Players stashed for later in season

On my team...I have Doug Gabriel, Greg Jennings and Joseph Addai stashed away for the 2nd half of the season..
  2. I'm in a league that starts 2 RB's and also a flex. I have 4 RB's on my team: (Ronnie Brown, Willis McGahee, Willie Parker, and Joseph Addai) For a second, I was thinking about benching Willie Parker this week..since he's going up against JAX in Jacksonville, and starting Joseph Addai, since he's going up against a pourous Texans team in Indianapolis. What are your thoughts?

    Beware Willie Parker owners

I'm not worried about Najeh at all. I'm in favor of him being the short yardage back. As long as the move doesn't hampers Willie's opportunities near the goaline, then I'm fine! It'll keep Willie fresh and more effective.
  4. If you are looking at it clearly by averages, then yes, your right. Joseph Addai was the more productive back. Even though he only had 7 carries...he had 26 yds. He also caught some good passes out the backfield. I currently have him as my 4th running back on the team. I'm for certain that he'll be the starter at one point during this season..
  5. tell me about it..I'm currently working on that feverishly as we speak. You say that I should go with the #1 WR in Jax. The thing with that is...I still don't know who's the #1 WR. At first, they were saying Wilford. Now they are saying Matt Jones. And to be honest, I'm not too sold on Leftwich just yet. One thing that I do know about Brett Favre is that he's had alot of high passing yardage games against that Chicago defense...including last year's 2 games....(I believe they were 277yds and 316 respectively). And he did that working with a very suspect recieving corp. But Greg Jennings...he's better than any 2nd WR's GB had last year. I don't know. I'm torn.
  6. Greg Jennings against that Chicago Defense. Why? Well for starters...GB and CHI engulfed in a big rivarly. Although this team doesn't resemble any of the good teams GB has had in the past, the one thing that I cannot ignore is the fact that Brett Favre is a gun slinger. He's always had some big yardage games against Chicago. Although he has also had alot of interceptions thrown too..but who cares? Brett's not on my team. It's either going to be a good productive game for both teams in which both offenses will be heavily involved, or it'll be a blow out for GB and Brett will be playing some catchup football...leading to more passing oppotunities for GB wide recievers.. Am I delusional with my choice? Or is it a legitimate gamble? Are any of you guys going with Jennings too?
  7. Well right now...I'm definately starting Larry Fitzgerald and and Andre Johnson. My choices that I have at the 3rd wideout spot is Greg Jennings who's going against Chicago at home, Ernest Wilford @home vs. Dallas, Troy Williamson @Washington, and Doug Gabriel vs. Buffalo...
  8. Williamson - is going up against the Washington Defense. The good about him is that Shawn Springs isn't playing. The bad that they are playing in Washington.. Jennings - With him...I can't avoid the hype about this kid. I mean...It's legitimate hype. The good about him is that his QB is a gunslinger. Another good about him is that he's a starter opposite Donald Driver. Another good about him is that he playing on a poor team who'll be playing a lot of catch up football which means there should be more passing opportunities for him. Another good is..he'll be playing in GB. The bad is...his QB is a gunslinger. And another bad is he is playing against the Chicago Bears. Wilford - I personally feel that he's the biggest question mark. He's a good RZ WR. He's healthy, and his QB is healthy. Another good is that they'll be playing at home. The bad is he's going up against a very solid Dallas Cowboy secondary. He's had a quiet preseason. I really don't know what to expect..especially with talks from Jacksonville saying that Matt Jones is emerging as the #1 wideout out there. What are your take fellas? Please..leave some of your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas. I'll gladly respond to any questions you may have..

    bulger kitna brees

Bulger! No ifs ands or buts! I don't buy into all that "run oriented talk" when you have a pro bowler QB and a stud WR (Torry Holt) on the team.. Help me with mines.. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230406

WSIS at WR3--Back and forth on this one

Evans!! If Buffalo has any hope the season, it's going to ride on the legs of both Lee Evans and Willis McGahee. I don't fully trust Wilford against that Dallas secondary. And I have Wilford on my team too! Help me with mines.. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230406
  11. yeah...I agree with the consensus pick. Andre Johnson is your better and safer pick. The Eagles secondary may be good...but the fell off...BIG TIME last year. And they are working with the same personnel. Braylon has to show me that he can operate full time on the surgically repaired knee before he warrants any serious consideration as a fantasy starter.. Please help me with mines.. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230406

I have LJ in a money league...who should I trade him for

are all of these offers legit? I mean...did GM's in your league really propose these to you are these are just possible scenarios you drew up? Me personally....I feel the safest offer would be the Ronnie Brown and Fitz for LJ. That's what I do.. However, if another GM has already offered you Chad Johnson for Frank Gore...then without question, to jump on that that! Please help me with mines.. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230406

Who has the better matchup this week?

