. I don't start him because I have better options than a guy playing against one of the best pass D's in the league with a 12 year veteran that has only started a few games in his career at QB... It's pretty simple..

    DITTO!!!
