Captain Bone Spurs says what about someone who didn't avoid the draft and was a US Marine during the Vietnam war? -
What is wrong with this man? Why would he would want to deny furloughed federal workers their back pay? https://www.npr.org/2025/10/07/g-s1-92363/omb-memo-shutdown-federal-worker-backpay White House floats no back pay for some furloughed federal workers despite 2019 law President Trump is floating the possibility that some of the roughly 600,000 furloughed federal workers could be denied back pay once the government reopens, despite a 2019 law intended to ensure federal employees are compensated after a shutdown. Speaking in the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump appeared to publicly back a draft White House memo that includes an argument for denying workers pay. "I would say it depends on who we're talking about," Trump said. "I can tell you this, the Democrats have put a lot of people in great risk and jeopardy, but it really depends on who you're talking about. But for the most part, we're going to take care of our people. There are some people that really don't deserve to be taken care of, and we will take care of them in a different way." When pressed on the legality of such a move, Trump said, "What the law says is correct and I follow the law."

SCOTUS seems set to rule against Colorado's ban on conversion therapy

https://x.com/benryanwriter/status/1975597739179192558 Breaking news: Supreme Court seems set to rule against Colorado’s ban on conversion therapy NYT reports: The Supreme Court’s conservative majority on Tuesday seemed poised to rule for a Christian therapist who says her free speech rights are violated by a Colorado law barring mental health professionals from seeking to change a teenager’s sexual orientation or gender identity. In a lively argument, which lasted an hour and a half, the justices debated whether the so-called conversion therapy covered by Colorado’s law causes harm to minors. Lawyers for the therapist and the Trump administration said there were no studies indicating such therapy causes harm. The state’s lawyer countered that there is a “mountain of evidence” that conversion therapy is ineffective and harmful. Medical organizations began to speak out against the practice in the late 1990s, citing a growing body of research that it was ineffective and potentially harmful. The court’s decision, expected by June, will have implications for the more than 20 other states that have similar laws. If the Supreme Court rules that Colorado’s law infringes on free speech and is subject to a demanding form of judicial review, the justices could send the case back to the lower court for further consideration — or declare the law unconstitutional and strike it down. Colorado lawmakers passed the restrictions in 2019, after major medical associations found conversion therapy ineffective and potentially harmful for young people. -
That was then and this is now. Your premiums will be increased significantly more than in the past with some people seeing their premiums doubled or tripled.

SMH. It looks like they have no intention of prosecuting this or asking Homan to step down. -
But as I noted above, he is doing better than before the suspension, averging 1.9M viewers on Oct 2 versus 1.6M.

I'm on the NYT mailing list for breaking news and couldn't find an article or tweet at the time to post. However another source now confirms this:

From a NYT email I just received: Trump Sends California National Guard to Portland, Ore. The move came less than a day after a judge blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to deploy the Oregon National Guard there. Gov. Gavin Newsom of California denounced the move as a “breathtaking abuse of power” and said California would sue.

Could be as reports are based on an anonomous source: From a couple of sources I found online: The second autopsy report for Trey Reed has not yet been released to the public, however, according to a source who isn't authorized to comment publicly, the autopsy of Trey Reed reveals that his death was not caused by a suicide.
