  1. Is this the year LT2 breaks down?? I guess this year will answer the questions on Tomlinson. Is he the next Jim Brown or Walter Payton? I think we are watching history in the making...put his name next to all this era's great's...Jordan, Tiger, Gretzky, Sanders and Emmitt. Having said that, I see the "Big Three" atleast finishing top 5...pretty solid. Vince - I think he got what it takes to win...but I will let someone else make that bed. S. Moss - definately got the skills, will take him in the right situation. But if we are talking low flying/high reward...how about Kevin Curtis? Should get a lot of receptions in Philly, we know how Reid loves to throw, and have not heard a word on him. I'll take him as my WR4 or spot fill in a late round. Tony Scheffler - when talking about value, I gotta mention this guy. He will be available in the late rounds, and I liked what I saw between him and Cutler. With another off-season and pre-season, by the end of the first quarter of the season, I see him being a solid contributor at a historically weak position. Mike Furrey - had a ton of receptions in 06...where do you see him going?
  2. QB's Cutler - I think he will provide great value in rounds 6-8. Liked what I saw in him ending last year, now with Henry, Graham in pass protection, another year with Walker, and Marshall and Scheffler evolving, has weapons. And we can't forget Smith...old reliable...if he's back. Rivers - pretty much the same as Cutler, young QB building relationship's with receivers. Brady - I know he'll be ranked high, but I think he'll exceed his ADP. Got a ton of help now. RB's Portis - as above. He's a stud...will lose some touches to Betts, but will be top 7 at years end...if he avoids injury. As well, with a young QB in Gibbs offense, will have increased value in PPR. Parker - with all the unknowns, people are down on him. Pittsburg will still be a run 1st team, and he's got great vision and exceleration. Caddy - down year last year...but as said above, his had no team to help. Gruden will do something to help it before fall. Thomas Jones - some are saying he will be a RB3...I say a solid RB2 WR's Mark Clayton - don't know...just see him being a solid WR3 Terry Glenn - never gets the love, but gets it done Galloway - same as Caddy, TB will improve S Moss - will rebound this year, might not reach 05 #'s this year, but somewhere between 05-06 numbers for 07 - 1000 yds - 7-8 TD's Where does everyone see the DST going this year. Our league is through Yahoo, and there were weeks that DST won on their own...Baltimore...Chicago. I usually wait til late rounds to fill my DST spot...any thoughts?

    New Keeper League

We are both on the same wave length to be honest. I was thinking about Westy, due to his high receptions and being the focal point of the Philly O, and teamed with S Jax, would make for a strong base for my team. But Addai, if taken, could be my keeper for this year, having S Jax and Addai for a few years cannot be a bad thing, especially in a PPR league. When I did my mock, I think Wayne would be gone by the time it gets back to me. In fact, I'm almost 100% sure, a friend of mine drafting 8th had him last year, and wants him again this year and plans on taking him in the 2nd round (really the 3rd as each team has a keeper) I predicted 6 WR come off the board by the time it gets to me: Harrison, CJ, Smith, Owens, Wayne and Fitz...7 including Holt who is a keeper. I would LOVE to see Wayne be there when I pick, as I have him scoring higher than Marvin this year, but don't see it happening. I have been thinking Roy Williams; Martz system, high rec totals, and pretty much being the go to guy, as I do not think Furrey will repeat his totals from 06. Housh is a WR1 in my opinion, being the #2 in Cincy...as you said...a la Wayne. I am actually high on Walker this year, hoping Cutler will make it to me in round 5-7...would take him as my QB if given the right value. I also think Andre Johnson would be a good pick; I know Schaub isn't proven, but AJ is the go to guy with high rec #'s. As for Driver, I would not be keeping him, so in a redraft, could be worthy. Colston needs to be considered too. Any sophmore issues? Where does everyone see Lee Evans, Plaxico and Reggie Brown? Thanks for your help!!!

