    How did I draft?

Yeah, I got so hung up on adding depth at RB that I forgot I needed a QB And the guy that drafted before me in the 8th round snagged Kitna, who I really wanted at that point. As for the 14-team league, every team is thin at some position. There are just too many teams for the player pool, and the franchising really limits what you can do in the 1st round. Thanks for the input.
  2. I agree with joeunleaded. If you can package a WR/RB to upgrade at RB, your team will go deep in the playoffs. I had to draft 9th out of 14th in a keeper league, so I went heavy on WRs as well. Glad to see it worked out well for you. Check out my draft and let me know how I did…

    12 teamer 10th pick

I agree with Candygram. Your first picks were solid. Tough luck having to opt for Fargas instead of R. Williams. But then again, he's only one of several bye-week guys, so it shouldn't be an issue unless Portis and Jacobs both go down with injuries. Good job in the 10-spot. Check out my draft and let me know how I did…

My team: Praise it or Trash it.

I think Romo and Winslow are definite studs on your team, and everyone else is pretty solid. I especially think Portis is poised for a great year, if Campbell can step up his game and lead the offense. Plus, as it was said before, you have some good trade bait if you want to upgrade your receivers, which unfortunately you're lacking in depth, especially with Marshall's suspension to begin the season. Good luck. Check out my draft and let me know how I did…

    Custom Avatars

I need to know how to upload a custom avatar? When I get to my control page, it doesn't give me a button to choose an avatar or a space to enter a URL. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. (And apologies if the answer is somewhere in plain sight and I haven't seen it yet.)

    Trade Questions

So I'm in the market for another receiver to bolster my corps for the playoff run (I'm currently 7-1, and playoffs start in Week 14). I offered one of my friends a 6th round draft pick next year for Joey Galloway, who's been pretty consistent and has a favourable remainder of the season. Who of the following should I give up if the trade goes through: Javon Walker Vincent Jackson Andre Davis I initially offered him Jackson, but then I realized TB and HOU have the same bye week, which would leave me sans a receiver for the week (we start three). I could give him Walker, but if he gets better in time for the playoffs, I could lose out. If I give him Davis, it would be a wash for that bye week, and I'd still have Jackson as a WR3. What do y'all think? Also, what would be fair for either Housh or Chad Johnson? Is a 4th too low? Would I get laughed out of the trade box? I don't know if it's worth giving up a 3rd next year since I have two pretty good WRs in Hines and Braylon. Any help would be appreciated. And of course, I'll offer any help I can. Thanks in advance.

Shaun Alexander trade, Will he turn it around!

I have a lot more faith in SA than Benson, and I think Chicago's faithful would say the same. Do the trade. You're winning out at all ends (even with the Colts D/ST -- just don't start them next week Good luck. Now, maybe you can help me out…

    A good problem to have...

I would start KJ, Bush and MJD. Alexander has a favourable matchup in CLE, but I see SEA airing it out a lot more, plus it'll probably be a shootout, so no grinding the clock with a big lead for SEA. NO is red hot now. The offense is clicking, so Bush will get more than his fair share of opportunities, even against a defense like JAX. As for MJD, JAX is a good running team, and against NO, that spells "start me" for MJD. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out…

Desperate at QB: Trade Jennings for Kitna

You might have to package Jennings with someone else to get Kitna. If I knew who else you had on your roster, I could help out more. I don't think you could afford to give up Jennings and another WR. See if you can put up the rest of your roster (as well as the other team's) so I can gauge what he might want/need. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out…

Which defense do I add/start for week 9?

I'd go with either GB or SEA. None of the other matchups are favourable. And, if nothing else, it's just a bye-week DEF. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out…
  11. As a Ward owner, I would give him the nod (plus, as a Steeler fan, I've always been partial to him). But, Holmes has more upside as a long yardage playmaker. Plus, with Ward's history of injury (slight as it is), Holmes might be better for the playoff run. If you want safe, go with Ward. If you want the risk/reward, Holmes is the guy. Me, I always go with consistency. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out…

    It's Monday again

What he said. If WAS's players are somewhat healthy, start them. Hell, they're playing the Jets. I don't think you'll have to worry. If you can't get them, pick up ARI. If anything, they're good for a few sacks. Good luck. Now, maybe you can help me out…

    Wes Welker trade

I don't know. Welker has been a Reggie Wayne-type monster this season, with everyone keying in on Moss. And I'd be hesitant to tell anyone to sell any NE players (except maybe Stallworth). I'd nix it unless he sweetened the deal with a draft pick. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out…

    Trade...Good Or Bad?

