  1. I would take CJ if I were in your position. Reason #1 is Marvins age. While still undoubtedly a top wideout in the highest powered offense in the league, the emergence of Reggie Wayne, Brandon Stokely, and Dalls Clark in the passing game have given Manning more options, especially with D's focusing on Marvin most of the time. Reason #2 is the fact that CJ is the first, second, and third option for Palmer who I only see continuing to improve despite injuries. Palmer-to-CJ is the next Peyton-to-Marvin and you could definitely benefit from having Manning AND CJ racking up TD's for you every week for their respective teams.

    Who would you rather keep?

Definitely agree with the others here. Hang on to Caddy, Brown, and Gates. If you're holding Caddy and Brown for a combined 16 bucks, then Hasselbeck for $15 would be rediculous. The only argument I would make for keeping him, is the "Madden Jinx" and the fact that Hasselbeck may end up throwing the ball around alot after finishing strong last year, and with 6pts for all TD's and defenses keying on stopping Alexander, Hasselbeck could be a solid fantasy QB again this year. But keep Gates, you're basically starting 4 WR's with him in the line up.

    Trade proposed to me already...

Definitely don't take the trade. KJ has shown alot of promise when healthy, and with Martz in town and Harrington no longer under center, I see a big offensive year with the talent Detroit has at WR and RB. You're stacked at WR and Keyshawn would most likely never see a starting spot with the corps you have in place (barring injuries) and with a featured back in a Martz offense as the last RB on your depth chart, you should be sitting pretty. If you've got a minute, give me your opinions. My Link

What round should Mike Bell be drafted in?

I dunno if I would rank him in the top 30, but Shanahan is good for a 1,000 yard back every year so he may be worth a look as a #3 or 4 back in some leagues. Round 5 is a bit of a reach for him since he will definitely split carries with a few other backs but I say if you get him in the later rounds he would be a definite steal because everyone doesnt know about him landing the #1 RB spot in Denver just yet.

This what my league looks like..

Ha. If I were old enough I'd have probably been out drinking on the lake during my draft too lol. Seems to me some of the people made their draft lists after they got in from a night getting their Grey Goose on though lol. Neil Rackers with a #2 pick. Still cant believe that lol.
  6. No problem. I got thrown to the dogs last year in my first ever draft and basically drafted according to the latest Madden rankings lol. You really gotta get used to who scores big and what positions are important in Fantasy Football and the only real way to do that is with experience. I wouldn't worry too much about that league and would enter a smaller draft on yahoo or ESPN or something to get some experience now that you know a little more about what you're doing. Good luck with it.

This what my league looks like..

Wow. Those are some odd choices all around the league. Neil Rackers with a round 2 pick? Defenses going 2nd and 3rd rounds with choices like Ronnie Brown on the board? You may have a shot at the league, especially since I do believe you might land LJ for a kicker if you offer it to the team that took Rackers with a #2 selection.
  8. Okay. With that scoring your season is looking up. Still not likely to win the league or make the playoffs, but you'll be in more games than I thought at first. Brady and Bush could help keep you in it and if you can bring in another top RB you may just be okay. Reggie as a return man and running back and Brady throwing TD's with an aging Dillon and Maroney as a rookie will likely happen more often. So try and put together the best trades you can get, watch the waiver wire, and keep your fingers crossed. There MIGHT be hope. Not much, but its possible.
  9. Yeah, Rule #1- be at the draft. and if you arent 100% sure you'll be there, make SURE you set your draft rankings with lots of RB's at the top. I would advise probably top 20 with only Peyton Manning mixed in somewhere depending on how your league scores passing TD's. Being at the draft is still your best option though, and joining another league to gain experience would also be a great idea.
  10. Hmm... a few questions. 1- is this for money? 2- was it a live draft that you missed or online? 3-what pick did you have? and 4- did you get a promotion over the guy that told you WR's rack up the most points lol? You may strike gold with Bush this year but I wouldnt count on it. They'll probably split carries and Bush's biggest role will likely be as a decoy and return man as long as Deuce is healthy.
  11. Your first year is always basically a learning experience as I found out last year by taking the marvelous Daunte Culpepper with my top pick. I picked last in the first round so i still managed to get Edge and the year wasnt a total loss because i traded culpepper once he started to struggle. Anyways, I'm gonna agree that packaging a deal with Brady and a WR for as good a RB as you can get, and hope to add depth through waivers and just hope for the best. Advice for next year: take the two best RB's you can get in the first 4 rounds or so and pair that with a stud WR and one of the top 3 tight ends ( Gates, Gonzalez, Shockey) or perhaps Crumpler in a later round if there's a great WR left at that point. Save QB's for later and make sure not to take a rookie QB because even if he does start, he will struggle badly. Try to get players that are #1 options on their respective teams, and draft the highest quality player for each position throughout the draft. Good Luck though, and watch the league throughout the year to learn more about what to do next year.

