  1. I have the 4th pick in the draft, of a 12 team league that allows for you to keep 2 players from last year that were drafted from the 7th round down. Here are some of the Rb's that will be kept before the draft even starts.

Larry Johnson, Tiki Barber, Steven Jackson, Chester Taylor, Willie Parker

I already get to keep Willie Parker as my RB and TJ Houshmandzadeh as my WR. Now comes the tough decision, do I go for Manning being that before I pick Alexander, LT and the running backs mentioned above will be gone before I pick or do I go for possibly R. Brown, Edge, L. Jordan as my second back. Since I'm not going to have one of the top backs I could get the top QB or Wide out. I like Parker but I don't see him as a #1 back yet, like to get some feedback. :dunno:

  2. This is just asinine. Thomas Jones, whose career year was last year (doesn't get any better for him, folks) sits out and pouts and the defense has been taking big shots at Benson for the duration of camp.

This was a management decision! Benson is only doing what he has to in the role he has been handed. I don't see why you take it out on him. Maybe if he was mouthing off like McNown did. So even if Jones starts you just knocked out your backup RB for awhile. Brilliant.

Agrred! Those dopes are a bunch of dumb Asses. I guess we'll be relying on (YO! Adrian Peterson) for awhile.

  3. He's worked this offseason in adapting a running style similar to Eddie George -another back of similar physical attributes. He has ability, but is a player that is being developed, and it's early. You'll see more of Jacobs this season, so you'll have an opportunity to judge for yourself.

The Giants are developing to be a feature back. He has surpassed Derek Ward on the depth chart and has locked down the #2 spot. You will see more of Jacobs this season.

As with any other position, just an injury away, not that I want Barber to get hurt. Regardless I to beleive he'll see more opportunities.

  4. I've been listing to Chicago Radio and earlier this week they said some of the players were taking some shots at Benson. They said it's because there's alot of Jones backers on this team, do you think this may have anything to do with what happened.

  5. Tiki Barber has hinted that this may be his last year, where would the Giants go from there? Would Brandon Jacobs be their next option or would they be looking to draft a back next year?

  6. Riceman what makes you say this? I'm curious as I have both Edwards & Jurevicus in one of my leagues and have been waiting to see how things work out there in Cleveland so I'll have some idead of which one to start in my flex position as I have 3 good options at 1, 2, & 3.

I've thought about taking Edwards myself, but I'm just not sold on Frye just yet. Both of these players are going to very dependent on what Frye does. If Droughns can run the ball and Frye can make good throws and good decisions Edwards and Jurevicious  may both suprise. Good Luck with them.

  7. Already said that's a problem, and he didn't miss out on a #1 WR in rounds 11 & 15. Maroney/Williams aren't going to net you a #1 WR in a trade at this point either. Team has 5 RB and 5 WR. So your point is...?

He's made his bed with Chambers and DJax. They're both risky picks, especially that high. But what WR available when the 'developmental RB' were chosen would have made a difference?

Best bet, as mentioned previously, would be to try to use Bulger as part of a deal to strengthen his WR.

I'd have been all over Wayne as opposed to Chambers. Maybe not as high an upside, but much more of a sure thing for your #1 WR.

Working on a deal right now that could land me Wanye for Bulger, what would you think about that?

  8. Your first 2 WRs concern me. I'm not sold on Chambers with NO QB in MIA (assuming Culpepper won't be back as early as Miami would like us to believe) and DJax is still recovering from his off season surgery.

Eli in the 5th is good, but I fail to see why you felt the need to snag another QB (Bulger) 2 rounds later. That was a bad move IMO.

It doesn't look like a very strong team in a 10 team league to me. JMO.

I wanted T. Holt or Chad Johnson but the guy picking first took Johnson at the end of round 2 and started round three with T. Holt. Moss, Fitzgerals, Harrison, Boldin and Owens were already taken bfore my turn in the 3rd round. Besides Chambers I could have taken Ward, Johnson (of Hou) or Wayne. But then these guys were gone before I picked in the 4th round, which left me with Jackson. I guess that's what I get for taking S. Jackson in the 2nd round. B)

  9. I read this Morning where their working Willie Parker on catching passes out of the backfield. If that's the case that could mean that he'll stay on the field alot more this year, not having to come out on 3rd downs as much. The only worry would be will he be able to stay healthy with extra work put on him. I hope he gets alot more looks because he's one of my keepers from last year.

Haven't heard much good about J. Lewis. Chester Taylor could be a sleeper this year, and R. Droughns may do ok, but I think alot could depend on C. Frye and the rest of the offensive players around him. How will K. Winslow do in what will be his rookie season, when will B. Edwards return and how much will better will he be from last year. Their receivers look pretty weak and now they won't have A. Bryant to throw to, not that he's that great but he's in my opinion is better than what they have now. If they can't throw their going to be hurting. You know that teams are going to stack 8 or 9 in the box and make the reat of the offense beat them. So like I said Droughns will go as far as the rest of the offense goes.

  10. I drafted 6th in a 10 team league and here's what I can up with.

    Round 1) Lamont Jordan, RB

    Round 2) S. Jackson, RB

    Round 3) Chris Chambers, WR

    Round 4) D. Jackson, WR

    Round 5) E. Manning, QB

    Round 6) J. Shockey, TE

    Round 7) M. Bulger, QB

    Round 8) J. Addai, RB

    Round 9) Reggie Brown, WR

    Round 10) E. Wilford, WR

    Round 11) DeAngelo Williams, RB

    Round 12) Ben Troupe, TE

    Round 13) Jax Def

    Round 14) Koren Robinson, WR

    Round 15) L. Maroney, Rb

    Round 16) Josh Brown, k

    Round 17) Roddy White, wr

Any Comments would be appreciated, thanks.

  11. There are 12 teams in my league and we can keep up to 2 players. But some teams may not want to keep anyone. Our keeper rounds start in the 7th round down through the 15th. In order to keep a player you drafted in the 7th round last year you would have to give up a 4th rounder this year. You have to go back 4 rounds from the original round that you drafted the player from the year before.

How many teams are in the league?

How many players will be kept?

How many keepers can you keep? (i.e. if you don't keep Housh does that mean you get to keep someone else instead)

The other player I can keep is Willie Parker. I have to give up an 11th rounder for him.