Go for it. You'll definitely be benefiting your team with this trade at all positions, even with the slight hit at WR. Nice work. Now, maybe you can help me out…

    Colston for Favrah

If you meant you need stability at the QB position, then yes, Favre for Colston would work. You already have some better than decent receivers, so Favre would more than compensate for the loss of Colston. Go for it! Now, , maybe you can help me out…

    Kenton Keith

So news has broken that Indy's Kenton Keith will be getting 10-15 touches a game. He's still on the waiver wire right now. My dliemma: I have both my starting RBs on bye. I have DeShaun Foster replacing one, but then I have lowly Vince Jackson as a flex. Do I drop Jackson and pick up Keith? Is it worth it for the one week? For the duration of the season? Is Jackson worth keeping now that Chambers in in SD? My WR depth would take a hit, since Javon Walker's out for another 6 weeks or so. Bear in mind that I also have my starting QB on the bye, so I'm already in a hole for this week. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Trade Help

No. I don't see Garcia doing any better than the QBs you have. And giving up MBIII for Jones would be a crime. Personally, I don't see what you would gain with this. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out...

    Who to drop for Crayton?

Yeah, it would help if we knew what your depth was at RB and WR. Without that info, I'd drop Colston. RBs are a lot more valuable. And I think Crayton's situation is a lot more favourable than Colston's, so you'd be better off. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out...

    lineup help -wk 8

I would go with Cutler. He's coming off a big win and GB has given up 7 TDs in their last four games. (Incidentally I'm starting him too, but only because Hass has a bye week.) If Jackson is a lock to start, I might use him, although that O-line is horrendous. If you want to play it safe, go with Keith. Indy will have no trouble moving the ball against CAR, and Keith will probably get a lot of garbage time like he did against JAX. Good luck. And thanks for answering mine.

Trade - MBIII for Driver & A. Green

My league has Barber averaging 13 pts per game. Green is nowhere near that and I think it's worth it to give up Driver since you're stacked at WR otherwise. In fact, I'd give up Driver before Curtis since GB has more options to throw to and Curtis is far and away the #1 WR option for McNabb. I say pull the trigger. Hope that helps. And thanks for answering mine.

    Trade help

So, I've got a bit of a dilemna in Week 8, where my two main RBs Edgerrin James and Willis McGahee both have a bye, and rather than scramble and try to patch up the hole with shitty waiver pickups, I figure I'd try to get a trade going beforehand. Here's what I proposed: Willis McGahee and Vincent Jackson for Brandon Jacobs and Donald Driver. The guy I'd be trading with would get a decent upgrade at the RB position and only a slight drop at the WR position -- Jackson is only 7 FPts behind Driver and the SD offense is picking things up. The guy also has Chad Johnson, but I don't think he'd let him go. Do you think I should pull the trigger on this? Or should I just stay pat and tough it out for that one week? Keep in mind that my QB and kicker wil also be on the bye and I'll have enough trouble trying to fix that problem. Help me out and I'll try to help you out. Thanks.

    Edge/San Diego DST v. Graham/Patriots DST

I'd do it. I like Edge and the ARI offense more. You give up a bit in the D/ST dept., but they're hit or miss every week anyway. Go for it. Hope that helps. Now, maybe you can help me out...

Bye Week TE - Which WR to drop

D'oh! FF in the workplace messes up my brain. But yeah, I'd keep Curtis over Welker.

    Trade help

My record is 5-0. Silly to be worried about one week, I know, but I want to make sure I have the best chance to go to the playoffs. Plus, my team has benefitted more from the bad luck of others than the overall strength of its players. I may just ride the bye week and let the chips fall where they may. But please, don't stop with the advice. Thanks to one and all.