    Ideas for upgrades?

I'll definitely be happy with either trade if it happens. I think the second gives me better depth at RB with McGahee being the only option in Buffalo, but the first gives me TO...and I'll take him at wideout any day of the week. Especially since Dallas paid him like he wanted and they should win, which are the two things it takes to keep TO happy. Anyone got any suggestions as to whether to trade Wayne or Walker because they seem to be getting equal interest in trade talks.

    I just traded Tiki...

Congrats on winning your league before the preseason is fully underway. That's probably some sort of record lol. Great move.

    3rd or 4th pick

Stay at #3 and take whichever of the big 3 that falls to you. A one pick difference in round two wouldnt make up for the gap that there is between the top 3 players and the rest of the fantasy options. In an 8 team league you should be able to put together an amazing corps of RB's with your first two picks and still have some #1 options at WR. Hope this helped, and good luck. Please take the time to give me your input on mine. My Link

    Ideas for upgrades?

Good Idea on the TE. I was thinking along those lines because Shockey plus one of my WR's or RB's should land me Gates. I also proposed a trade of Javon Walker and Addai for McGahee and Chambers that the guy told me he would definitely accept if the TO deal I offered that also involves walker doesnt work out. I think that's probably an upgrade at both positions but the guy thinks Addai is the next Edge and feels he's getting the better deal. Any input on this?

    Keeper Help?

I would probably have to agree. Your best hope is to draft some real sleepers and work the waiver wire. If McNabb returns to form and Cadillac keeps improving, and you're a persuasive person, you might land a big trade somehow and make a run for the playoffs. Otherwise...just hope everyone elses players get hurt or someone decides to keep Samkon Gado lol. Please take the time to answer mine. My Link

    Trade Caddy for Jamal Lewis?

I would accept the trade and take Westbrook. I think he's gonna have a big year this year with a solid young line, and him as the true focal point of the offense in Philly both running and receiving. Also picking at 9 and 11 will allow you to add some WR depth and the top player still available at that point. Caddy and Westbrook should put up similar overall numbers, so in theory you'll be adding a high draft pick. Hope I helped. Heres my link. My Link

    pick 2.09 in a 12 team league

Well, with all TD's counting for 6pts, I would look at taking Peyton Manning 4th overall unless one of the big 3 backs fall to you. With Edge gone he's gonna throw it more and I wouldnt be surprised to see him approach 40 TD's or so with the weapons they have on offense and two mainly recieving RB's. With your second rounder I would take the top RB on the board and try to pick up Harrison in round 3 to get double the points because it seems that Peyton to Marvin is good for at least 12 TD's a year. A bruiser back such as TJ Duckett may also be a steal in later rounds with TD's weighing that heavily. Just some thoughts, something to change it up a bit from the "take 2 backs with your first two picks" approach. Hope I helped, and good luck.

