Thomas is so underrated. In Chicago people kept hyping Benson and Jones got drafted in the 4th or 5th rounds the last couple of years. Just look at his performance those years. I would go Jones (if healthy at the time of my draft), since I am still not convinced regarding the "improved" O-line in Arizona. It's close though.

As long as Larry signs you should be OK. Depth at RB looks fine to me ... Green should do fine and Henry is a sleeper in my book. Depth at WR is fine too ... if Bennett wins the #2 spot in St. Louis you might even want to trade one for a better QB. One question though: who the hell is Forrest Whittaker (not the actor??)??

Keeping 3 of 4, McNabb, McGahee, Portis, S. Smith

Good choice ... just try to get Betts as a handcuff. But I am sure you figured that out. -
Look at it this way ... you should have a good draft position for next year when you finish at the bottom. Lots of potential though.
-
You should go for Gore in my opinion. Sure Peyton is great, but from what you posted you will have no chance of getting a decent RB when it's your pick again. QB's should be readily available ... guys like Rivers, Delhomme or the other Manning.
-
If he drafts Peterson/Lynch in the #2 our advise won't help him much anymore. In your situation I would look what is left before making my 2nd pick. There is only one guy with two picks between your 2nd and 3rd. You should be able to assess how big your changes are of getting a good #2RB or #1WR in the 3rd round. If it is your turn in the 2nd and there are 3 comparable RB's (Benson, Edge, T. Jones) left and only one top WR (like Holt), you should pick Holt in the 2nd and pick the remaining RB in the third. The same principle works the other way to ...

If I read your question correctly, you have to choose between Romo and one of these backs. Right? In that case go with Romo. I couldn't be bothered with any of the RB's you mentioned. If Portis was out Betts would be an option, but at this moment that would be a gamble.

I am totally against drafting QB's (or WR's) in the first round ... so don't draft Manning!!! No idea who is available (besides Alexander), but Westbrook, Parker spring to mind.
-
Never drop a starter ... Jamal Lewis!!! By the way : who would you be picking up? Are you sure it is worth dropping either of them?

Like somebody already said: we need to know the salaries to give serious help. Just ranking the mentioned player: 1. Housh 2. Ward 3. D-Jax 4. Edwards 5. Coles

Agreed!

Three "2nd string" RBs in my top 12 rankings!
buccs69 replied to Ricky's Swami's topic in FFToday Board
Totally agreed. Is there an opening in this league? -
I am assuming here that LT and S-Jax are gone ... should I stick with Larry Johnson (holdout) or go Frank Gore? Or maybe even trade down the order? Regular scoring: 10 yards for 1 point and 6 for TD. No points per reception.
-
I agree with you on the Manning-part. I love Frank Gore ... he helped win this league last year (with some help S-Jax), but I also loved LJ the year before. I offered my #3 spot to the rest of my league to see what my alternatives are.
-
Gore and Westbrook would be my choice.
-
What is that? I keep reading about LJ being old ... he is only 27. LT is 28 ... anybody want to promote S-JAx or Gore for 1st overall??? Don't forget LJ spent a lot of time waiting for Priest to move over. LJ has only had one full season (and one half season) of wear and tear. Comparable to the amount of playing time Gore has had. The only thing right now that might sway towards Gore is the potential holdout

Keeper Draft through 6 rounds - how am i doing?
buccs69 replied to Jimboozie's topic in A Little Help!
I agree that Gates was a bit too early. Don't get me wrong ... I love Gates, but the drop to guys drafted in the 6th round (Crumpler is still available) is minimal. So you could have picked a #1 WR in the third round and drafted Crumpler in the 7th. I expect Benson to be fine ... so I have no problem with drafting late in 2nd round myself. -
I took over a dead team in a Dynasty League this off-season. My six keepers are: 1) Drew Brees 2) Brian Westbrook 3) Ahman Green 4) Larry Fitzgerald 5) Marques Colston 6) Hines Ward We have a 2 round rookie in which I had 1st pick 7) Marshawn Lynch 8) Chris Henry Today our main draft starts and I have first pick again. Should I go with Ronnie Brown or Travis Henry? I am thinking Brown, but already have him in another Dynasty. The scoring is basic: 1 FP per 15 yards, 6 FP per TD and -2 per FMB Any input is welcome!!
-
Thanks ... 3-0 Brown. So I drafted him!!!
-
My two current keepers are: Portis Julius I draft first overall and have the choice of picking either Reggie Bush, Rudi Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald. Rudi and Larry would be the best options in a yearly league, but this is an unlimited years-keeper so I feel I can't pass up on Reggie. Anybody disagree??

Dillon will be the starter in New England this season and right now it looks like Thomas Jones will be the starter for Chicago (at least in the beginning). So I would ask more for Jones, since you would be trading a possible starter for a backup with a promising future. If it were a keeper league ... Please answer mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=224962

Unlike you ... I would be trading UP to get #1. I am not sure you got my question right.

I have #7 pick in a 12 team redraft money league and I have been offered the #1 overall spot. It is a straight swapping of positions for the entire draft. Am I crazy for having doubts? I mean if the #1 spot is so great why would the guy want to move down (he is not getting any extra draft picks)? At #7 I will get someone like Edge or R.Brown in the 1st and TO or Chad in the 2nd. After that I could land Chester Taylor and Warrick Dunn in the 3rd and 4th. That would give me a solid bonus. Should I take the chance to land one of the big three or not?
