PPR Redraft Champions (or people that were close)
DrGonzo replied to RamslovaMartzhata's topic in FFToday Board
I intend to go WR/WR in the 7th spot assuming no WRs go 1-6. My league notoriously drafts RB-RB. So I hope to get Fitz and the AJ or Moss but I don't know if that will happen. Then it's RB and RB and then TE or QB we will see.... If those guys are gone I will draft the best available from my top 100 sheet and continue that way. -
That seems impossible. Where did you pick? Had to be top 5 to get turner i would imagine. I can maybe see getting AJ on the turn if there was a run on backs but if so how did SJAX and Grant fall?

Each year there is at least 2 or 3 huge busts in the 1st 10 picks

i would do that too but u shoulod have asked for a 4th rounder -
Hey Monk - any hope for the Skins offense this season? How I long for the days of Monk in the corner....

all good points but playing matchups before the draft? man you are a stat geek!

i love him in PPR leagues and would take him over anybody but AP, MJD and Forte
-
I think the value of those guys listed goes up a bit, but with #1 overall I think you simply have 2 choices, AP or AP. No one can blame you for picking the guy and I'm not sure you want to pass on him in the hope that somebody else catches a ton of balls. Last year Matt Forte had the most catches and Targets of any running back. To me targets are more important in estimating stats. Especially for TE's - redzone targets especially is something to look at for those guys. MJD had the most yards and westbrook and sproles had the most TDs with forte a close second with 4. That said peterson had like 20 catches but he also had 500 more yards than forte. of course forte should improve on his yards this year. So all in all you can't go wrong picking AP, but if you want another choice, I think it is Forte. Hope that helps

use the compiler - works great

Thanks Mike. I just followed your instructions and it worked perfectly (after a fat finger cut and paste that had me baffled for a few minutes) Anyway this is a great way to setup the buddy for a combo draft like this. In the compiler I put in the number of starters at each position and backups that I plan to draft within the first 10 rounds just like you suggested. Example: 2 QBs 3 RBS, 4 WRS (we start 1 RB and 3 WRs for some reason in this league) 1 TE. for a total of 10 players. I left all other positions and spots at 0. This way i now have relevant values for those players that will be drafted by auction. Thanks so much, I'm all set now. Patrick

So one of my auction leagues has a bunch of newbies so we are only doing auction for the 1st 10 rounds with a 200 dollar cap. There are a total of 20 rounds (i didn't make the rules) The remaining 10 will be a standard snake draft. So in setup I assume I should put that the draft length is 10 rounds and max roster size is 20? since we spend all of our money in 10? Thanks. BTW I have been using the compiler for 5 years now - it absolutely rocks. Love it.

Sjax in the first at 7? He would be hard to pass up but its still more of a risk than a AJ or Ftiz, I think. Because look where you stand in the second - you took Sjax in the first so now you feel like you have to pick a WR, say you get jennings. Now you have a middle tier RB and a middle tier WR who of course both could pan out, but I would be more comfortable with the scoring of AJ and Jennings than Sjax and Jennings. I think the rule you have to live by is stick with your strategy in the first 4 rounds. If you change in the 1st then you are scrambling and second guessing the rest of the draft.
-
With the 6th pick the running backs won't be top tier unfortunately. It seems odd that people still force themselves to draft a RB in the first round even when picking in the middle. Why not pick the best WR in fantasy? He will outscore any of those running backs you list and moreover you are now ahead of the rest of the pack who will reconsider going RB-RB because you have snagged a WR "early." This leaves you a RB you thought you may not get in the 2nd round. Or (even better I think) if they don't start a wr run, you can get another top WR and proceed to outscore all the chuckle heads who insisted on going RB-RB because they yearn for the days of Terrell Davis and Jamal Anderson. With al the depth at RB, and the RBBC teams there is plenty to go around, but WRs who get targeted 15 times a game are few and far between. Oh and you are playing in a PPR league? Who gets more catches this year you think? Fitz or one of those "top" running backs you have targeted?

Olsen Twins Sandwich - always a classic

Him not to get 36 points out of akers... stranger things have happened.

What do you guys think? Thinking of going with S Moss. Not sure Griese will light it up.
-
Need help with a flex spot - do I go with Warrick Dunn @ATL or Antonio Bryant @ ATL or Santana Moss @ Cincy. I am leaning towards Bryant cause he has been putting up monster numbers. As for TE? ugh. drafted Winslow - now I am stuck choosing between Greg Olsen vs NO or Vernon Davis against the fins.... yuck. Olsen? Leave a link.

Man I need some help with my lineup this week!
DrGonzo replied to scasarano's topic in A Little Help!
Uh Reggie Bush man. Sit Thomas. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=335964 -
Tough call here but Jacobs may not even play and you can't risk that in the playoffs. I think you have to pick up Thomas and start him. Even with Bush back, he still gets his carries around the goal line. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=335964

I would go with steven jackson man. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=335964
