Can't find any info on this. Jones-Drew is available in my league, so I'm interested in any info.

veto or not to veto a trade

I agree. Having total power lie with the commish is the way to go. Makes everything run much smoother. I will listen to comments and complaints from anyone in the league but then make then make the final decision. It avoids all the crap that the original poster mentioned. I can usually avoid the situation where a guy gives a friend his best player by simply asking them not to do it and reminding them that they will look like asses if they try it. I've never actually had to veto a trade. Another thing I do in my league is have weekly prizes for the last two regular season weeks. It's a 10 man $100 entry redraft with NFL weeks 15 and 16 being the fantasy playoff weeks. The managers with the most overall points in week 13 and 14 get $100. That gives everyone an incentive to keep putting together the best lineup possible, even if they are out of the playoffs late in the season. While I think you should have ultimate control as the commish, you can't change your rules at this point in the season. The best way to handle the situation you're in this season is to politely but firmly remind everyone in the league that their veto is a privelage and not a right and that they shouldn't just use to it act in their own self interest. I bet most owners will get the point.

    Player Rankings Update

Anyone else notice that the player projections are missing some notables? LT, LJ, Gates?

    Player Rankings Update

I was talking about the "player rankings", not the player "stat projections" for the week. I guess I assumed that these were two diiferent things - Stat Projections being what players are projected to do this week, and Player Rankings being the overall ranking for the season that could be used to assess trade value. If they're both just based on the upcoming week's matchup, what's the point in having two lists?

How did Chad Johnson not make this weeks

Exactly, CJ never gets hit, no one can touch him, he just makes people laugh and scores TDs.

    Help Forum is worthless

Completely disagree. I've asked several questions already in just the first 2+ weeks and have 10+ responses for each. Most are helpful and some are very well thought out. You must have just caught it at a bad time or had a question that stumped everyone. I've also noticed that a lot of people have similar personel who went with the players that were relatively highly rated by FFToday. So a lot of people have similar lineup decisions and those people can easily help each other out. I know that my 10 man PPR $ league roster (Warner, Bledsoe, McNair, LJ, Chester, Addai, JJ, M Bell, Holt, Driver, Bryant, Coles, M Jones, Gates, Colston, Wilkins, SD) seems to have a lot of overlap with other guys on the board. I'm pretty happy with my lineup (esp the WRs) and I have the FFToday projections and forums to thank for it.

1 week trades to cover bye weeks.

The fact that this is in all caps and you described 1 week trades as gay pretty much seals it for me that you're on the wrong side of the argument.

I've had them turned off for a while, I 've almost forgot how annoying they are.

    Warner or McNair

We lose points for ints and sacks in our league (-2 for an INT, -1 for a sack). I'm a bit afraid of Warner getting sacked and picked by a pretty good StL D. Do you think I should start McNair instead against the awful Browns?

    L. Jordan & K. Winslow for D. Williams

Agree, that's a bad trade for you.

    lav. coles for joseph addai?

Without knowing the scoring system or starting positions it's hard to say. Addai is more potential than an immediate help to you. He won't do much for you for a few more weeks at least. I think you're ok at RB, Oakland and TB just had very very bad starts but at least one of those teams will get better and you have the sole starter on both. If you want a back with some risk/upside, try grabbing Jacobs or Turner of the WW. mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235386

    which rbs should I start?

Yep, Chester. It's a tough matchup but that's your best choice. Addai vs Jax isn't any better because the Jax defense is just as tough as chicago and he might not even get the carries anyway. mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235386

Pick 2 WR for this week

Yep, Philly pass D looked gross. No Kearse doesn't help them either, which make Bryant look better. Holt is a no brainer. Holt and Bryant. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235386

What WR could I expect to get for Gore or Westbrook?

I think Westbrook or Gore for Stallworth or Coles will benefit you both. People will probably say that he got the better of the deal because your backs are worth more. Pollard might help you at TE, you could start by offering Gore for Stallworth and Pollard but be willing to accept Gore for Stallworth. I think Coles and Stallworth are good, but the trouble is that they are both out to very hot starts. Check mine please: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235386

    Start QB

I'm glad you asked, this put things in perspective for me, I was questioning starting Warner because of the STL D that looks pretty good, but the fact that he's at home tips it in his favor. Check mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235386

I have a problem! Lots of good players available....

