Can't believe I'm agreeing with this but if your employer says go to work, you go to work. They own the work culture. PTO should be given and used for personal needs. Where I worked it was 100% unquestioned time off except at critical times of need for the work we do. Anyone who has has a full time job in any industry should factor in cost of child care before they go have a kid.
