The Patriots always take what the defense will give them and play to their strengths in gametime situations. Conditions now lend themselves to the passing game, and they have taken advantage of that. When conditions warrant running the ball, ie. wet, windy, cold, weak run defenses etc. the Pats are going to run, and Maroney will be there to reap the reward. I have been playing him at flex anyway and at 7 points per game, he is outscoring a WR #3, so it is not all bad. I know if he is your #1 back it is kind of disappointing, but heck Steven Jackson is my #1 and he has yet to get going this year. Patience is the key. The running game for all teams begin to take on more importance as the season progresses and the weather turns colder, that is when the stud running backs will earn their money.

How did the Cowboys get dubbed "America's Team"? Until the Seskatuwan (sp) Rough Riders enter the NFL it seems to me they are all America's teams. Kind of stupid IMHO.

I've been a Giants fan since the 80s, and I am still here to take my lumps. I'm not whining and not making excuses. We're 0-2 and the wheels appear to be coming off, but I have not given up. Eli I think has proven to be a very tough customer, even though people call him possy. Jacobs will be back, and running hard in a few weeks, hopefully the defense can turn things around, and even if we don't make the play-offs this year maybe we can play spoiler down the stretch. Hopefully, Caughlin will be gone at season's end, and the Giants will get some guys that want to play and a coach they want to play for. My two cents. - Dude

They are both equally bad... I thought it odd that the ESPN guys on SportsCenter were suggesting that by the end of October the NFC East will be a three team race, predicting that Philly will rebound and the Giants are out of it. For fock sakes both the Iggles and Giants are 0-2, it's a little premature to be writing off anyone. Both the Redskins and Cowboys look pretty good, but I think the Skins have the edge, because they are playing much better on defense, however, there are a lot of games left to be played and you can't write off anyone at this point.

I have both and Lee Evans... my luck continues last year it was Chris Chambers and LaMont Jordan, oh and Lee Evans, guess I redrefted the only one who's not bouncing back this year. Oh well long way to go still and i am not going to be this guy... or this guy for that matter... Better luck next week my fellow 0-2ers.

I'm a Giants fan and an Eli owner, and I think he should probably sit this one out. I'd rather see them be 10-6 at season end than worrying about being 0-2. Heck with our new "savior" running back we can probably beat the Pack anyway. (fingers crossed). Go Big Blue!

He used to be a fairly high draft choice now he's on the wire.

It will be interesting to see how he does against the Texans this week. I think I am going to add him and take my chances. Hope he looks to Smith early and often. Thanks for the input.

By continuation of your logic... Drew Brees sucks McAllister and Bush will suffer. Marc Bulger sucks Steven Jackson will suffer. Matt Lienart sucks Edge will suffer. Donovan McNabb sucks Westbrook will suffer. Jason Campbell sucks Portis and Betts will suffer. Phillip Rivers sucks Tomlinson will suffer. All of these QBs had less than stellar games, guess we should give up on all of them and their supporting casts. There are 16 games in a season, let's at least get to half way before we decide who sucks and who doesn't. Josh McCown looked pretty good maybe I should deal Gore for Lamont Jordan.

I'm thinking of dropping him also. Not over-reacting just thinking I should grab Delhome to fill in for Eli Manning. My other QB choices are Garrard and Leinart, neither were really hot this week, but the potential is there, so I think I want to hold on to them. It sucks carrying four QBs when our roster is limited to 15, but what's a dude to do?

He lined up on both sides and went in motion a few times to try and cross up the defense. I don't think J P was really looking for him. I don't know how many targets he had, but it couldn't have been more than five.

I think they're a little rusty is all. They'll hit their stride. It is week 1 afterall.

He will obviously have better days. He might be a good candidate for buy low this week.

No I am not concerned. You had to know that this is what you get with Patriot players. Billicheck works everyone into the game and their offense takes what the defense is giving them. If Sammy Morris is spelling Maroney, it just means he'll have more in the tank come seasons end.
