    ***Official*** Jets vs Chargers Thread

I'm stuck on a boat in the middle of the Artic...no TV. Was just going to ask about Gates, but I see he just scored. Have they been saying anything about him? Is his toe acting up? Are they limiting him?

    Waiver Wire Help (I'm 0-2)

If you were in my league, I'd say DROP Palmer...but, I'm not, so don't overreact, still lots of football left. Maybe Henry's return might open something up for them in week 5. Having said that, their O-line is BAD. I just dropped Mendenhall for T. Sheffler yesterday...he hasn't shown he's the "Bettis" type back as yet. He might need a while longer to gain that title. I thought PatteRn was going to pick it up after the Colston injury, something to watch this week.

Who to Start - Week 3

I'm back for some more advice...thanks for the help last week...you all helped me make the right decision. PPR, 6 points for TD, 1 point per 20 yards rushing/rec'ing. Have to choose 2 from: Steven Jackson - against Seattle Lynch - against Oakland Turner - against KC I am a big believer in the never bench your studs theory, but this week I feel might be the exception. I see Jackson having a good week, but Lynch and Turner's ceiling are so high against these defenses, that I have a hard time benching either of them. Thoughts?

    Which #3 WR to start?

I'm gonna say Holt. I see him having better numbers than Fitz this week even. He was historically had great success against the Seahawks. Then Gonzalez, Welker and Johnson. PLease see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324773

    Week 3, Turner or Portis?

I'd go with Turner for sure. I'm starting him over S. Jackson this week. See here: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3730134 Turner's ceiling is so high this week, he has a chance to be the top producer like he did in week 1 against the Lions. One weel to bench your stud.

Who to Start - Week 3

Looks like the majority is with me in benching Jackson. I think it's a win, win, win situation. 3 backs with favorable matchups...I see the Rams offense close to what the 49'ers is, so I see them doing well this weekend, but with the great matchups Lynch and Turner have, they could go off. My luck though, Jackson runs for 140 and 2 TD's and catches 8 for 70 and score.

    Kitna or Warner?

I think in the long run, Warner has more value, but if you are talking this week, Kitna has to start playing SF. An issue I see, is if the Lions continue to loose, how long will they keep playing the ol' man Kitna? At some point don't they have to start looking to the future...OH, I guess it is Matt Millen we are talking about here.

Jacobs & T Jones for a top QB?

I agree, you're giving up a lot for Cutler...but having said that, how's your RB depth? Do you have 2 other quality RB's to start? I think you do need to give Anderson some time, although I didn't go near any Browns at their ADP's. I saw a big letdown from last year. Maybe when B. Edwards gets going, he might take the whole offense with him. Cutler has shown he's the real deal.

    WR#2/3 help

I see Royal as the must start...Denber has come out on fire, and NO hasn't shown the ability to stop anyone. They made Washington look good last week. The other would be Driver for me...I think GB-vs-Dallas will be another shootout like the Monday nighter. I wasn't liking any of the Packers players at the beginning of the year, but now I am kicking myself. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324773

"always play your studs". how long is "always"?

I'm also a firm believer of never bench your studs, but.......this week might be an exception for me. I have S.Jax against Sea (keeper), Lynch against Oak and Turner against KC. Last week, I beat myself up on who to bench; having Turner go off while on my bench the week before, but I stuck to my studs and benefitted. This week however, I think I might have to bench Jackson. I think he will have a solid day, but Lynch and Turner have such a high ceiling, that I have to start them.
  11. I'd go with Jackson. He looks like the real deal and with Philly's depleted WR corps, McNabb will be looking his way...his new safe guy. Having said that, as some others have said, I like Patten too. 3rd highest targetted in a NO's offense that throws a ton. Got some good options.

    Who to Start?

PPR, TD's worth 6, 20 yds rushing or rec'ing 1 point. Jackson - against the Giants. See him rebounding after last week. They vow to get him more involved in the offense. Is a stud...gotta start him. Hoping for 80 yds rushing with a TD and 5 catches for 40. (17 points) Turner - against TB. Rookie QB, will run him a lot. TB is obviously stronger than the Lions, but I still see 100/1 and 2 catches for 12 yds. (13 points) Lynch - against Jax. Jax will try to save face after a bad loss last week to Tenn. Think there D steps it up at home. See 70 rushing with 2 catches for 18, questionable TD. (5 or 11 points) Thinking I will go with Jackson and Turner? Suggestions?

