  1. in the NFL?

I don't doubt his potential but I think hes going right about where he should be and I have a feeling he will be going too high once the NFL works itself out and people start waking up for FF.

He got drafted into a bad fantasy situation plain and simple.

When do RB's get 200 carries under Sean Payton?

Plus you throw in the lockout and I don't see big things for him this year.

Obviously i'm buying in a dynasty but in a redraft, i'll let someone else reach.

Why would you buy him in a dynasty? Are you expecting Sean Payton to be fired? Or would you plan on selling Ingram after his rookie year?

  2. No, not to early JB.

Many will cite the competition for carries/touches, his "lack of explosiveness" referring to mediocre 40-time, his minor knee injury, and some of his success a result of running behind a good Bama line....

But the fact is, he has been productive. He has the instincts and feel for the game. He comes into a high-powered offense. There will be a lot of TDs that somebody is going to get in that offense.

The Saints GM has shown to be good in the recent years at finding talent in the draft. That is part of the reason for their success. The fact that he gave up so much as JB said to move up to get this guy says a lot... they really wanted M.Ingram.

If Ingram comes in and does what they envision him to be, I would not want to be one of the guys who passed on him in the fantasy draft. Especially in a keeper league.

  3. Did you really have to research Gonzo's high school career to know he is a good TE?

The offseason is long. When you are passionate about fantasy football, you can find yourself researching and analyzing things at extreme depths.

  4. This guy has the talent to do it. He's been steady lately, but kinda layin low. Personally after meticulously watching this guy the last 2 years, I think he's been sand-bagging it. I got connections. He's been more focused the last year or so on business related things outside of football (health food business). This looks to be his last year and he has finished strong at each level of football (did a little research on his college and highschool career). Anthony Gonzalez

  5. Just reported Jay Cutler took 2 flights of stairs rather than take an elevator. This guy is gutless bum

I know this strays from the topic a little, but I'm trying to figure out if all this Jay Cutler talk will have ripple effects that force me to trade Stephen Davis from my dynasty team.

  6. Hmmmmm backups......real injuries...hmmmmm! :pointstosky:

My cawk in ya mouth - taste good? Come get some.

    That is probably inappropriate.

But back to the original post. Probably right, if Bears had Tebow instead starting the game, probably a different ending. Not sure if the Bears would've won but a much better chance. McDaniels' career reminds me a lot of how BB's started off. He's got talent.

  7. the Pack is a talented team donnie, but they continue to play some dumb football whether it's on kick/punt returns, clock management, or with ball security.

as a fan, you KNOW they better clean all that up a bit.

Yup donnie, you KNOW they can't win it all if they continue to play DUMB football.

  8. Our league has a simple way around this problem.

We take the top 20 available waiver wire players each week and raffle them off.

The way to get a raffle "ticket" is to give up one of your own rostered players.

It's a little bit of a gamble, because you do not know who you are going to get.

To get a good team you have to gamble a bit, and "hit" some of your "raffle tickets."

This is the best answer we have come up with for that and other problems.

Our season goes through week 16, and we have roster freezes at week 5 (for 2 weeks), 10 (for 1 week), and then finally after week 15. Things get pretty heated in our league, and we've found that the roster freezes gives everyone a chance to calm down.

We've found this system to be the best by far in our 16 home town league (still 9 original owners!)

Try it out next year and let me know how you like it.

  9. Fantasy Football played at the highest levels, is a game of instincts.

You can crunch the numbers all you want and theorize all you want.

But if you are playing at the highest level, you play with your instincts.

    That's how I've won 5 championships.

  10. I drafted Adrian Peterson in rd 1 at #1 and took A. Foster in Rd, 5. I just claimed Lynch to fill in this week for Foster's bye week. My backup is Brandon Jackson and I have no faith in any production from him

    Here's hoping for some payoff.

Nice league. Are you playing with your grandma's cribbage friends?

  11. Packers LB Brandon Chillar has been ruled out for Week 4 against Detroit.

Chillar typically serves as Green Bay's nickel linebacker, but AJ Hawk, the starting LILB in base packages, will get a chance to prove he's a three-down linebacker after losing nickel duties earlier in the season. Desmond Bishop could replace Hawk on third downs if the former Buckeye is not effective.

This makes AJ a must start this week.
