Thanks 2 cent, I agree with you VY >>> Haurd or Croyle. Gotta do something, my weakness at WR is decimating my team. That and injuries, under acheiving RBs, and ineffective QB play... ahh fock I'm screwed no matter how you slice it, but thanks for the help anyway.

I got your end of the groin right here. Sorry it isn't longer, but it's the end and not the middle.
-
I thought LJ was short for LaMont Jordan... this year at least.

With Williams and Moulds in Tennessee, does Jones still have more value than Dwayne Bowe, who seems to be the only WR worth anything in KC? It seems the Titans are suffling in different WRs on every play while Bowe is playing every down. Who do you think has more value?

For those wondering about Mr. Leonard...
Mark_it_8_Dude replied to dynastybaby's topic in FFToday Board
I'm just glad that Jackson's subpar start to the season (and my other underacheivers) has me in last place, so I know I get to pick up Leonard this week. I think... -
0-3 SJax (keeper) FGore (keeper) LMaroney(keeper) 4th Housh 5th Lee Evans 6th Mark Clayton (dropped for Issac Bruce) 7th Eli Manning 8th Vincent Jackson 9th Jerious Norwood 10th Matt Lienart 11th Jaguars D 12th Shayne Graham 13th Jacoby Jones 14th David Garrard (dropped for Brandon Jacobs) 15th Brian Leonard (dropped for Jake Delhomme) Thought I had a good draft, but ceratinly hasn't panned out. Underacheiving WRs!

Average points per game in our league... approximately 70. Average scored against my team the last three weeks 105! Stupid freaking random schedule generator! Oh yeah, why is it every freakin' time I play against Brian Westbrook, he has yet another career day. That guy single-handedly kicks my ass every time I play him. (Note to self: Work a trade for Westbrook to be sure he turns to the sux!) ok no more posts from the Dude.

I think I'm going after Bowe and Roydell Williams, depending on how things go with Tennessee tonight, but I don't know. I dropped Mark Clayton for Issac Bruce (not good). Others are: Housh (only bright spot in my WR stable.) Vincent Jackson (finally got some points.) Lee Evans (seriously sucks, but do you waive him?) Jacoby Jones (out 2-3 weeks with separated shoulder.) Stupid wide receivers!
-
Personally I think that Ruben Droughns becomes odd man out at this point. He will probably move to fullback and Ward will vulture the carries that may have gone to Droughns before Jacobs got hurt. IMHO
-
I'd hold onto him, and buy him if you can. Sooner or later the Rams will get out of their funk. As far as passing goes, looking at Bulger's stats from yesterday it looks like he wasn't throwing to anyone, except the Bucs!
-
I am not really looking to move him either, but I would consider a top WR for him. I have Housh and from there dreggs, so a WR offer might tempt me, but I would be looking for something along the lines of Roy Williams, Harrison, TO, Wayne etc type guy in exchange, so it may be too high a price. Speaking only for myself, I am willing to wait things out. I mean I'm 0-3, and I don't think things can get much worse, obviously 0-6 is worse, but by then I'm re-building for next year anyway. Good Luck!
-
Well that's great, my luck continues... Leinart gets benched and now I'm platooning two broken armed QBs, I guess it's back to Eli until further notice.
-
At least he went over 100 yards yesterday, if you're looking to buy low now may very well be the time. I think (hope) he will only get better from here.

As a Giants fan I absolutely see it as a good thing!

So how's that Lee Evans working out for ya so far ?
Mark_it_8_Dude replied to Mad Brad's topic in FFToday Board
Ahhh... pay attention VaTerp, because our omniscient Brad has already covered this... offer something slightly less than one ham sandwich. -

Mark_it_8_Dude replied to Mad Brad's topic in FFToday Board
"I told you to deal him while you could, cause now he's not worth a ham sandwich... " Seems the classy thing to do would be to not draw attention to it, but anyway all wise Mad Brad, how bout some constructive input from your vastly superior football knowledge and prognosticating power. What are us lowly pessants who own Evans to do? Use your powers for good instead of evil and enlighten us as to the waiver wire gems that will outperform the lowly Evans down the strech, and lead our basement dwelling teams to the promise land of the post season. humbly, - Dude -
I'm putting all my chips on the table

Jim Fassel is that you... I hope you're right. They started 0-2 last year as well and everyone wrote them off, we'll see. -
I picked up Issac Bruce and he gets the nod over Evans this week. I hope he and Losman get their act together soon, WR seems to be my Achilles Heel every year.

Give me one reason NOT to bench Gore for Portis..
Mark_it_8_Dude replied to RedzoneMonster's topic in FFToday Board
Just remember what Gore did to the vaunted Bears defense last year. People who benched him because of that match-up looked like this... Portis, however, is not all that bad of an option, although I think the Giants will play better this week... hell they couldn't be much worse. -
I had to kick him to the curb. Can't have both him and Lee Evans taking up space on my roster. I did get Issac Bruce for him, so hopefully that pans out. Good luck to you guys that have the stones to keep him. The way my season is going I can always grab him back up if he does anything. I'm in the basement and have had second WW position both weeks this year.

Can't we all just get along.

It's all about luck when you're losing, all about skill when you win... just ask Phil Helmouth.

Donovan's Press Conference. Can you look more stupid.

Class act?... no I think not. -
gave wayne and got LJ in a new dynasty league
Mark_it_8_Dude replied to cavern's topic in FFToday Board
I agree with Octopus. RBs have a shelf life of 3 to 5 years tops. WRs can be productive for as much as twice as long. I think the noob might have thrown one past you. I'd say fair trade, nothing unethical at all. -
What choice do you have... in most leagues these guys went 1, 2, and 3. Who is going to make you an offer for guys of that caliber? Certainly not anyone who picked 4, 5, and 6 and got players who are producing at that level. Wait it out things will get better, there is a reason they went 1, 2, and 3. Hopefully the turn around starts this week.