    Who to Start?

So I see why my decision is so difficult. Half like Jackson and Lynch, while the other half like Jackson and Turner. Is it possibly a wash between Lynch and Turner? Will either one be OK for me to start? Who do you think has the highest upside?
  14. triple_f

    Chris johnson

If I really want to pick up Johnson, I would drop S. Young. You never know what you're gonna get from Shanahan. Look what happened with Young against one of the worst teams in the league. He was lucky to get a TD to help anyone that did start him.

Who to start at flex position?

I gotta go with Johnson too...huge upside for him in this game. Roy will probably have a good game too, so it'll be win win, but Johnson's upside is too good to bench for Roy. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323665

    Need 1

Is it PPR? If so, go with MJD...if not, go with TJ. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323665

Start 2 of these four PPR League

I'd go MJD and Driver. GB will throw all day against the lowly Lions and Jax are sure to get MJD more involved this week. I see MJD getting 5+ catches this week. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323665

    Patten or S.Rice...

I'd go with PatteRn...Finished with the third most receptions after Colston and Bush last year...Brees will look for him. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323665

    Which RB this week?

I'm kinda in the same boat, I can start 2 out of Jackson, Turner and Lynch. But out of Turner and Jackson, I would have to go with Jackson. He's a stud! Sure Turner had a great week last week against the Lions, and is hard to bench, but I think Jackson will be OK this week. NY can be run on, and he will want to prove his worth. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323665

    Week 2

Calvin for Coles...done I would consider Kitna over Favre. Favre will air it out, but NE's D has a chance to step it up big time against the Jets. We all know the history, and with Brady out, they might have extra motivation. Kitna will have lots of fun in garbage time when GB has wrapped up the game. I like GB's D/st over Philly. GB will give up some points in the end, but you get more points for turnovers, so stick with them. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323665

    sit Steven Jackson this weekend?

I agree...I have had Jackson as a keeper the past 2 years, I think he will help me win my league this year, however, I am afraid to start him this week. He did sit out 75% of the preseason, and the Rams looked terrible last week. The Giant's did give up 85 yards to Portis last week, but I have Lynch and Turner to start. I see them getting 80 yds and a TD at least, while I am not so sure Jackson finds the endzone.

    Trufant's Injury

How bad is Trufant's hand injury? Will it severely limit him this weekend and moving forward? Will it take away from int's and punt returns?

    Colston Owner

I drafted Colston with huge aspirations...INJURED. I have the worst luck when it comes to injuries. I am in a one keeper, PPR, TD's worth 6, 20 yards rushing or rec'ing worth 1. Last year kept Jackson, then drafted Harrison in the first and Andre Johnson in the 3th. Needless to say, I didn't make the playoffs. Anyways....boohoo...waaaeeewaaaaaeeee We have a very short bench in our league, only 2 spots. We start 1 QB, 2 RB and 3 WR/TE. Kept Jackson again, drafted Lynch, Colston, Witten, McNabb (QB's went quick), Bowe, Turner and S. Moss. I have to keep my 3 RB's for sure, so that's one bench spot, and not dropping Colston, so I have no room. I am considering if I should snatch Galloway off the WW and drop Santana Moss. Who do you see the has the most value going forward, or atleast the next 4-6 weeks? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Moss' Schedule: Week 2 - Saints Week 3 - Cardinals Week 4 - Cowboys Week 5 - Eagles Week 6 - Rams Week 7 - Browns Galloway's Schedule: Week 2 - Atlanta Week 3 - Chicago Week 4 - Green Bay Week 5 - Denver Week 6 - Carolina Week 7 - Seattle

    Bevy of RB's quandray

I'd dump either Perry or Thomas...probably Perry, see more upside in Thomas, and Perry has been made of glass in his short career. I think Toomer has a chance to go off against the Rams, but Walter does have great upside. Think I'd go with Toomer. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323154

So Many Good RB's. Life is Good

I think I'd go Lynch, Bush and Jackson as well. Give CJ3 a few more weeks to see. Having said that, I have Lynch, Jackson and Turner...I'm thinking of sitting Jackson...agree? Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=323154