    HELP and CASH

Overall you're okay, especially with the 7th pick. I think your real ace-in-the-hole is Domanick Davis. He was a 1st round pick in my league, so landing him as your #3 back is a total steal. Chambers is a solid option at wideout but trading davis could likely bring you a top flight WR in return. Reed should be plenty of chances in the Steelers offense for mid-range FG attempts that he normally converts. I would look to pick up a more proven D off waivers if possible because in my opinion, Cincy wont force that many TO's again this year. If Bulger returns to his old self after the injury you can count on him for 4,000 yards and 25 or so TD's. You could look to trade a RB like Foster and Taylor for a backup QB since apparently you drafted every good back in the league lol. Again though, the big move would be Davis for a top notch WR to pair with Chambers, and adding a defense. If you do that, you should definitely be sitting near the top of the league especially with Parker's larger role in Steel-Town. Hope I helped.

    Ideas for upgrades?

Thanks for the help. I offered a trade to a guy in my league that has TO and Brandon Lloyd. The offer is: Javon Walker and Koren Robinson for TO and I'm hoping he accepts it to add more depth at WR since I think those guys are the only two WR's on his roster. I don't like my odds on that one, but I thought it was worth a shot.

Who should i draft quick help

I'll agree that taking Addai and then stealing Rhodes later would put you in a pretty solid position. But Jones is worth a look especially with Martz in town now. They may not have the overall talent his Rams had, but the WR's are there and Kitna proved himself to be pretty capable in Cincy ( not counting last years playoff game). This could open things up for Jones and with the team you already have in place, you could take a gamble on Jones and stay afloat even if he doesnt pan out. If you think the reward is greater than the risk, pull the trigger on Jones, although Addai is in one of the most prolific offenses I've ever seen, he will likely split carries all year unless he proves to be the next Edge early on. Go with your gut and hope you made the right call. That's about all you can do in fantasy football, cause last years stats mean nothing this year. Hope this helped, good luck. Here's Mine.

    Draft stragidy

I agree with the earlier post of going with 2 of the top 11 RB's with your first 2 picks. Especially with the question marks at QB around the league, and the unpredictable nature of WR's not named Harrison or Holt. Stick with your consistency and snag two top backs. Then look to fill your roster with the top players available in their respective postions but keep in mind the depth at the postion, reaching to take a less than stellar WR with plenty still on the board while you also need a starting QB and only one remains before you get down to the likes of the David Carr's and Chad Pennington's can ruin a season and keep a team that once had promise out of the playoffs.

Am I giving up too much?

If I were you, I wouldn't take the deal. Moving up to take one of the "big 3" but sacrificing at other positions wouldn't be a wise move in my opinion. Picking 7th you will still likely land a solid back in Edge, Portis, Jordan, Cadillac etc. depending on how the drafting order goes so you should be okay there. Picking 7th should also give you a relatively early pick in round 2 which you could use to either land a stud WR (which is what I would do) or take the most solid back left on the board and have a good corps to build a team around. I would advise you to just leave it the way it is and use your 1st 4 picks to land 2 solid RB's, a stud WR, and likely in round 3 or 4 a top flight TE (Gates, Gonzo, Shockey). If one of the big 3 is worth potentially having question marks at WR or even QB later in the draft, then trust your gut and take the chance on picking up quality in the later rounds, but I would play it safe and build a strong team top to bottom with pick 7. Hope I helped man. Good Luck.

    Should I take the chance?

I'm gonna be different and say take Moss. I know Fitzy can play and all that, but with Edge they're gonna at least have SOME running game...so there's no way he and Boldin each catch 100 balls again this year. Plus, he's RANDY MOSS, and was on pace for 1,864yds last season through his first 4 games before getting hip, pelvic and groin injuries in week 6 (would have been 300 or so more than Steve Smith). So take the chance and even if he doesnt work out, with the team you have...and the "intelligence" of the other owners in your league, you should still be okay.

    Which tandem?

Crumpler and CJ. No doubt. Anyone who disagrees name 3 ATL WR's off the top of your head lol.
