    I'm here to help.

In my league, you get 2 points for each rush/rec yard and 60 points for TDs. Fumbles are -45 points. I am looking to start Harrison or Portis as my RB3/Flex. Who should I start? I am concerned that Portis is listed as questionable. This may be mind games as he practiced all week but if he does not play, I do not have another RB with a 4 PM game to sub in. That would crush my team and I am 0-1 in this league and need a W! Also, we e-talked last week about whether to start the Pats DST or the Raiders DST. Starting the Raiders killed me! Your Pats DST looked good and have a good match-up this week.

    Who to start?

I'm on the fence with this one. Plus, I am a Cleveland homer and don't want that to skew my perspective. Harrison blew up against the Chiefs last year but Portis took most all carries last week.

    Mendenhall or McCoy at RB?

I would start McCoy. This is a good match-up for him and I expect the Titans-Steelers game will be a defensive struggle as both have strong run defenses. This IMO may limit Mendenhall.

    trade thoughts

There is no way I would do this. Don't freak out after week one. BJax is not proven and there are rumblings that the Packers may be considering Marshawn Lynch. Your scoring format probably matters as Witten does not score many TDs but I would not do this trade. Benson is on a team that has good WRs so there will be running lanes plus, the AFC North sees the Browns twice and is built for a strong running game when the weather gets cold.

    Emergency QB

I would go with Young because he will run and with CJ, that definitely opens up passing lanes and Young showed he will air it out with the long TD last week. Orton is also suitable. I am not liking the others.

    I'm here to help.

Interesting....thanks. I tried to pick up the Browns but missed the waiver deadline since there was a Thursday night game this week. I always draft my DST second last round before a kicker and like to play match-ups and watch the waiver wire. Do you think the Pats D will figure it out after a few games?

    I'm here to help.

DST scoring in my league is that the unit starts with 230 points and for each point allowed, 10 are deducted from this total. The DST gets points for sacks (20 points), fumbles (45 points), INT (45 points). I have the Raiders and Pats and am not comfortable with either but I need to choose one. Who should I start? My opponent started the Vikings DST and scored 110 points. So, I'm looking for a DST to score this or more!
  8. I would think you drafted Bowe to be your WR2 so I would not stray away from this in Week 1. With the other options, I would want to wait and see what happens.... In SD, will Rivers rely on his comfort with Gates and look to him for the most part? In NY, I would not take Nicks being that you are starting Bradshaw. In CHI, which WR will be Cutler's favorite? I may consider Knox here since they are playing the Lions DST but if the game is out of hand and the Bears build a lead, they may abandon the passing game altogether. So, I would start Bowe. He is the clear #1 and has something to prove after an average 2009-2010.

    M. Forte or J. Stewart

I would start Forte until you see how Carolina will use the 2-headed RB monster. Forte has looked good this pre-season and should be fed the ball a good deal. Stewart would see 50% of the running load at best as long as DeAngelo Williams is healthy and this may hinder potential ff points.

    Bradshaw for B. Wells

I wouldn't do this. With the QB situation in ARI, it may happen that their passing game sucks and folks will stack the box against Wells, Hightower. I am not at all excited about the Cards' run game. Anderson does have the big arm but he was dreadful in CLE last year and struggles with the easy pass. Bradshaw is projected to start and Coughlin even came out and verified this. Also, consider the weather in NY and they will rely more heavily on their run game as the season goes on. The handcuff issue in KC is not so important as I feel there will be players on the WW that surface that can produce such as Hillis, Crayton. However, I am not sure your league's RB scoring or if you have depth past Bradshaw and Charles.

Hardesty out, who do I add?

It is my understanding that Parker just got cut. Out of this list, I would consider Buckhalter and Huggins due to injury-prone backs in front of them. Is Hillis available? He will fill Hardesty's role and looked great in the pre-season. I don't like the WR you list. I would look at Crayton or Gaffney if they are available.

