Virginia AG candidate texts revealed. Suggests that GOP house member deserves bullets to the head, dead children
squistion replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
I predicted that too along with noting that the Latinos who voted for Trump thinking he would only deport "violent criminals like rapists and murderers" would live to regret it. And they have as they have seen law abiding friend, neighbors, co-workers and family members rounded up and detained in these raids (many of which are US citizens). The only upside of this is that Republicans will probably lose at least a generation of Latino voters. -
From a Twitter summary of recent events: Federal Agents Clash with Portland Protesters as Judge Blocks Trump National Guard Deployment Last updated 3 hours ago On October 4, 2025, federal agents used tear gas and arrested at least five protesters outside the Portland ICE facility after demonstrators threw rocks and fireworks during an anti-deportation march. President Donald Trump ordered National Guard troops to the city, but U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut issued a temporary restraining order, ruling the move constituted executive overreach without evidence of rebellion. The clash highlighted tensions between federal enforcement, local residents frustrated by disruptions, and ongoing debates over protest rights and state sovereignty.

L.A. ICE thread: US Marshal and an undocumented immigrant were shot in an L.A. immigration raid
squistion replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
They sure do now as they are seeing friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members being snatched off the streets and thrown in the back of a truck and taken to some unknown location for deportation (some of whom are US citizens). Any gains the GOP has made among Latinos in recent years has been erased and this should solidify Latinos as a dependable voting block for Democrats for decades. -

Not surprising since he has nothing but contempt for them, as evidenced by the anti-Latino immigrant threads he has started for the ethnic group he always refers to as "Bad Hombres" -

She didn't say Latino's are good for washing cars. Please, that isn't what she thinks. And the quote from her was incomplete (which was not unintentional) she said: "It's hard to get your car washed in L.A. now. Why? Because they prey on car washes" -

Man stabs young child, released for good behavior.

Like it or not, sentencing guidelines have to be followed when a prisoner meets all the criteria. State authorities had no other alternative in the situation. -

No, Straw Man, I didn't say that, however sentencing guidelines have to be followed. -
Schumer knew exactly the possible consequences (since Trump threatened to do that) but he and Democrats are making a principled stand to protect the healthcare of millions of Americans - it is the right thing to do irrespective of the consequences IMO.

The jury is the one who found him not guilty of murder by reason of insanity, which to my understanding is a hard standard to meet. And guilty but mentally ill still got him a 20 year sentence on the assault charges (I don't know Kentucky law, but in California prisoners can get one day of credit against their sentence for every day served and there are also similar incentives to reduce sentence like he received). -
Democrats are getting better on their messaging. They are now calling it "Trump's Health Care Shutdown" and that hashtag is trending. #TrumpsHealthCareShutdown https://x.com/search?q=%23TrumpsHealthCareShutdown&src=trend_click&vertical=trends

https://x.com/SecWar/status/1974150886084485503 (video clip of attack at link) Secretary of War Pete Hegseth @SecWar Earlier this morning, on President Trump's orders, I directed a lethal, kinetic strike on a narco-trafficking vessel affiliated with Designated Terrorist Organizations in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility. Four male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike, and no U.S. forces were harmed in the operation. The strike was conducted in international waters just off the coast of Venezuela while the vessel was transporting substantial amounts of narcotics - headed to America to poison our people. Our intelligence, without a doubt, confirmed that this vessel was trafficking narcotics, the people onboard were narco-terrorists, and they were operating on a known narco-trafficking transit route. These strikes will continue until the attacks on the American people are over!!!! -
30th Anniversary: O.J. is acquitted for murder...

From AI: No, Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were not dating; their relationship was platonic, with friends and police describing them as friends who occasionally met for coffee and dinner. Goldman had borrowed Simpson's Ferrari when meeting a friend, and in the context of the O. J. Simpson trial, O.J. Simpson falsely accused Goldman of planning to sleep with Nicole. -
It is described as a "gay pride flag" which one would assume means a "rainbow flag" (they are almost synonomous) although there are a bunch of other lesser known Pride flags. In any event his superiors at the FBI in L.A. had no problem with it at the time.
-
And it should be noted that the Biden Administration flew a rainbow flag in US embassies all over the world during Pride Month, and if that is the case then the agent having a rainbow flag on his desk should have been OK. He might have the basis for a good lawsuit for wrongful termination since he would have no reason to believe what he did was unacceptable.
-
You have got to be kidding. He had a pride flag on his desk under the Biden Administration, when it was acceptable, and now he is getting retroactively fired for it. It has been obvious since his first term that Donald Trump is not a friend of the LGBTQ community and he keeps proving it.
-
Yeah, no matter what he does they keep repeating like parrots "That's what I voted for" And from the link: She said ICE agents took everyone in the building, including her, and asked questions later. I predicted this would happen, that a lot of innocent people who are lawful US citizens would be caught up in these sweeps looking for the undocumented and some of those will probably be deported if they have the wrong strong skin color and don't have the proper documentation on them.