    RLLD's Spring RB Rankings

A LOT of good stuff here. Some things that popped in my head: - people are somewhat down on Bush, afraid of competition for the ball in NO, but how bout S Jax's competition? I am high on Jackson...I have him in my keeper, but why the fear for Reggie but not Jackson? Rams have Holt, Bruce, Bennett, McMichael...but I'm still looking for 14-16 TD's for Jackson. NO's had the second best offense (I think) last year, now with Horn gone, opening more up thru the air for Reggie. - I know Shanahan has been touted as having "the system" for RB's, but the Broncos haven't been stellar recently. So was it the system, or quality of players in past years? I see Henry at 12-14. - McGahee was ranked high a couple year's ago, and is now in a better situation in Balt. I'm still not sold on him though...durable...attitude??? - I think Portis should be top 10. I know Gibbs named his running offense RBBC, but he's just lighting the fire early. Portis is a stud...if he stays healthy...but as above, can't rank expecting injury. - Hard to be tough on Westbrook, he's been consistant for years. - I was thinking good thing's for Parker, but with all the unknown's, have to drop him down my list a bit. I'm sure the Steeler's whole scheme will not change...their philosophy has been their franchise, hard nose run the ball football...Parker will still get his carries. My list looks like this right now: LT S Jax LT Alexander Gore Westbrook Rudi Addai Bush Portis Parker Jones-Drew Henry Ronnie Brown McGahee Maroney

McGahee, Maroney, T. Henry.. 1st Rounders?

I agree this is a good list...but no FWP???
  6. triple_f

    Which two would you keep?

Gore and Bush.....FOR SURE...especially if a PPR league
  7. triple_f

    Keepa help

Westbrook - main part of Philly's Offense Holt - getting old, but consistancy is paramount

    Chester Taylor

2006 - 303 carries for 1216 yards...42 rec. for 288....6 total TD's. Not bad numbers for a RB#3 in TD heavy leagues. Has a great O Line...but not much of a nose for the endzone. Do you think his TD numbers, with more time in the offensive system, will increase next year?

    Broncos Pickup Stokley

As said tonight on NFL Total Access...Stokley will be able to fill Shanny's head with "Secrets of the Colts." Denver hasn't beaten the Colts for years, and their defense has trouble stopping them, maybe Stokley can help out there.

    Chester Taylor

I agree with all the questions on Taylor next year...I think he will be lucky to reproduce last years numbers. If he could rush for the same yards but get into the endzone 3-4 more times, and increase his rec #'s a bit...42 rec last year...he could easily be a RB2. But I don't see it happen. I see in the NFL.com early rankings, they have him ranked 13th among RB's and drafted high second round in the early draft...I just don't get it. http://30608230513.football.nfl.com/news/9905658 - rankings http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/fantasy/story/9976383 - draft

    Joey Harrington, Falling fast

The majority of players in the CFL have second jobs...take that for an indication.

    Joey Harrington, Falling fast

I'm a Canadian...and I have to admit to the CFL being THE WORST FOOTBALL LEAGUE in the World. I have tried over and again to get into it...but no go. Joey just might be a good fit.

    Rank'em

But how about the next tier??? Eli Vick Favre (if they trade for Moss) Rivers Hasselbeck Romo Vince Leinart Cutler
  16. triple_f

    Chester Taylor

I guess that's my whole purpose in starting this post. Will CT get those 3-5 extra TD's in '07? Will he figure out how to get into the endzone, or will that not be one of his career strong points...kinda like Warrick Dunn. In 10 years, Dunn had 8 seasons with 7 or less TD's, and 5 seasons of those were for 5 or less (having 2 TD's twice) However, I totally agree with the situation draft...all depends what falls into your lap.

    Chester Taylor

PPR is where I think his value increases among backs. I think his injury effected him from week 14 on, they didn't want to push him. But I still have trouble thinking him as my RB#2 in 07.

    Moss deal almost done?

Come on dude...that's not even up for debate...Moss is one of the greatest like I'm Jessica Alba's bodyguard.

    Laurence Maroney

We always used the word musty to describe the smell the monthly monster would leave behind...just like this thread. NE's O is going to open wide now, making lots of room for Maroney...but INDY is THE FF beast...tough decision. Probably won't go wrong with either for the next few years.

    T SCHEFFLER?

I agree with everyone here...although Graham has good hands, he has primarily be used for blocking the past 2 seasons. I am high on Scheffler this year...but Denver has always been a run first offense. Graham will be a nice addition.
  21. I had to go with Jacobs...he is totally unproven as a back getting the majority of touches. Sure he's a beast on the goal line, but can he hold up getting 20+ touches a game? When you look at first round backs in a ppr league, you gotta see Westbrook in the top 7-8. He IS the eagles offense. I know durability is a question, but he didn't miss a game this year did he? What about A. Green? Is he gonna get re-signed by GB? If so, could he be a 2nd rounder? GB is shaping up well for 2007. How about Chester Taylor??? I know he couldn't find the endzone to save his life in 06, but do you think that'll change in 07? He gets a fair amount of touches through the air. Where should he be drafted?