Addai, Foster, McCoy? need one. PPR

Addai! He is proven, in a contract year and despite the possible concussion, ready to roll.
  14. My league scoring features 2 points for each rushing/rec yard and 2 points for a reception. 60 points is given for a TD of any kind. In terms of KR/PR, you get 2 points for each punt return yard and 1 point for each kick return yard. With this in mind, would you rather have Devin Hester or Ted Ginn Jr.? Hester will play WR2 and return punts while Ginn may be a WR3 but will return punts and kicks. I am looking to offer one of these guys in a trade and don't want to offer the wrong one!
  15. I have downloaded both of these and gotten to the point on draft buddy where I've entered all teams. Since keepers in my league result in lost picks, I started the draft by entering in the players kept. This leaves some holes but I assume I can manually enter draft picks until the point where all teams draft in serpentine format. With the current format, if I kept 3 players (maximum) and a team kept one, I'd have to wait until that team also had three players before the draft opens to the whole league. My issue is that although I entered the draft picks, it did not eliminate these names from my cheatsheet. The draft buddy is saved as the name of the league linked to the cheatsheet and they are all located in the same folder I've moved to my desktop. I'd like for the names of keepers to go blank so I can easily see who's out there to prepare fully for the draft. Any help would be great!
  16. Yes, this has all been done.
  17. I am in a league with unique scoring in that players receive 1 point for each passing yard, 30 points per TD pass, -20 for INT, 2 points for each rushing or receiving yard, -45 for fumbles. Also, players scoring a TD get 60 points and 2 points per reception. WR that run back kicks are especially valuable as they get 1 point for each kickoff return yard and 2 points per each punt return yard. Josh Cribbs and Sproles have made nice players because of this! Anyhow, there are 12 teams in the league and folks just declared keepers yesterday. We start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, Flex RB/WR/TE, TE, K, DEF. I am the third team...the team with Moss, Brees and DeAngelo Williams: 1-ADP, Shonn Greene 2-Turner, Grant 3-R. Moss, Brees, DWill 4-Rodgers 5-R. Rice, SJax, Cribbs 6-Fitz 7-Gore, Mendenhall, Roddy White 8-Wayne 9-MJD, Benson, Austin 10-Brady 11-Chris Johnson, P. Manning, Andre Johnson 12-Desean Jackson, Colston This is the draft order and the draft runs in a serpentine format. Since I chose 3 players, I must wait until all teams have 3 players before the draft starts so that all teams are choosing. Everyone had to name a franchise player and then for the first 2 rounds, teams lose their draft pick in these rounds if they have keepers past the franchise player. There are 3 keepers allowed max. The 3rd round is when all teams draft. With that said, who would you covet with my first 2 picks (#3 and #22)? Last year I kept MJD, Brees and DWill in this format and hoped to go WR, WR in the first rounds where I picked. I got Housh and Owens and had an awful 1-5 start due to no WR production! I had to trade MJD for Randy Moss and Jacobs and wound up out of the playoffs. I hope to fare better this season. Thanks for the help.

    Trade Offer Advice

Maybe I was unclear. I give up MJD and a minor player to get Randy Moss and Brandon Jacobs. I would still have Brees.

    Trade Offer Advice

Well, I am 0-3 and feel I need to make a deal to salvage my season as I have been to the Super Bowl in my league the last 2 years. I offered an owner MJD and Brees for Rivers, Moss, Jacobs. The dude counter-offered Moss, Jacobs for MJD and Hasselbeck or MJD and Olsen or MJD and Vernon Davis. Thoughts? My WR are killing me with TO, Housh and Chris Henry! The scoring format is 2 points per rush or rec yard, 60 points per TD and 2 pts per reception. I have to let MJD go by season's end as I have reached my limit on years of keeping him so the main question is would this trade give me a keeper for giving up one? With this trade, my starting lineup would be: Brees De'Angelo Williams Hightower or Donald Brown Jacobs Moss TO Housh Olsen or Vernon Davis Tynes Ravens DST We start 10 (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, Flex RB/WR, TE, K, DST). I cannot go 0-4 and unfortunately, DWill and Hightower are on byes this week. Help!!

    My WRs are abysmal

I have been to my league's Super Bowl the last 2 years and have started off the year 0-2 in large part due to my sucky WRs. I have to start 3 WRs in a scoring format where TD=60 points, Rec=2 points and 1 Receiving Yard=2 Points. I have TO, Housh and I have been starting Henry and Josh Morgan at WR3 (yuck). My RB are my strength with MJD, De'Angelo Williams and Hightower to go along with Drew Brees. I have kept MJD for the maximum number of seasons I can and must release him after this season...so, I am thinking he's my best trade bait now. So, I was thinking of offering MJD, Galloway and Greg Jones to an owner that has Moss (Galloway would offer security if Moss goes down) for Brandon Jacobs and Vincent Jackson. Thoughts? I can't start 0-3!!

    RBBC

I like Hightower first. He is a veteran and has earned his role with a great pre-season. He can catch out of the backfield and will be the goal-line back even if Beanie becomes more involved. Even with Edge carrying the load for ARI in the past, Hightower was effective at the goal-line. Second, Leon Washington is the man. The coaching staff realizes he can take it to the house whenever he touches the ball and he will get consistent carries. Also, he takes the punts and kickoffs. Knowshown is last for me. I do not like the Denver Offense.