The better play without question is Kurt Warner going up against that weak SF defense. However, it's a fantasy law that you are never to bench Peyton Manning..

    Early Ronnie Brown manlove.

That's what i'm saying. Out of the 16 games that he has, he'll probably run into 2-3 games in which he may struggle. Yesterday's game was one of them....and he still managed to get me 18 points!!

    Early Ronnie Brown manlove.

He played every down because half of the time, he was used as a blocker for Culpepper. From what I saw yesterday, Ronnie looked excellent in pass protection!! That will keep him on the field at all times! I don't feel as if Ronnie was over used yesterday. One of you guys mentioned that Ronnie wasn't used that much in the 2nd half. Pittsburgh neutralized that Miami run game. They had choice really...although Ronnie was running a little bit better when he did get the opportunity in the 2nd half. But looking at him yesterday, I'm very optimistic about his chances. He was used in basically every situation. To get some receptions in the redzone/goaline...that's definately a plus. If he doesn't run it in, he can always catch it in the endzone...that's another incentive!

    Ronnie Brown Predictions

Relax guys. It's just one game. If you ask me, I think Ronnie Brown did well despite having limited opportunities due to that Pittsburgh D. He ran hard..which is exactly what you want from your back. As bad as a game that Ronnie had..he still managed to deliver 18 pts! That's not fools good right there. That Pittsburgh defense is the hardest and was the hardest defense he'll face the entire season. Pay attention to Ronnie over the next 3 weeks. Then come back and pop smack about him.. FWP was excellent tonight! He still has the elusive speed and quickness...and now, he's added that toughness and a lil bit of strength to his game. I'm absolutely estatic right now due to the fact that I have both Ronnie and FWP on my team..and both of them were in my starting lineup. I'm up 30 pts already. I love this game!!!

    ***Official COLTS vs GIANTS Thread***

Yeah...I expect the QB's to have a great game...especially Peyton. With him going against that Giant D, there's a strong chance that they won't be able to run at all against them. It's going to force Peyton to go with the aerial attack for the majority of the game. That's good news for Peyton, Marvin, and Reggie owners..

    Which Two WR's ...

    Fitz and Chambers
  19. BigMek

    Greg Jennings

You got the rookie going against the Chicago defense? Please...explain your situation. I'm in a similar predicament. I have him as well and I'm ponder on whether I should start him, Ernest Wilford or Troy Williamson as my 3rd WR.
  20. BigMek

    Javon Walker or Drew Bennett

You gotta go with Walker. I'm sure Denver will be a little more aggressive with the passing attack than in recent years. Rod Smith is falling off a little bit this year. Tenn has a funny situation. Their quarterbacks are suspect at this moment. You ask me, I think the primary beneficiary in the Tenn. passing attack will be their tight end, Ben Troupe...not Bennett..

Greg Jennings Starter in Green Bay

I sware! That's the same exact thing I did!!
  22. BigMek

    BEN WATSON

i like this projection the best. Given the fact that Ben should more than likely be the #1 recieving option out there in NE, those numbers are definately achievable. I honest believe that he'll end up being the Antonio Gates of 2006.
  23. BigMek

Pats acquire Doug Gabriel from Raiders

well...i'm crossing my fingers that Branch does end up being traded. It just makes Gabriel a more sexier pic now that he'll be the #1 or #2 recieving option for Tom Brady..
  24. BigMek

    Lundy or M. Bell?

You know...in hindsight, I would say that you can go either way since both backs will be playing in similar systems. But if I were forced to choose, I'm leaning towards Mike Bell. Throughout the pre-season, I've heard that Mike Bell is the real deal..the best back in Denver since Terrell Davis. I see him getting the bulk of the carries in Denver and Tatum coming in occasionally to fill in. Over there in Houston, despite the fact that Lundy is the #1 back, I think in Houston, it'll be more of a RBBC..
