    at least he didn't tie, and then find out he lost.

     

    i tied and no one (not even the commish) knew what the tie breaker was.

     

    a quick search of espn's FFL page shows that the default setting is that the higher seed wins. i was the lower seed.

     

    so while i tied, i technically lost the playoff game.

     

    ouch.

    if i somehow pull out a first round win despite rodgers performance (i am down by 3 with the Texans K tonight - but in a league where missed FGs result in negative points)... i have to strongly consider benching rodgers for Kaepernick next week.

     

    of course the problem is that if rodgers bounces back next week and i lose b/c of that decision - i have to spend the entire offseason kicking myself for that decision and benching my stud.

     

    man oh man... tough call

    something oddly comforting about knowing you're going 0-3 on a Thursday... takes away the stress/pressure of following all the news and the "gameday decisions" going up to Sunday kickoff.

    dammit.

     

     

    According to the San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee, "it is feared" Ryan Mathews (groin) will be unavailable for Week 9.

    Acee is one of the most reliable beat writers in the country, so his word should not be taken lightly. With San Diego's Wednesday practice coming less than 48 hours after Monday's loss, Mathews will almost certainly sit out. That means the first real clue as to his Sunday status will come on Thursday. You should tentatively plan on being without him this weekend.

    Keeping him in the 13th round, but also considering drafting an insurance guy in the 4-5 range. Hard to say right now.

     

    same boat as you... keeping him in the 14th round but am not quite sold on him being my QB1 next year (sophomore slump) and will likely draft an insurance guy in the same range... right now I have brees/newton and newton has not seen my starting lineup yet... wish he did this week after the dud of a performance the saints had against the vaunted Rams.