Since it's Yahoo. Definitely pick up Colston as your TE. In yahoo, he should be a WR/TE and they aren't going to change it. Dropping Leftwich or McNair is fine. You could probably get them back anytime you want. I would probably also drop K Jones for M Turner but that's just me, more upside. That would give two great starters, a solid back up / bye week fill in and 2 guys with big upside that you might be able to trade to improve you QB or WR situation later. By the way, who are you starting at QB this week? Check mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235386

1 week trades to cover bye weeks.

Good point Nichee, that’s why I don’t think the trade backs should be outlawed if the trades are generally fair on both sides. In the example above, if Driver breaks his leg during his game after we make the trade, then I’m not obligated to take him back. No league would have a mechanism in place to enforce that. Obviously if I try to trade Chester for Driver with a broken leg, then the rest of the league has every right to complain and not allow the trade. But if everything goes ok and the there’s no injuries, then I don’t think they have a right to complain simply because I traded him away the week before.

1 week trades to cover bye weeks.

I still haven’t heard any explanation as to why this is so wrong. To say that you should draft better (FranksTanks) isn't a valid argument. I could draft all WR and then trade for the other positions, that’s a bad draft but not against the rules in (most) leagues. With any trade, both owners should be improving their teams, otherwise, why make the trade? This usually happens because they are short at different positions. How is different if you make the trade because you are short at a position permanently (because of a season ending injury) or if it’s just a short term thing?

1 week trades to cover bye weeks.

I realize that I'm in a very small minority here. But I don't see the problem as long as each end of the trade is reasonably fair. Here's a situation that most would say is collusion, but I would say is not. I'm short on RBs this week because I have LT and JJ who are both on a bye. Another guy is short on WRs. Right now a RB/WR trade for us makes sense to fill holes so we trade Donald Driver for Chester Taylor. Next week comes along and I don't really need Taylor anymore because I have LT and JJ coming back off the bye week. So I start shopping Chester around to improve my WRs, it turns out the best I can get for him is... Donald Driver. Should I be prohibited from making the trade just because I dealt him the week before? Personally I wouldn't do the deal because I know the backlash it would cause, but I don't agree that it's collusion and wouldn't have a problem with someone else doing it. I'd like to hear a logical explanation as why this shouldn't be allowed. (note "because it's collusion" is not an explanation). Here’s another point, Would it be ok for me to trade JJ for Driver? How is that different than trading Chester for Driver? Assume for the point of argument that Chester and JJ are about the same and Driver for either one of them is a fair trade, if you don’t like the names substitute in your own.

Is anyone starting Jax Def this week?

Is anyone worried that the Jac defense is coming off a short week?
  21. preilly

    Future Trade Agreements?

Is it generally considered collusion to make a trade with someone with the agreement that you will trade back the following week? For example, if I'm short on WRs and rich in RBs this week because of bye/injuries and another player has the opposite problem, but we both like our teams in the long run, is it poor sportsmanship to swap players for a week and then swap back?

    bye week blues

I'm 2-0 now and looking ahead to Week 3. I have no defense to start this week and the best wire pickup looks like Was @ Hou LJ, JJ, Gates, SD Def are all have a bye this week I go up against 2-0 guy in week 3 who has the most overall points and no bye week problems, so I'm almost thinking of giving up on the week. Should I sacrifice a player to fill the D spot? If so, who do think I should drop? We start QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, D. PPR league. Here's my roster: QB Warner, Bledsoe, McNair RB LJ, Chester, JJ, Addai, Mike Bell WR Holt, Driver, Coles, Bryant, M. Jones TE Gates, Colston K Wilkins D San Diego

    QB dilema

If you can't go with 3 QB, I think your top two option are: 1) Stay put 2) Drop Green and go with Farve. Here's mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...=234490&hl=

    Better young WR?

I'd take Williamson. The Minn O is just going to get better this season and Williamson will get in the end zone more. Edwards will get the garbage when Cle is behind but he won't score much bc Cle sucks. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...=234490&hl=

    WR Pick 'em

Thanks for your input. M. Jones vs Horn is tight, I'd go with Horn based on the fact that I like his chances of finding the endzone in a shootout in GB. I also liked how Leftwich targetted Jones regularly last week so I think he will do decently in PPR. I give the edge to Horn, but starting Jones in understandable.
